Gorgeous walk in the winter with snow.

Nice easy trail. Well kept area. You must pay for parking.

This is a nice walk to do with young children. On very hot days, there isn't a lot of shade and the benches are in the direct sun on the view point making them to hot to sit on if you are relying on a break. The view is amazing and worth the short walk.

It's a very short, but beautiful walk. My toddler was able to walk the full thing and back so it is a great place to bring children. I think it is important to note that it can be pretty buggy in the warmer months; however, there is a lot of shade so its a great walk on those really hot summer days.

1/2/19, 23 degrees, blue skies & no snow. I started the first two miles of my hike with a friendly man and his two dogs. Hiked the purple trail and proceeded along the canal. Hit all of the highlights along the way. Covered 8.3 miles and enjoyed every minute of it.

Easy trail, with multiple view of the waterfall. Park includes hiking trail away from the falls. Less trafficked. Beautiful scenery.

This place is incredible in terms of visual aesthetic. It is so beautiful. The Falls itself had me in awe of the power it generated. My dog had the best time exploring all of the new scents and sights. I'd just suggest being careful on the steps, as they get slippery.

I am newly relocated to this area. I have loved to find great places for a walk through nature and this was certainly the first jewel. This place provides you with a sense of inspiration and just allows your mind to run free. I can't wait to visit again!

Short, easy and beautiful walk to the falls.

This is a gorgeous trail, but a few caveats: First, it is not suitable for small children. Secondly, on the Cliff Trail, there is a lot of skipping from rock to rock, which will be difficult and may be dangerous for people who lack agility or balance. Thirdly, if you go up the steps from the Lake Trail to the Cliff Trail on the southwest side of the lake, you will probably huff and puff seriously. On the other hand, if you are in fairly good shape, (not necessarily athletic), all of these challenges could be fun.

The views of the lake from the top of the cliff and from its shore were stunning in mid-October (foliage color season). The best view is from the picnic shelter near the parking, so don’t miss that.

We saw hand-written signs in several places along the lake shore saying “do not enter; quicksand”. Although these signs looked unofficial and amateurish, I chose not to test their claim. The wet mud did look sticky enough to loose a shoe in it at least.

Note: I think the rating of this trail should be raised from easy to moderate.

First time there and enjoyed it very much. We will return next with our kayaks and fishing poles.

Well maintained trail. A little steep in spots if you have a young/older hiker. A quick walk with more than one great view of these impressive falls. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful sites but I found the trail to short of a walk. Easy trail to follow.

Beautiful waterfall. The hike is easy but there are steps. I did this hike years ago with my family when I wasn’t in as good shape and i did it easily. My young children 6/8 at the time did it with no problem. It is a definite must see. Bring your camera, you won’t be disappointed

Beautiful but poorly marked

Relaxing walk thru the park. Gentle grades...very nice “citi-view” from the top of the 0.2 loop. LFG-PGRD

I'm in my late 50's and not in awesome shape anymore...this trail was my first since breaking my ankle last year and a few days after throwing my back out : ( so it was challenging for me, but so worth the effort! Lots of wildflowers and a few birds and chipmunks along the way. The view at the bottom is spectacular!

Short walk. Friendly for kids and pets and even folks on wheelchairs. To actually get under the small waterfall it’s a bit more dangerous for small children to maneuver up the rocks.

There’s way more than the listed 2.4 miles of trails. Thy have a 5k loop and 10k loop. It’s dog friendly, I bring my dog here all the time. You can spend a lot of time in here and kind of choose your own adventure

Walked the lower falls and the blue trail with a 5yr old, 3yr old, and 9 month old in a carrier. Easy and clean trails!

This was a nice easy trail that took less than an hour at a leisurely pace. We are from Portland Oregon area and this was a great falls to see on the east coast! I would recommend it to anyone who would like an easy view point or enjoys a short hike.

definitely wouldn't bring young kids, on the trails. but a great time!

Easy downhill hike with a great view of this massive waterfall. It also has some interesting history.

Worth the visit. Easy hike with a nice view of the falls.

Go on a weekday in the spring when the waterfall is flowing to avoid crowds and get a great view.
