A great paved trail for walking/running, biking, skating, and horseback riding. The trail runs along beautiful rivers, meadows, forests, and passed great little downtowns. The trail is relatively flat on the portion I biked- from Snohomish to north of Lake Stevens. There were also 2 or 3 stops with facilities (restrooms, water fountains). It was a great ride and I plan to be back often.

My favorite of all

Nice hike along the river. Lots of berries & different features. Moderate traffick. Difficult to find at some points. Over all, a nice hike.

good for spotting wildflower's

The trail in many areas needs repair attention. The bright orange markings provide a good warning to bike riders. Beware of cinders and rough gravel at some road crossings. We will definitely ride this trail again.

Great hike when you're itching to go out, but don't have time to leave the city. Head on up see the famous view of Portland from Council Crest.

This is an exceptional option for urban hiking with some nature mixed in. Perfect for the rainy season, when the abundance of gravely and paved surfaces is much appreciated! You can easily extend this to a much longer hike by following the riverfront path to Sellwood or the South Waterfront.
The only downside (knocking this down to 4 stars) is the persistent smell of sewage on the area that parallels I-5.

love it! had a great time in the hot tub. we were very lucky that we didnt have to wait.

So the directions take you to Riverside Camp ground which is fine and we started there, but there is a sign just before it’s a small wood sign on a tree and there is a parking lot so if your directions say 1 mile left start looking for the sign. Was a great hike for newbies definitely going back and did not see a waterfall

A little on the easier side, but still really pleasant. By noon it was heavily trafficked.

3.5 out of 5 seems like a fair score.

The trail leading down to the river was relatively easy, but very overgrown with blackberries in spots. We had to beat our way through with sticks to avoid getting poked and scratched! There are also a couple of areas in which you'll need to be prepared to climb over a log jam or two. At first glance it looks impossible, but once you start climbing over the logs you can find your footing.

In the end I'd say it was pretty worth it considering that there is a really nice sand bar and swimming hole at the finish line. You just need to be sure to walk far enough North along the river bar in order to get to it.

Enjoy ;-D!

I take it to work from Washington Park. Really great way to bike into the city.

I have jogged and ridden this trail many times. just make sure if you ride it, you stay in the bike lane! Otherwise pedestrians will yell at you!

Great city park. Good for trail running.

Perfection in the city

nice and well marked simple and relaxing break from the city

Absolutely stunning. BUT, I would not rate this as easy. To get to the top of the arch was tricky, the trail is dusty which makes it slippery, there are lots of roots sticking out that can trip you up. The trail is narrow with no protective barrier on the side that leads to quite a drop. There were frequently broken trees over the path that we had to climb over. We are fit so it wasn’t too hard but my parents had to stop before we could reach the end. I wouldn’t recommend this for small children either.
That said the views were stunning.

one way small trails part of the way with a couple cross streets. overall wonderful with good incline!

The worse one.
In man built wood tubs that feel slimy, water is only warm for so long before you need to leave dump&refill.
Some private rooms with a single log tub.
I mean it's not the greatest, crime is popular not only in the parking lot but within the trail&the tubs.
Nudist is also a strong possibility to view a lot of..

Austin (keep driving past bagby) it's all natural &has the rock built walls to locate prime spot.
More secluded.

It was challenging, but not highly strenuous. I started at the Banks trailhead. The ride starts out easy then slowly transitions to a continuous uphill grade till the trail ends in Vernonia. The ride back is a blast. It's all downhill and smooth riding. Twenty miles each way. I highly recommend it if your looking for day ride in the country.

Come here all the time. A beautiful long walk.

went and hiked around this area back in April of 2018. didn't get onto the bridge like I wanted, but still something to see.

I wanted to take my two dogs for a walk... this walk ended up being well over an hour maybe even two. Washington Park is large, great location, a beautiful lake and a lot of activities and action going on.

its s bit confusing but will definitely be going back to explore everything else Around the area.

Was a bit Confusing but we will definitely be going Because there are many things to do around that area. We will be going back tomorrow to explore all the other areas we didn't get to explore today.

Not a destination hike. Nice for a walk during all seasons but this park has radically changed since the 1980-90's. The pedestrian bridge from the Salem Waterfront has dramatically increased the number of homeless and substance using individuals. Evidence of drug use and human elimination was evident. If you go, be safe.
