Beautiful view of the waterfall and Lake. Did this hike a few years back. I would do it again.
For such a short hike it seemed like we were so far away when we got to the lake and falls. We were tempted to keep going on another trail we saw at the lake but since we were on our way back home we decided it wouldn’t be a good idea not knowing how far and how long it would take.

snowshoeing

This was my first snow shoe hike, we had really bad luck with rain and low visibility. But it was still a really good hike, my only complaint is the noise from the snowmobiles we had to deal with.

Great winter hike. Easy out and back completed in snow boots. Bring snowshoes if you have them.

walking

An easy walk, my old dog loved it. Perfect conditions while I was there.

This was a good hike. If the ending had a better view I would have given this a higher score. But otherwise, it was enjoyable and a great workout with pretty good views throughout.

A little more difficult than I had expected, but pretty nonetheless. There are about two areas with views on the trail (really just one great one), but being one of “those” hikers who likes the payoff at the end, I wasn’t thrilled with how intense the last 0.3ish miles was, for zero view at the top (unless you consider an electrical substation gorgeous). So, overall a bit disappointed this comes up when “views” are filtered but I would probably do it again with some detours to the falls, like some reviews mentioned, with a friend.
You will need a Discover pass!
I didn’t see any bridges that were out, so must have been fixed.

Bridge is in working order

Nice easy terrain. I did this one with my 9 and 10 year olds in October. Old growth for the first half, conference center halfway through the loop provided a nice easy break/restroom stop. More open brush for the second half.

Easy hike went early, had Trail to ourselves. Will go again.

Nice easy hike. We continued to a beautiful Bear lake which is only 1.5 km from the Junction lake.

I went with Lisa. see the review below

8/28/18 Loved this trail. Wanted a mellower hike after doing the nearby 6.1 mile Indian Heaven hike yesterday. Slightly hilly, so got our heart rate up, but not too challenging. Beautifully groomed trails. Lots of ripe huckleberries trail side-wished I had brought a container to pick into and take home. Only saw one other group of hikers and a small group camping at the lake-which was muddy. Overall just a lovely, peaceful trail.

Tuesday early afternoon, we saw about 15 people total, which is more than I'm used to on other trails. Everyone was super polite and we still got to the lake and enjoyed it solo for almost 45 minutes, which was a real treat. Not as many bugs as expected, very clear and easy hike. Definitely a good starter trail or hike with kids. Only a short part vaugely close to a drop off but the trail is wide and it's not directly adjacent the trail.

Yes a bridge is out, currently the stream is a trickle and can be crossed super easy. I ran this and liked the view of St. Helens around 2miles in, you can also see Mt Hood on the trail up.

This is a beautiful out and back trail to hike with almost all the elevation gain on the first 2.5 miles from the trailhead to Junction lake, but the return hike is mostly downhill. You must register at the trailhead with the provided tags (even if your just day hiking and not backpacking), but it’s quick, easy and free.
BRING BUG REPELLENT!! During mosquito season it’s unbelievably terrible how many times we were bitten, even with frequent repellent application, so be prepared.

It’s a favorite hike for my wife and I with our Lab. Remember that our 4 legged friends must be on leash and happy trails!

Beautiful views of the mountain and stream. June Lake is pretty to look at, but it is not a lake; it's the little cousin of a pond. Not great for hammock camping if you need relatively specific distances between trees for your tarp, and don't plan on even getting your shins cooled down in the "lake". Great day hike if you just want to see some views though!

I like this trail. Worth squirming your way to the waterfalls when you get to the lake. Theres the big one and a misty one with great photo ops. Pretty quiet and easy trail. Mushrooms  everywhere but can’t pick

Nice, easy hike to a lake with a waterfall flowing into it. The lake didn't look very appealing to swim in because the it has a gooey muddy shore and is pretty shallow, but it's beautiful for taking a photo. I want to come back and do a backpacking trip up further on the Loowit Trail.

We were there on a summer weekend but only saw a handful of other people. However there was a considerable amount of trash on this trail; I picked up 3 aluminum cans, a gatorade bottle, plastic food packaging from where someone had camped at the lake, and a lot of micro-trash. There were cigarette butts, dog poop bags, and used TP as well that I did not pick up...

This trail treated us to a calm lake and a waterfall after a short 1.5 mile hike that was moderate.

If you are eager for more try the Bivouac trail not far down the road, you can hike just to the edge of the tree line where a permit will be required to go further, but still over a 3 mile hike with rewarding views.

A very mellow hike to take the kids and dogs on. The lake and waterfall are beautiful. Went midweek and had the place to ourselves. We will come here again

There is a bridge out about 1.5 miles in and you're probably not supposed to cross, but I was able to easily. The view of St. Helens is a little under 2 miles in. It isn't really worth going past that unless you plan to do the whole Tarbell Trail and possibly go to Hidden Falls. The top of Larch Mtn is just some service towers. The section to Hidden Falls is closed right now according to signs at the trailhead.

A beautiful, quiet snowshoe with the dog. Saw not a soul on the pine marten or June lake trail that morning. Still about 3 feet of snow at the lake, had to break my own trail from about .25 miles out. I was surprised there was not more foot traffic, but glad for it. Roads plowed / all asphalt getting to marble mountain.

Quick and easy but a great payoff. We did it in the rain and snow- the beautiful colors of the fall leaves with the crisp white snow made it a truly magical experience.

We got to the trail head just before 9am and the parking lot was fairly empty. The trail was in great shape as it followed along a nice creek. Before we new it, we made it to June lake. The lake is gorgeous with a perfect waterfall flowing into the far side. Very picturesque! Check out just how beautiful this area is by watching the video below!

This was a beautiful hike. You have views of the mountain from different points along the trail and the lava flow stopped near the lake so you can explore that as well. There are a couple of waterfalls flowing into the lake and it's a gorgeous spot to have a picnic. We took our dog along and she had fun as well.

No snow or ice on the trail as of today. A nice, short hike to a small lake with a waterfall.
