Upcoming Hikes Map

Good hike almost 4 miles. Always like seeing the falls. First time taking this trail.

Great for a quick loop or two! Beautiful pond off of one of trails!!

Excellent winter hike! Little muddy, but trail is well maintained so not a huge deal.

Hard, but well worth it!

Great hike and the twin sisters were great. The smaller stream in front of the mudcatcher was pretty high so I had to cross it closer to the 82 bridge just off the unpaved section of the towpath trail that veers off of the paved trail. The crossing was right before the iron walking bridge before the un paved trail connects with the paved trail again.

My first time there today, loved it,even though I had to cut my hike short due to pouring rain.

Nive variety of elevation, easy to navigate, really beautiful! Not too difficult as there's stairs at the steeper parts. Can definitely get muddy depending on the weather.

different routes if the stairs r 2 challenging. ..n ur woodsy area, nature center free nearby

Lovely day out for my very first solo hike! Challenging trail at times, especially on some of the hills. Pretty muddy after the heavy rain we got, but absolutely beautiful and just the right amount of uphill vs. flat to make it a challenge, but not extremely difficult. Will be returning on a drier day for sure!

little confusing to find where to start. pretty simple though. I'll try to help.

leave the parking lot, cross the iron bridge, walk towards and under the 82 bridge, come to the mudcatcher on your right. cross the river go up that valley... walk the river, the hillside, what ever, till you get there.

I did it in the snow with no visible trail. but very worthwhile.

Difficult hike during 10 degree weather. Amazing and beautiful sight. Make sure you have good boots!

Beautiful in the winter- even the frozen falls!

So cool we did it twice in 3 weeks

Amazing scenery and a great hike to do with your best friend

Pretty easy trail, 1 large hill. Trails have lots of exposed roots. Good long trail.

Pretty views, nice picture stop near the waterfall, well marked. Decent challenge - lots of hills and steps to keep the hike interesting

Visited on a rainy day. Beautiful and so different than most of Ohio parks. More graffiti and trash that I would’ve like to see. Can get tricky as Trail isn’t marked well, but you shouldn’t get too lost. A must see if you haven’t yet.

it used to be very beautiful place for extremely short time of window walk but yet lately there's just too much graffiti on the rock formations and the trees it's a sad sight

This my go-to if I’m not in the mood to search for a new trail. Be sure to use the nature trail (instead of the paved path) for a proper “hike”. I usually start by the Marina where there is plenty of parking. The nature trailhead is just behind the shop.

Good well marked trail easy to follow. Parking at the house is limited but over flow parking at Towpath trail. A couple of serious uphills and downhills but not bad.

not a lot of birds Wildlife but a crap load of people but that's a good thing because that's what they're for people to walk around not so much good birding very bad for that

Easy to get to when the canal is low just cross at the mud at her and to the left slightly, then follow the river bank and it will dead end into the falls. Beautiful find ! With or without water flowing.

Wow!!! First time hiking the Plateau Trail with friends and I would rate it as moderate. Not for beginner hikers. Not as much color as I thought there would be but maybe most of the leaves have fallen since it is mid Oct. Trails a little tricky to navigate because of tree roots crisscrossing and stones on trail but not impossible. Would like to see a few more scattered benches. Got a little mixed up as the trail nears the entrance on Riverview Rd. Managed to walk the 5 mile trail in about 2 hrs 45 minutes. Beautiful scenery and a beautiful park.

You can take off your shoes and walk in the stream instead of going on the trail since the stream bed is smooth, flat rock. It will not hurt your feet!

No water was flowing which made the hike easier, but it would have been nice to see the sisters

Beautiful hike. It felt longer than expected for some reason. I'm usually into waterfall/rock formation hikes, so this was a nice change of pace. Glad I went. Fairly easy with fantastic lake views and mild hilly terrain to make it really interesting. Park at the boat rental area and hike counter clockwise.

Whipps exceeded my expectations. Along the same lines as Nelson Ledges, but a little less strenuous and felt a little shorter. Amazing rock formations and drop offs. My only negative is that there is a little more graffiti than I can handle. Otherwise, get this hike on your credit list!!!

Really enjoyed this trail! Peaceful, scenic, slightly challenging in spots with the elevation changes.

Did a slightly modified version going to the ponds, but the pups loved it and lightly trafficked on a Thursday morning
