We made this drive three times, twice in an Arctic Cat Wildcat and once in a Hummer H2. The road is well maintained and was easily completed in these vehicles. We made this journey in July when the weather was hot in Moab (103 degrees Fahrenheit). This was a great way to cool off, although during that same day, it snowed on us in the La Sal Mountains. What a blast this trip was!

This is a great off road trail. We made this trip three times. Once in a Hummer H3 and twice in an Arctic Cat Wildcat. All the vehicles made the journey with ease. Make sure to bring plenty of water (in the summer time especially) as it gets extremely hot and there is nowhere to rehydrate in this area.

We've driven this trail two times and it was great both times. This trail afforded many scenic views and photo opportunities. This is a great journey for returning to Moab from Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park.

This trail is definitely a must to check out one of the many lower canyons in the Moab area. Vertical rock climbing can be done at a small turn-out about midway through. The drive thru the fallen rock on the trail is awesome and not a problem with almost any off road 4x4, plenty of clearance. If you start at Deadhorse, it's downwards to the canyon bottom. From Potash road, it's flat then working upwards. Nice climb. Pretty smooth trail. Worth while...

Fun rock crawling

Just an amazing ride. Road was in pretty good condition and hardly any rocks with drop offs on the road. Scenery galore and drive under the rock is one of a kind. A lot steeper than I thought it would be.

This was our first trail on our visit to Ouray. The trail starts off pretty easy and gets rockier the father you go up. We got to the top portion where the sign states short wheel base, high clearance only past this point. We are driving a lifted Tacoma and a lifted 4 Runner, so we figured we would attempt it. We made it up a couple of the switch backs, but then decided to not push any further as it was raining and sleeting and traction was not great on the rocks. We turned around and headed back down. It was a beautiful trip, even if we didn't make it all the way to the top.

Absolutely beautiful views and such a fun drive up the mountain. Saw some wildlife and experienced spectacular views. Would 100% do it again and maybe go camping.

Best trail that I know of in the area! The trail itself is more challenging than others, which I appreciate, and the views are amazing!

Great views. Can be tricky with loose rock and off camber sections. Worth the time.

Great trail. Scenic and a good trail for your first one.

Went early and avoided tourist traffic. Easy 2wd until the last ¼ and hen aired down and put in 4 hi most of the time. A few spots needed 4 low and we stayed in low most of the way down during the steep part. Great hiking and views at the top. Next time we are there we’ll try some of the basins to the south of the trail. Stock Sahara, 32 AT no lift.

Did this trail in my Jeep from the West side - starting off of 550. Talking to people who came up from Lake City and looking over the map, this route is much steeper but a lot of fun. A couple of off camber shelf stretches that were a little hair raising but not that many people till the top. Great drive, well worth it

Absolutely beautiful! Had a bear sighting near Animas Fork. Drove a lot of it in the rain with no issues.

I used to use this for mountain biking and now that I use a 4wd this mapping works just as good if not better than some of the paid apps.

Amazing trail. Combined with other trails and rode from 8 am to 6 pm. The ride to the summit was spectacular. A large part of the trail is above the tree line with incredible views. Trail was easy to drive was in high range about 1/3 of time and mostly used low to control decent and navigate rocks.

Awesome loop. Drove it in a 2017 Tacoma, with a 2 inch lift, wrangler duratrac tires at 25 psi. Took us a little longer than expected, about 5.5 hours. We did cinnamon pass and then engineer pass. Cinnamon pass was a bit more difficult and required 4x4 and higher clearance. Engineer pass was very easy and not quite as impressive. We then drove down to Ouray from where the trail splits. This was quite difficult but very fun. Wouldn’t recommend doing this in a stock vehicle... at least some nice tires.

We used a rzr 900 on these trails. We thought this trail should have been rated as easy. The trail is fairly wide and smooth.

My husband took the Jeep up, no problem and I hiked to the lake with the dog. Easy hike, gorgeous views

Drove to the trailhead in mostly stock 02 Dodge Dakota QC Shortbed. Took a ding or two to the undercarriage, but I was rushing. No problem if you’re more patient than me.

Used this as part of a loop trip. Gemini Bridges, to 313, then Shafer Trail to Potash and back to Moab. I did take the Bull Canyon run to the bottom of the arches (worth it, you need 4wd for that tail). First part of the main trail is much more interesting, that the second half. After the bridges it becomes a bumpy ride then gravel road to 313.

Did this trail yesterday, June 28, 2018. Wild flowers were in full bloom, absolutely beautiful. Trail goes from easy to moderate the higher up you go. My F150 4x4 had no problems. Highly recommend this trail. Stoped in Ouray at the hot springs for a swim on the way back to Telluride.
