Favorite hike in Zion! Very strenuous, but worth it for the view at the end.

First mile was the toughest for me. The scenery is so BEAUTIFUL, it is worth the work getting up there and taking it all in. Wasn't too busy for this time of year. Took us about 4 hours all together (including lots of mini breaks and spending about 10-15 min at the top). AllTrails says its 7.1 round trip but I have read elsewhere that it's 8 miles round trip.

Loved the view! Quick and easy hike with a great view. The trail was snowy and icy at points but completely walk-able with just our hiking boots (no poles or shoe grips).

Loved the hike, easy, with great views. It was a bit difficult at times to see the cairns but we were able to get back on the trail. Icy and snowy at parts but we were fine with our hiking boots (no trek poles or shoe grips).

Arriving just as the sun appears in the east is a perfect time for morning hike, trail traffic is extremely light and the temperatures are in the comfortable 50s.
One of the first trail treats is Thor’s hammer. Thor’s Hammer may be one of the most photographed features of Bryce Canyon as it’s located a short distance from the beginning of the Navajo Loop trailhead at Sunset Point. After hiking past Thor’s Hammer, a series of switchbacks descend down about 650 ft. to the amphitheater floor as the Ponderosa Pines welcome you. Next the trail gently traverses across the heavily forested amphitheater floor, and in the distance you can hear the neighing and snorting of horses as their riders guide them along the equestrian trail. No other sounds seem to be present for the next mile... just the soft music of my shoes caressing the trial and the alluring swish of the ice in my canteen. Further on the beautiful rolling terrain becomes dotted with the Colorado Pinyon. This hearty shrub is more suited to the drier elevations and its wide root system keeps each one a good distance from its neighbor.
This has been quite an intoxicating experience!

Great hike and nice view. Generally a constant incline but changing trail scenery/conditions. Lots of places to sunbathe, picnic, etc at the point. Didn’t get on the trail until 1245 because of car problems but actually made it up and back in under 4 hours because I didn’t take a break until the top bc of 530 sunset and allegedly 6 hrs round trip. Glad I didn’t push it to the next day and let vehicle issues waste my whole day.

Did counterclockwise and the only part not ABSOLUTELY breathtaking (but still nice surroundings) was the final leg on rim trail to get back to sunrise point where I was parked. It was 0 at sunrise and rose to high 30s so I was sweating during the hike — so later/pack appropriately (for all hikes)

Great hike. Strenuous, but worth the effort. Did it in early December and temps were perfect. A little muddy/snowy at the top, but nothing a good pair of hiking boots can’t handle. Went through about 1.5L of water, completed in about 4hr 20min (stopped at the top for 20-30 min).

Super fun trail. Took the route of starting at the Primitive trail and ending with Devils Garden Main trail. Personally I found this to be nice because I went up the steep rock on primitive and not down it, which I was told many people turn around at that point. I will say though if going in the winter and planning on taking the same route, have ice spikes or chains. The Main Trail was icy around 2pm. The whole loop took me 4 hours and that includes stopping for lunch at Dark Angel and getting lost for about a half mile while looking for the Main Trail. Good hike all in all.

Amazing. Any photo can prove his magnificense.

excellent trail. nice quick easy hike

We completed this hike in a little over 8 hours. We started at 8:30am hiked down to the Colorado River. We made it down by 12:00pm. The views on the way down are amazing! We stopped a few times for pictures and to take in the scenery. We did not go the whole way up to Phantom Ranch, we just went straight onto the Bright Angel Trail. The weather was great towards the bottom, I started out with a thermal, sweatshirt, vest and jacket with leggings and sweatpants. Through the first part I ended up taking off my jacket and then my sweatshirt. Before we hiked back up I took off my sweatpants. The hike up was pretty steep. We finished the second part of the hike by 4:15pm. We hiked just about 16.75 miles in one day. This is not recommended, however we were determined! We weren’t too prepared either because we did not expect to do that. But it was very rewarding when we finished! Once we starting getting closer to the top it became colder and I had to put some of my layers back on. Definitely a breathtaking experience!

I love exploring slot canyons. What I like about this trail is that when hiking the loop you hike through several different slot canyons. Non of them look alike. Each has their own uniqueness. I enjoyed hiking counterclockwise. I got some great pictures.

This hike is fantastic. Pretty strenuous, but the payoff is amazing. The views cannot be beat. There are some steep dropoffs, but the trail is wide enough and it’s nice to have the mountain on one side of you. Every part of this hike is jaw-dropping. Echo Canyon is so cool and the views from the top are breathtaking. Did this in early December and the cool air was very welcome! There was snow but only at the very top on the last flat stretch. A must do hike!

Beautiful wintry hike through the hoodoos. The views at the start are phenomenal, and as you hike down into the valley, they get even more unique and interesting. The trail is really easy to follow. Wall Street was open for us and was a fun, although very short and super steep, slot canyon. We added on Peekaboo Loop - fantastic!

Once you have the pamphlet the trail is very easy to find. Recommend doing this hike for sunset, it was beautiful and not a very large crowd. Will need some flashlights for the route back as it can be easy to lose the trail.

Amazing hike. A group of us did it after thanksgiving. A little bit of ice when we started at 630a. Not enough to justify the extra weight of crampons. The canyon looks prettiest during morning light. I would have started earlier with headlamps to see the sunset from closer to Indian gardens. Took us about 7hrs to get back to our cars. The last three miles is by far the hardest part on tired legs!

Busy at the top, but the crowd thins as you descend. A great hike with great scenery.

A beautiful hike with otherworldly views of Zion. Every turn looked completely different and stunning in its own way. We stayed in campsite 4 the week of Thanksgiving. It got pretty chilly at night but during the day the weather was perfect.

Amazing Trail!

Great hike over looking the Zion canyon and angels landing. I would have to say this was my favorite hike compared to angels landing b fuse you are at a high elevation see everything

October 2018- this hike is definitely a must do! We started at about 745 AM. Every turn had stunning views. We took so many pictures. The overlook was my favorite in the region. We saw chipmunks at the top. It took us 4 hours and 15 minutes. Don’t miss out on this hike!

Great sunrise spot. The glow of the sun on the arch is beautiful. The view of canyons behind the arch is also lovely. The trail is very short and takes less than 20 minutes to walk to the arch and easy to follow. Going in mid November was great to miss the crowds but there was still about 10 of us at the arch for sunrise

What a sunset spot! You have to check out this arch close up it is really something. Walk isn’t too tough and trail is easy to follow with trail markers along the way. Toke us about 40 minutes to the top and 30 mins on way down. Was pretty busy even in mid November but a most do if in arches. Plenty of parking and toilets at the trailhead.

October 2018- Amazing trail! We parked at sunset point and saw a beautiful sunrise over the hoodoos with a sparse crowd. Unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. You really feel like you are on another planet. Highly recommend. Every corner you turn you’ll want to take a picture! Took us a little under 2 hours.

One of the most popular hikes in the park and there is a reason. It’s a pretty high elevation gain over the 1.5 miles so take your time as you are going up. Plenty of places to stop and rest along the way. Once you are almost to the top there is a pretty small ledge that you walk around so those with heights might have some issues. Once you make it it is all worth it. The view is amazing and it is as spectacular as all the pictures you see of it. Make sure you take water and headlamps if there is any chance you are coming down in the dark. Kids loved it!

Worth hiking this trail to the end as it provides views on the other side of the mesa too! For more details and pics, visit https://etbtravelphotography.com/2018/11/20/best-hikes-canyonlands/

Simple Trail with a few signs indicating surrounding vegetation. Nice view of canyon through arch. For more details and pics visit: https://etbtravelphotography.com/2018/11/20/best-hikes-canyonlands/

Amazing. I am a teensy bit scared of heights, but easily made it over the double o fin with a bit of hand holding and a whole lottta confidence.

This is by far an impressive hike! The primitive loop is well worth it. Truly gorgeous.
