Karla Gomez has no idea what a review encompasses. It's unfortunate that it's closed due to the recent fires but by no means does it diminish the beauty of it. It's a neat little trail with ample shade and plenty to look at.

Good short walk with a few different areas to see. I particularly love a small pond filled with koi, ducks and turtles. There is a larger lake as well. Great hike overall, now a normal spot for me.

P.S.
If you go to the small pond there is a goose/duck there that looks like a cross between a vulture and duck. Its name is Duckasaurus. Say hi if you get the chance!

Three stars is because it’s so dusty. You couldn’t access the parking lot because the road was closed due to fire danger. So I parked along the side of the road walked up the hill a bit and found a place to enter. Once he and I had a Tonna fun and it wasn’t crowded at all then again it’s a Wednesday morning. Straight up I went and the rundown was very easy. If you got an hour and a half to kill go knock it out.

The waterfall (in November) was pretty small but the hike was nice, not a ton of people, and easy to get to, would recommend

Fun and easy hike and the fall was beautiful. The parking lot was closed because of fire season. The incline from the parking area was the hardest part and added a mile to the hike. When the parking lot is open I would recommend for children.

Trail closed due to fires right now

Good quick hike, awesome pond

really super for kids and dogs. wonderful hike

Nice walk. Saw many birds. Went on Sunday and there was a ranger on premise.

I wish it would be longer but it’s still a nice stroll. Good place to get away and clear your head.

Loved it!! Such an amazing peaceful place

Very easy trail with a little waterfall at the end. I recommend if you want more of a workout to park at the bottom of the parking lots and walk up the roads :)

It is a good hike overall, but not great. The length is recorded more of a 3.8 mile hike.

Initial descent is steep and on a road for the first 3/4 mile. From there it’s dirt roads/trails.

Several other hikers along the trail, one of which warned of a rattle snake ahead on the trail.

Unfortunately we got to the end and there was no water at the falls. Definitely a disappointment, but just no rain recently to provide the spectacle.

This is your go-to family friendly hike. Be sure to arrive early as parking spots fill up quickly. (I suggest arriving around 8 am unless you want to hike to the trailhead) You will need an Adventure pass. You could purchase a day permit near the trailhead for 5 dollars, make sure you have it in cash. Have fun!

As a visitor from Texas I would rate this higher than moderate but I’m not used to hiking mountains either. The other hikers are super friendly and my dog loved it as much as me. Great place to hike!

It’s a tough hike definitely, I did it the opposite way round to most people. I started by parking on the Brand library road then headed off right past the kids park, there is a drainage ditch on your left you can head up to hit the trail but I walked past the chain barrier up an old windy access road that ends after five mins in a kind of clearing, look right and take the sharp incline path/scramble then head left up the ridgeline to join the trail. Five mins of hard slog up the hill then when the radio masts are in sight take the left path off the sharp incline, it seems to be dropping away and does for a while into the canyon but soon starts to rise again. This will then give you an hour of twisting path slowly gaining height but very hard still, especially with the sun beating down on you.
At the top of the mountain after taking in the amazing views you head for the radio masts again keeping on the high paths. You just need to eyeball the long semi straight path all the way down the ridge as the right turn off is easy to miss. Then it’s a jog and scramble down the sharp decline everyone has been mentioning for their initial start point of the hike. Took me two and a half hours. Trashed!

Still has running water down falls but stream trickles out fast through out hike. Falls r fairly busy. Lots of places to hang out at falls area. Perfect for your lil ones did it wait my 4 year old he loved it

lots of logs, boulders and streams to jump through. my soon to be 4yr old had a blast!

I take everyone here!!!
It has it all! The drive to the parking lots has spectacular views as well! The hike is dog and family friendly and is @ 3 miles. The trail is an ADVENTURE! Starts on pavement and views of the hills and valley then heads into the woods! Lots of cover and the trail moves along the waterway and crosses it a few times, so be careful with your footing over wet rocks! And the payoff is a gorgeous WATERFALL!!!!!
And now that we're getting some rain, finally, even better!
This hike never gets old!!!
ENJOY!!!

I've walked this trail plenty of times. Usually to take some friends that just want a simple walk in the woods that isn't too strenuous. Though it isn't my favorite. As other have mentioned parking is minimal and it is pretty congested. It's great after showers. If it wasn't for the crowd and location I would've given it another star. Bottom line: neat trail, parking sucks, initial paved road, and congestion.

The challenge was real! Quite the incline from the start, especially since I made my own starting point up an old access road and then scaled the side of a mountain to eventually find the trail.
Great workout and amazing views.

Love this little trail!

Busy trail for weekend warriors looking for a nice climb. Parking lot gets full by 7am so you will see cars parked on the road on the way up. Trail is easy to follow and the falls are underwhelming thanks to the dry So Cal summer.

Just did this hike this morning. It was a great hike with amazing views and good incline. Saw 2 deer on the trail, which was exciting. My friends and I hiked it counterclockwise and there were areas near the top that were quite slippery to the first tower. I’m glad we did not have to go down that way. Coming down was a little boring, but I’d definitely do it again.

Nice shady short hike.

Currently my favorite trail, however it becomes very busy during the week ends. I would suggest to arrive super early or car pool.
