Nice trail. Good views from the summit.

Great short walk to a nice falls

So many fellow hikers, trail runners, and bikers as expected on any trail this close to town. Some bikers need to SLOW DOWN as the only way I knew they were behind me was the sound of the bikes. Not the trails fault. Everyone else was very friendly. Very nice time.

Great trail with beautiful views of Boise and the Treasure Valley. Nice combination of flats and ascents.

This trail was a combination of beautiful of views and good steady incline for a solid work out. I will definitely hike this again!

This is my go to hike

Very easy trail to enjoy in the early morning to watch the sunrise

It is an up hill climb on the way to the mine, something like Table Rock. No shade. Small Creek for Dogs about 1/2 mile up. Skunks are around the Mine and in the building. We did see one Snake on the way back. Beautiful view and about a 5 mile hike round trip.

Fun trail! Took my 1.5 year old in a pack for most of the trail. There are quite a few bikers but everyone I’ve ever met is kind and it’s not a big deal to share the trail. Pretty views of Boise and the foothills!

Great walk with my 8 year old daughter. Stunning views.

Moderate hike, not easy. No shade. Uphill the whole way in, approximately 2000 ft elevation increase going in. Suggest wearing pants and hiking boots due to snakes, mormon crickets, and brush. The WMA has a roadkill pit about a 1/4 of the way in which smells pretty bad. The mine building is really cool if you like historical buildings. Heading back the peaks past Hwy 21 are gorgeous when they peak over the fog.

Table Rock Trail is my go-to for friend & family hiking. I have a 10-year old & a 4-year old. As an adult, the later-part of this trail gets intense (slightly steeper incline). Still fine for the kids but they'll be trekking slower, & you can feel it in your thighs, butt, & lungs! At the top, enjoy an incredible view, a bench to rest on, lots of selfies, & drink fluids!!! Then the trip down is enjoyable & fairly easy, just be careful you take it slow (especially kiddos) or you might slip on the dirt & fall on your butt. Happy Trailing!

It would definitely consider this a moderate trail due to the elevation gain. The mine building is incredible.

Just attempted to hike this trail with my girlfriend. It was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the hills were great to look at with a nice calm breeze rustling all the tall grass creating flowing waves across the hillside.

HOWEVER, we ran across a rattlesnake in the middle of the trail about 1&3/4 miles in. It was a close encounter as it caught my attention last second by hissing at me and rattling its tail violently. The snake was probably only 3-4 feet away and had already coiled up and was ready to strike with it's mouth wide open. I shrieked like a little girl and ran in the opposite direction as fast as I could. My girlfriend handled the situation much better than I did sadly..
This was not the only snake we saw on the trail, as we were heading down we saw two black snakes slithering off the trail on separate occasions.

Not a difficult hike at all and the trail is smooth, sandy at times, and clear of rocks. There were a lot of mormon crickets like others have mentioned. Would recommend wearing pants because of brush and possible snake bites.

This is an easily accessible trail, close to town. The climb can be intense, but the view is worth stopping for from time to time on the way up. Be sure to take plenty of water for the trip, especially in warmer weather.

Great trail to backpack train on. I take my weight vest here to do runs. Lots of traffic on the weekends but great early morning. Beautiful city view at the top for sunset and best sunrise view from the back part of the top.

It was fun! A litter tough in some areas for the kids. I highly recommend going down and checking out the caves. There is some broken glass, but really cool otherwise.

It was a great first hike for us. There was a bit of traffic, but the views were great and the trail was well worn and easy to navigate.

The permissible hours of the Jump Creek Recreation area are STRICTLY enforced. An Owyhee County Sheriff officer said this is because of criminal and/or dangerous incidents that have occurred here in the past: accidental death, officer impersonation, attempted kidnapping, etc. Pretty scary stuff.
The current fine for trespassing off-hours is $156 and I’ve heard the judge rarely dismisses them, regardless of the reason. Several times I’ve seen an Owyhee County Sheriff truck parked above the parking lot waiting to issue tickets to anyone who lingers beyond the closing time.
I posted a pic of the hours sign. Although it is large it can be easy to miss on the drive in if you’re not looking for it.
That being said, the area is lovely during daylight, although it is popular. A lot of families, groups of teens, and young adults frequent here. Most users leave no trace, but you will likely see some litter. It’s a short, easy hike to the falls/swimming hole. Some sections of the trail are sandy and it’s easy to slip .. watch your footing.
The drive to the area is beautiful, particularly in the Spring. The falls are bigger in the Spring as well, however the trail is likely to be wet and therefore slippery so be careful.

Starting at Camel’s back (tennis courts) it is a very nice 6 mile loop! If there was any shade trees this trail would get all five stars!

this was one of my first full trail hikes. slow and steady I did it. I was so proud of myself when I reached the top.

Excellent and easy trial with a beautiful waterfall and small pool at the end. Dog and kid friendly. Great for a hot summer day!

very fun, great view

great conditioning hike. 1hr up and back

I took this hike with the 2yo on my back, 4 kids and two dogs in tow. I would rate the trail as moderate with children and summer heat. It got a little too warm and the kids started to burn out so we turned back before hitting the mine. There were lots of Mormon crickets along the way. Trail is a bit overgrown in the middle at some parts and has medium sized hills.
We will be heading back earlier in the day next time. Despite not reaching the end we still had a great time.

Great hike with great views. A little tough if your out of shape. Loose sand and gravel in spots. Take a water for the walk up and a Gatorade for the walk down.

Nice trail with beautiful views, but way too many bikers on it for comfort. It seemed like every five minutes we had to move to the side to let someone pass.
