Easy hike but a lovely walk in the woods and great views of the ledges !!! Any time outside is a good time !

Easy short hike, pretty in winter time! Be careful with parking though if you drive a smaller car, our car got stuck as did another group’s !

The falls were lovely and my son had so much fun sliding on the rocks and getting wet. The problem was rhe popularity of the site. It was insane how many people were coming and going!!

Great winter hike with beautiful mountain views of Maine and NH! Easy to follow the trail in snow but looks to be very wet/muddy in the spring.

An easy but very icy trail. Microspikes are highly recommended—we saw several people slipping and falling on the ice. Beautiful falls at the end of the trail.

Unreal. Breathtaking views. Hardest hike I’ve ever been on

Excellent hike featuring expansive valley views west to Cathedral Ledge and north to Mt. Washington. My quick fix when I need some nature time.

Very easy walk. Snow is pretty packed down for the walk. Microspikes not needed today. Beautiful views. Can't wait to visit in the summer.

This is a beautiful, easy walk that benefits from microspikes when icy, as it was the week before Thanksgiving this year. The Baths - a terraced series of falls - are lovely, and one can continue up the Moat Mountain Trail for miles.

Beautiful waterfall. A nice introduction to the White Mountains area.

This trail is ABSOLUTELY pristine. What an amazing place to enjoy nature. ESPECIALLY THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!
Cant wait to check it out in the winter!

PACMULE

Just a nice short walk through the woods around Echo Lake. Nothing special but still enjoyable especially on an awesome crisp New England fall day.

Wow! What an amazing hike! Absolutely beautiful country. Was interesting with the ice and snow, but was so worth it!

I was disappointed because due to logging, this trail is a mess and not marked well at all. It's so easy to get off course and follow the wrong path.

We had a nice little walk up the trail with our pup. The area had gotten a little snow, earlier in the day. We went up the Black Cap trail and down the Black Cap Connector. Views near the top were good.

Pleasant, easy hike to get to and from the falls. The area of the falls was more than we expected. Our 50 lb pup had no troubles.

Easy trail, quick payoff if you only have a little time to spare. We're not experienced hikers, saw ages 2 to 72 walking with no problem. Falls are worth the short walk. Pit toilets at entrance, $5/vehicle fee.

Really nice easy hike with beautiful views in the Fall. Had the place to myself on a drizzly day!

Very family friendly, my 1 1/2 to had a great time! Stunning views of natural pools

Moderately easy trail with amazing views from lookouts along the way to the summit.

Nice secluded loop trail. Was a crowded fall weekend, parked on side of rt 16 because campground was closed. Quick walk through campground to trailhead(right next to camp site #7). Blazes are yellow. Gets pretty steep after about 3/4 mile(probably toughest part of hike). Levels out and actually goes downhill a bit for awhile then back up pretty steady. Opens up on a couple ledges with nice northern views. Whole loop took me about 2.5 hours with not much of a break anywhere but didn’t race through it either.

It’s a perfect family hike: not too long or strenuous, but getting to the top still feels like an accomplishment. There is some rock scrambling required at the top that may feel moderately challenging to some, but it’s very doable. We saw people of all ages and fitness levels on the trail. We went with several kids ranging in age from 2 to 10 and they had a blast. The two year old was carried up in a pack but insisted upon climbing the rocks at the top. There are actually several areas at the top where it was safe for the two year old to roam! It took us about 40 minutes to make it up but that was with kids. Adults could do it much quicker. Trekking poles or a walking stick aren’t necessary but they do help on this particular hike. We went around noon on a holiday weekend and it was crowded; the parking lot was full and cars were lining both sides of Hurricane Mountain Road. However, the crowds dispersed along the trail and didn’t take away from the experience at the top.

Hiked this trail counter clockwise as recommended which was definitely the best way to go. A gradual uphill climb to the summit followed by a shorter (but steep) downhill return. The views at the top weren't 360 but we're absolutely gorgeous, especially as the leaves are starting to change! Although the uphill climb was tough and got my heart pumping, we saw people of all ages on the trail.
