Super gorgeous but extremely popular. It's a quick walk from the parking lot with stairs the whole way. Still, it was gorgeous to see and I got some great pictures of the kids!

The main falls were good but the REAL treat came with the small groups of falls that we found when we followed the river up. What a great day!!

My 8 year old son and I LOVED this hike!

Short hike of a trail along the edge of the falls.

Quick great hike. The road to this trail it’s close in the winter, you just have to walk extra 0.4 miles to get to the trail head. Beautiful views of the lake and ocean sites of the mountains

What a beautiful trail! Hiked it Columbus Day 2018. The weather was PERFECT! Could not have asked for a more perfect day. The foliage was in FULL bloom! Trail is moderate to difficult with a lot of ledge at the top. New trails since the last time I was there and a lot of history as well! 360 views at the top! Simply amazing!

Great hike, went with my husband and one year old son (he was in a backpack carrier). Great views, wasn’t too long, and quiet.

beautiful short hike with amazing fall at the end!

Make sure you do the whole loop, not just the shortest (steepest) climb to the tower or you'll miss the amazing views on the .7 section.

Steep in the beginning but not too difficult. An amazing place to watch the sunset without the crowds of Cadillac Mountain! Loved getting to climb up a ways on the fire tower too.

Worth the trip! Many water crossings that take thought and would be troublesome/impossible in spring, some tricky parts with large rocks. Gorgeous waterfall!

Easy hike, great views

Easy walk to the falls. A few steps that are a little steep. Very rewarding!!

Amazing hike with amazing views at the top. The trail does get tough in a couple spots, with a lot of verticals and even some near-rock climbing towards the summit. We did from the parking lot to the summit and back in about 2 hours, but we also didn’t spend a lot of time at the summit. I would highly recommend, the views at the top are absolutely incredible!

Beautiful trail! Great vistas to the east and west!

Short but quaint. Did this with my grandson and we both enjoyed it. Perhaps it greatest feature is the ability to teach some history from the top as it is indeed a very historical site and monument.

Great for a quick outing, the ladders only add to the fun!

Best spot to over look Long Pond Lake. Beautiful!

Possibly my favorite hike in Maine. Just as beautiful in the Winter, snowshoeing up to the peak as it is in the Summer <3.

Great views! Went up the steeper way (left at the fork).

This was a nice easy walk in the woods. My son had a wonderful time looking for rocks in the mineral site. We did however turn this into an over 8mile hike by continuing to the forest road and coming back that way. By going this way we played in a waterfall. Group was 2 adults, 11year old son and 30lb dog. Will be back.

Nice, easy trail to a waterfall. Accessed the trail at the Wildcat Gondola lift.

Hadn’t planned on hiking this, but since it led back to where I parked ... was definitely better than walking on the Loop Road shoulder.

Interesting walk because of the possibility of a cool souvenir a crystal or quartz but poorly marked trail. Weather started getting bad didn’t want to take chance of getting lost in the woods during storm so turned around.

Great hike doesn’t take to long and a nice climb with kids. The views are great.
