I loved this trail down to the water. Perfect for a quick little walk.

Hiked this on Thursday. No blow downs...all removed! Trail in great shape. No mud or water on rail. Light traffic. Rock Hopper.

Lots of trails to get lost in for off road vehicles. Had a blast.

Quick, steep hill to get your heart rate up

What a gorgeous hike, we loved it! Going back up was pretty hard though, over 100 stairs and steep, felt like a never ending road to get back to the car.

Great walk, easy main loop. Side trails are marked occasionally not so well. The map around the trails isn’t very accurate. So make sure you have another map on a phone. Beautiful the dog loved it. Nice place to stroll not much to look at.

I do this loop almost anytime I’m in Olympia. Quick, easy, and pretty.

Absolutely stunning hike!
Highly recommend good shoes for this and pay attention to the terrain on the way down as much as the way up, if not more! I had an accident on the way down with a not-so-great outcome, but got some gorgeous photos on the way up, and proud to be able to say, ‘I made it to the top!’

Always a beautiful walk

I enjoyed the forest view. There are some nice camera moments as you go along the trail. The hike is not difficult at all. Even some of the trail names are entertaining. It's a good one to try.

Well maintained trail, short and sweet! Great sunny cold day with some peekaboo views.

Little gem in town.

Did this hike about a month ago! Definitely gets your heart pumping! The view at the top wasn’t really much of anything, however it was an awesome work out and really pretty greenery!!! ❤️

it was a good easy trail. I didn't do much research on this trail so I showed up in jeans and a jacket. I should've used leggings or some sort of athletic wear. it was still muddy beginning of November. easy trail. I would definitely bring a friend I stead of going alone.

Great morning trail during the summer before it gets to hot. This is a great work out on the way up as it does get pretty step. But fun with the views and good company.

Did a quick up and down the back way from the parking lot. Cool day for hiking. No rain. No mud. Had my son Jim and April, daughter in law, in tow. Happy Trails.

definitely have a map! more than just a photo at the entrance, easy to get lost.

Nice cityside walk. This isn't "the wilderness" so don't expect the prisrine beyond of Port Townsend but still very quaint and pretty.

beautiful surprise great for weddings

Great if you want a workout. Some cool views along the way but no views at the top. Gravel pathways the whole way up with some optional traversing paths through the woods. We brought our three young kids and had to carry them pretty much the whole way up - it’s steep. You don’t need a pass and the facilities and trail are new, nice and clean!

Very busy walk right in downtown Olympia. It’s good for going on a walk if you don’t want to or don’t have time to get into the woods. It’s a nice and clean trial, with views on Mt. Rainer and the capital building.

Beautiful, well-maintained park. Make sure to take a map, there are lots of trails to follow.

Huge place, tons of trails perfect for biking & hiking. Do yourself a favor and study map or you will get lost!

I enjoyed all of the hydrangea and blackberries and harbor views during our visit in June. Nice stroll after eating.

Part of the Olympia experience. Always a nice walk.

A little steep but worth the hike!

More of a nature walk than a hike, although there are some (very short) steep portions of the trail. Nice little jaunt through the trees near Alaska Junction!

great hike. loved the blackberry bushes. it got noisy sometimes with planes flying over us but other then that I really enjoyed it.
