Good little hike with a waterfall at the end - entrance fees waived by a National Parks pass.

The views are as good as it gets! We hiked on Labor Day, so lots of hikers and dogs. Not terribly strenuous and only took a few hours. The water at the lake above was cold and refreshing to swim in. I’ll definitely hike again with my dog.

Not my favorite hike, but it’s nice. It’s a pretty busy trail but the waterfall at the end is fun.

We loved the hike and the tour! We took our 3 year old and 1 year old and they loved it.

One of my go-to hikes. Not very populated and has amazing views.

Pretty beautiful; enjoyed it. Great hike for a date with someone who isn’t that outdoorsy.

is nice place

One of my favorite hikes the way up is amazing and the caves are even cooler!

This was a beautiful hike but you now have to pay 6 dollars to park at the base of the hike or walk 2.2 miles to get to the hike.

Went on this trail last Friday and really enjoyed it!!! the lake was beautiful at the end of the hike and was perfect to relax at before heading down. the view was amazing and hoping to get back at it soon.

I'm a hiker from NH out visiting my daughters family. We started out around 8 am on a beautiful, cool and windy morning. The trail winds through beautiful Aspen forests with some spruce mixed in. The Aspen had turned yellow at the higher elevations and made for a beautiful contrast on the sides of the high mountains! The trail is moderate with nice flat sections through alpine meadows. My issue was the high altitude that I'm not acclimated to, but did the hike in about 2 hours with photo ops along the way. Spectacular views! Well worth the time and effort!

Okay, I’m from Missouri and this hike was quite the challenge for someone not from Utah. The views were breathtaking, the lake was serene and totally worth it & refreshing. Going up is a challenge as it’s rocky as you get closer to the top, and it requires a lot of leg strength. We took numerous breaks but eventually made it. It took us an hour and thirteen minutes to get down but about 2 hours to get up. The road up to the trailhead was a bit scary as you’re right along the edge but just take it slow.
Overall:
Trail difficulty: strenuous
Road up to trail: rocky&bumpy&steep

Better than I even expected! The leaves are starting to change.

Great hike but I wouldn't have labeled it as easy. Towards the end of the hike it became a challenge. The last part of the trail to get to the lake is steep and involves switchbacks. To me pretty strenuous but the result of it is very rewarding.

Hate they make you pay now. But this trail is family friendly with some information. It's always nice and cool especially with a breeze.

9.3.18 - this is a pretty easy trail. I started it at 8:15am and the lots and side of the road were so full. but the time I came back down it was a circus on the trail. there were so many people it was like bestbuy and Walmart on black Friday. lots of crying kinds and college kids blasting the music. I'd say do this trail during the week, very early in the morning. you'll enjoy it so much better.

Such a good hike to a beautiful, well worth view. Our pup enjoyed the walk and being able to freshen up in the streams along the way.

Great trail overall. Most of it can be considered easy. However, it is important to note that the final tenth of a mile or so is quite rigorous with switchbacks. The payoff is just at the top of the hill though. For this who are not accustomed to walking at higher elevation and/or engaging in regular exercise, the last 10th is quite challenging.

Also, there is NO shuttle bus. You can buy lift tickets at Albion base (ample parking). It is FREE to ride the lift DOWN, but not up.

Fun hike, but a little misleading for first-timers. The falls—which are awesome—are within the first half-mile of the hike. On a holiday (like today—Labor Day), that section of the hike is very busy. From there, the trail along the stream is very narrow in parts, with treacherous, loose gravel drop offs. If you have little ones like us, you’ll want to keep a hand on them.
After the first mile, which is quite steep to boot, the trail evens out and is quite lovely. We didn’t quite make it to the end, but came within spitting distance—we clocked exactly 4 miles total. Plan on around three hours if you’re going to go the distance.

Went on Labor Day and easily found a place to park. Not a super busy trail. Like others, we took Lame Horse to Flat Horse and then to the overlook. If we did it again, we would still do the loop, but go Flat Horse to the overlook, then coming back from the overlook, take a right on Flat Horse (there is no sign) and then Lame Horse back to the parking lot. Starting with Lame Horse and then to Flat Horse is pretty steep. And, what others haven't said too much is the .4 miles to the overlook is really really really steep, but very worth it!! Great hike!

Great hike for children. Bring or wear Chacos, Keens, or other water shoes.

Fun, short hike! Parking lot fills up quick, and it costs 6$ to get in. Fun for families, pets, as a date, etc

A beautiful hike! Definitely go early because we got there @8 and as we were getting back to the car @10:30 tons of people hiking up. Next time we would go an hour earlier but 8 wasn’t that bad

This is my favorite hike in Utah county! It would be nice if the trailhead was marked so you know you're on the right path...I was confused for a bit before I figured out which trail to take.

Great hike!! Went up early in the morning to avoid people and I was glad I did!! By the time I got to the waterfall, and hung out for 15 mins, the people started rolling in. I had very quiet hike to the fall, but going back was getting crowded. The pup and I will for sure be going back.

What a great trail!! My pup and I went early on in the morning (around 7:45am) on a Sunday and only saw 3 other people. It was cool weather which was nice. The hike was great. A little steeper than I thought, but managed to do it just fine (gave my thighs a little burn) and my dog did it easily. The first waterfall is the tallest one (and where most people stopped and turned around). If you keep going there are a few smaller waterfalls and just amazing scenery in general. I followed the All Trails outline of the trail and it lead to a beautiful open meadow area. The trail goes on, but we decided to go back to the truck and it turned out to be a total of 4.5 miles round trip. I am happy I went earlier as when I was heading down, towards the waterfalls were the families and such. I prefer to just hike with the pup and myself so we try to do all of our hikes early on, plus the weather is nicer. Like I said earlier, it is a little steep and it's a lot of loose rocks (be careful if you aren't sure footed or have kids as it is a little narrow). I can't wait to do this hike again.

Fun hike but I wouldn’t say it’s easy. More moderate. I hike a lot and it’s a good little climb.

My husband and my first ever hike. Beautiful and easy morning. Parts were crowded but likely had to do with being Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Will definitely be something we do again.
