Good quick retreat into the “hills” from the suburbs. Trails are generally well kept.
Parking is extremely limited and scenery is not particularly gorgeous.

Nice hike but with varying trail signs, which made it hard to tell if you were on the loop or not. Very beautiful though! Lovely at sunset. Good for dogs.

This loop trail will take about 45 minutes to walk. There are two major inclines. Doable. Wildlife present. Parking is limited.

One of my fave hikes to go on with my dog, there is the best of open space preserve and sheltered lush forest. During the summer the shaded portion is welcomed after the heat!

I don’t know why people were saying this trail isn’t easy. I don’t hike all that often, and while it was lengthy for time spent on your feet, it certainly isn’t strenuous. I went the direction of Sunset to Cinderella (counterclockwise). This way had a lot of downhill toward the end which was slippery and no fun if you have bad knees. I recommend maybe going the other direction (clockwise). You may get a little more uphill workout but then it will chill out. A small window of views of the bay, but that’s it. Otherwise just a pretty trail. 85% shade. Went at 1:30pm on a Monday. Few families with dogs and a few bikers, nothing crazy. Enjoyed it overall!

Great trail for running/ hiking since it is paved. Relatively easy hike more than moderate. Great view at the top esp during sunset. Once you get to the top it’s relatively flat. Finding a parking is pretty hard esp in the afternoon. Did saw a tarantula a few times during my hike

A few very steep (but short) hills otherwise a nice rolling hike. Great views, completely in the sun, so wear sunscreen & bring a hat and your water! Paved trail, well maintained, great for strollers but NO dogs allowed. Parking can be a challenge esp in the mornings-8:00am-11:00am, so be patient.

It said easy so I wore normal shoes and slipped several times on steep rocky downhill areas. It’s also super dusty because of all the mountain bikes, so instead of looking at green foliage it’s all brown.

nice view

I'm rating this trail 1 star because it is definitely not an easy trail. If you're a novice you won't like this trail. Definitely a beautiful hike but this trail has 100s of mountain bikers on it. I had to move around 50 times out of the way of mountain bikers. There were areas on the trail only 2 feet wide where you have to make room for mountain bikes moving at 25 mph. This trail is not KID FRIENDLY like suggested above. Steep hills with unsafe conditions. I went with my sister and towards the end of the trail we saw a family approaching the trail and urged then to turn around. We warned them that it wasn't safe for kids. Out of control mountain bikers make this trail uncomfortable and nerve recking during tight quarters. It's a beautiful trail that should be dedicated to either hiking or mountain biking, not both. I'm not a rookie hiker. I've been on over 100 hikes from this all trails app

Nice beginner hike. Can be completed in an hr and a half.

This trail appeared shorter than advertised. The start of the trail is not well marked so it’s difficult to find the trailhead although once underway all other intersecting trails were readily identifiable. The flush toilets at the parking area were a definite plus. I would rate this trail as easy and not moderate.

This was a nice trail it is moderate and be prepared to go off trail for Cinderella Trail. It was quite a challenge finding Cinderella trail. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my son who went with me on this hike. There are lots of bikers so don’t bring little kids under the age of 5. Overall the trail was a workout which I enjoyed.

It's a good beginner trail. Some good views.

Sep 2. Bring lots of water, chapstick, and sunscreen. I didn’t finish the loop because the incline was intense.

super easy if your just starting out fun path ways you can take all over the park

Ideal time would be October-April if coming from afar. It’s green and therefore full of oxygen. Remaining months are nice too, just not green — dry and golden instead.

My wife and I went in the evening on Sunday with our dog and it was great. The uphill at the beginning can definitely get your legs warmed up. At the end you can go to little Yosemite which is a nice spot for a dip in the little pools. Our dog loved it and played in the water to cool off. The walk back around 7pm (golden hour) was especially great as the light hits the hills and really brings out the beauty of the land. Highly recommended doing this during the evening, we also walked by a small herd of cows which was cool way to end the hike. During our time here we only encountered a handful of people and the dog is able to be off leash on the trail which is great.

tricky parking

Beautiful scenery with some nice mild inclines to make it decent enough exercise for the day. We went on a Wednesday around 6:30 and there were only a few hikers and a couple of mountain bikers. Great views and easy parking. Highly recommend and would go again.

"Due to Maintenance – Stanford Dish will be closed from July 28, 2018 to August 11, 2018."

Excellent Trail...Plenty of Shade...Free Parking...Friendly People...would totally go again.

Nice paved trail for everyone. Short, some pretty steep parts but has great views of the bay. I could see the Dumbarton, San Mateo and can also make out the Bay Bridge, not to mention the outline of part of the SF city.

Drove to the Stanford Dish from the East Bay and found out it is closed until August 11th.
