it was very nice. the trails were guided by a path
Didn’t read reviews, just looked at pictures so I was very surprised to see that the trail was closed about .5 mi. from the parking area. Went on a Saturday and it was very busy, I parked on the side of the road and walked in to avoid the parking fee. Took a quick pic and walked back out. The bathroom was clean but no water fountain for such a seemingly heavily trafficked trail.
Views were worth it. Partially closed. $10- have exact change
Beautiful trail, and beautiful views
Beautiful seascapes. Great moderate hike
I loved this hike, in my top favorites. I was able to see harbor seals and sea otters today! I’ll be back for sure! Parking was $10 and park didn’t open until 10. Not too much of an incline other than one small part. Part of the sea lion trail was closed, but only removed about a 0.5 mile from the trail.
Absolutely beautiful views! Easy trail with a few incline areas that might be considered moderate but overall pretty easy.
Amazing hike, beautiful scenery and a lot of animals
It opens at 8am
Great ocean views for the majority of the trail. Wind and sun are factors to consider—bring a hat. The last portion of the trail (maybe last mile or so) is tucked back in the trees. Great way to unwind your hike and escape the sun, wind, and roaring ocean sounds into a secluded quiet trail back to your car.
Perfect frames view for a sunset!
Awesome secluded location, and the purple sand is a must see. Come early, the parking lot fills up and the road coming down is only a single lane. You will find surfers in the early morning as well.
Con gran colina, pero que vale la pena. A big hill, but worth it.
Gorgeous views. Most people wearing masks, so it felt safe. Chulas vistas. Mucha gente llevaba cubrebocas, así que se sintió seguro.
Gorgeous beach & lilies (seasonally). Una playa preciosa con lirios (estacionales).
Small but iconic. Beautiful and worth the visit. BE CAREFUL because parking fills up really fast; a ranger suggested coming before 10:30am on weekends to get a spot. If you want to see the sunset, it’d be best to arrive in the morning and camp out on the beach all day. Otherwise you may not get in. (On weekdays / off-peak times, though, you’ll have no problem finding parking.)
Easy, flat trail that takes you along the river. You can even enjoy walking along the redwood grove camping sites! Feels like another world. Un sendero llano y fácil que te lleva al lado del río. ¡Hasta puedes caminar al lado de los campamentos rodeados de secuoyas rojas! Se siente como otro mundo.
With epic ocean view
