Fun , challenging hike with non stop ascent . The views from the fire tower are the reward !

Great day hike. Perfect for someone who enjoys beautiful scenery, sweating and walking uphill. The views from the Tower were magical. Took me 4hrs (including a lunch) :).

Definitely a really fun trail! Getting that high in just 2 miles was mind blowing. The lighthouse at the top was pretty cool to! Definitely would want to do this hike again and I would recommend it for anyone who’s staying around Hunter NY!

My wife and I did 9 hours of hiking and we did both Algonquin and Wright. Really great trail conditions today and really nice people along the way. it's not an easy hike but the views were spectator.

Breath taking views, some big rocks, and some semi difficult to hike areas bc of the ice.

Nice hike, but there was a lot of water in the trail in August. I recommend leaving early and making it a very sunny day, as the summit is completely in the clouds. Bring walking sticks and several people are wearing clothes. Allow at least 6 hours.

Definitely a hike worth taking. Stop at Upper Falls for a view then hike thru the woods and down the stone steps to the middle of falls and on down to the bottom. All picturesque. Head back up the hill but don’t go back to the parking lot yet just at top of hill beyond steps is a trail to the right leading 1.2 miles thru the woods and out along a hilltop to Inspiration Point which has Spectacular views of mountain tops and mountain sides. WELL worth the hike!

Great hike if you like a challenge. Almost anyone can do it, but it’ll be slow and grueling if you’re not prepared. The views from the fire tower are spectacular. Make sure to have plenty of water, especially if you go in the summer. The ascent is a serious grade so be prepared to be breathing heavy, so the flip side is the descent is slower due to the rugged terrain. Without a doubt the toughest of the 5 towers but definitely worth it.

This trail has you climbing from the bottom of the mountain up to the falls on a very rocky trail with stairs to climb as you get closer to the falls. We did it with two 3 year olds and one 8 year old. They all did very well with it but are used to hiking. If you have kids who aren’t used to this I’d suggest doing the trail from the top of the mountain down to the falls as it’s shorter with steps most of the way. Very nice place though - highly recommend!

Great trail, not too busy and the falls were beautiful!

Challenging hike, gaining over 2000 ft in about 2 miles. Nothing technical but just a relentless incline all the way to the top. Took about 4.5 hours to complete with a decent break at the fire tower. Took the blue all the way up. Then took the yellow to the blue on the way down. Quite enjoyed the hike! Beautiful views from the fire tower. Definitely coming back!

This short trail is a pretty steep climb up some really interesting rocky stairs. The views at the top are incredible and the height of the waterfalls will take your breath away. We arrived at 10am with few other people on the trail, but as we descended around noon a lot of parties were just starting so I'd say hit it early in the day. I would definitely visit this spot again.

Great hike. Challenging but fun. Did this with my 18 month old on my back. Worth it.
