it's ok needs to be cleaned up,ya know trash humans leave trashy areas. Maybe this app could organize clean ups of the trails. Well marked good parking..watch for ticks doggy picked up a beauty.

Hiking

Awesome hike very hard in spots with a dog- had to pick her up over ledges and large rock formations 5-6 times. Took a very long time due to the technical footing needed. Very well marked and peaceful- no one was there. Walked a mile up the closed road to start the hike then took the trail along the lake back. Being lots of water and a hiking pole can be helpful.

Took my shepherd here for a walk it was perfect weather and trail conditions were perfect. Saw some other people but wasn’t crowded. Plenty of singing birds

HikingGreat!

Beautiful wide trails through hilly pine bush, tall scrub oaks surrounding. We actually did the red and blue trails. Next time will try yellow! Good for hiking or biking.

Cute little trail. Lots of elevation changes and overlooks to the stream below. We saw some children wading in the stream

Walking

This is a great trail for “mud season” here in Upstate NY. We did the white trail and some of the red trail. Most of it was paved and not muddy. The downside? It is an urban walk with lots of highway noise and graffiti.

Nice variety of trails from wooded to paved. Excellent wildlife viewing options especially along the blue trail. Great walk along the old Erie Canal along the tow path trail. Can get muddy in spots.

Nature tripsGreat!Rocky

Amazing hike for the early spring. The trails were very well marked although there were many different routes to take. Very straightforward hike but so much variety in terms of terrain and the sights along the way. At the middle of the hike all trails seemed to converge together at 3 waterfalls which was a wonderful sight to see. There’s many landmarks on your way up to artists rock so if you plan to come here please give yourself enough time to enjoy all of them! On the flip side this was by far the busiest hiking trail I’ve visited, but I think that just shows the popularity of the location. I was also able to collect a few samples of quartz + rose quartz as the trails deep in the woods were littered with it! I might not have traveled as much as other people but this was by far the best hike I’ve taken so far! 10/10 would recommend

Bird watchingMuddy

It was a little muddy in spots, especially the yellow loop, but all the ice is gone and conditions were great. Lots of families out there and almost all the dogs were friendly and leashed. Very beautiful and peaceful location. Look forward to going again.
