We had a great time. most dogs were off leash, and that's ok with us, ours was too unless we spotted people ahead. my wife and I went with our newborn and our 2.5 year old, who made it most of the way before I had to carry her. Well marked and maintained trail with a great view at the top

I would consider this on the more difficult side of moderate only because of the incline. The views from the top make all the effort getting there worth it.
There were tree trunks and quite a few rocks on the trail but other than that doable. I saw many dogs and young kids so anyone can do this hike.

Easy-mod hike. Great peaceful neighborhood trail.

Very peaceful hike. You can hear the creek the entire time. Very spiritual for a full moon/lunar eclipse day.
With the recent rains, it was pretty muddy, but fine if you have waterproof hiking boots. At the end I was able to rinse the bottoms of my boots in the creek. Bring a towel for your dogs feet or you may have muddy paw prints in your car. Enjoyed every minute.

I’d say this is more easy than moderate and that’s coming from someone totally out of shape. The elevation gain is pretty much all in one spot of the hike. For the most part the trail is dry but there are a couple spots that are pretty muddy. There are quite a few different starting points to choose from as well.

Nice, easy hike, just a couple of short climbs. One really muddy patch about .75 miles in but otherwise a beautifully maintained trail. Peaceful other than an area where new construction is right on top of the trail. The falls were underwhelming but they’re probably more impressive when it’s wetter. Saw a couple of golden-crowned kinglets, a wren, and some towhees as well as the ubiquitous sparrows and juncoes.

Love this trail. Takes us an hour 45 to go up and down, we run most of the way down. There are logs down over the trail currently just FYI!

Lots of downed trees but very hikeable and busy Sunday morning. Clouds in the valley looked great!

Went around 1030am on a Friday and there wasn’t much of a crowd. The trail is well maintained and you can feel the slight incline going up but it’s not overly challenging. Beautiful views at the top and a good spot to take a break with a snack before heading down. Took a little under two and half hours in total.

One of my all time favorite trails. The view is beautiful and I went on a clear day so you could see for miles and miles. We brought lunch to eat once we got up to the top as well.

Loved this hike, would suggest to start really early to avoid the crowds on your way up.

I would recommend this trail for anyone looking for an easy hike/walk. Good for dogs and kids. It was quite muddy and there were 3 creek crossings of increasing difficulty. Nothing that takes a daredevil but your feet may get wet. The weather was great and the falls were beautiful!

Went with my best friend Monday afternoon around 3, took our time and ended up hiking back to car in the dark. Well worth it, just make sure you have flashlights or prepare unlike us and go earlier. I cant wait to go back when it’s warmer and go swimming.

easily completed within a few hours, great for the whole family.

This was my 2nd time coming here. I love it. I hated outmaneuver underneath the fallen logs from the storm not to long ago. If you have bad knees yes this will be awkwardly painful. Other than that at the ledge it was super windy and cold. Took my group of ladies about 3 hours to finish. The sunset was pretty <3

This is a great hike. There are a couple of loops you can pick from, depending on your preference of moderate or an easy hike. There is a steady flow of water beside the trail which makes it so peaceful.

It was a nice hike except for the motorcycles. The views were amazing.

Went at 1:15pm. Very crowded in parts of the trail but was able to run some on the way up and down. Beautiful views! Worth every bit of traffic!

Not too strenuous and no views going up. Views at the three ledges aren’t as good as surrounding national parks.

No snow or ice on the path at all. It was a little crowded even though we went up around 9am but the view up there was amazing. When we went down around 1pm the parking lot was packed so I would recommend to go there early.

An amazing hike. Easy parking access. Great views and multiple trails to explore!

Plenty of parking, pretty muddy. But pretty

Love it beautiful jungleland looking hike

Great day hike! Nice and peaceful, except for the construction by the ymca but that should be done soon. Really pet friendly and almost no one on the trail! Bring water and be prepared to pack out what ever you pack in, no trailhead restrooms and one can at each side.

Good trail, very pet friendly. Great views of the surrounding area.

This is my 2nd hike to Rattlesnake Ledge. Beautiful well maintained trail, no ice or sleet. Fairly easy hike to the top for moderate to experienced hikers. I went at 8:30, wasn’t as crowded. The view was amazing! Very windy at the top, but I took a break to eat and the scenery was just wow! Additionally, bathrooms are well maintained and stocked. Unlike many other places that I have hiked to. I will definitely go back again.

Great rewards for such a short hike! Only 2 miles to the top, but still a workout. No snow or ice. Trail is in good shape and bathrooms at the trailhead we're clean and stocked! (Always a plus)

Hiked today (Jan-5, Sat), arrived around 11am, there is not much parking but was plenty of space today, not a high season. Trail is easy and in a pretty good condition, muddy sometimes, but nothing bad. Main challenge was the Hannan Creek crossing near the falls. There is a fork and loop on the second part of the trail, you can go left or right, both trails go to the falls. I took the left trail and that was a mistake, creek crossing on the left side was worse than on the right, it was not easy to cross without getting wet. There are some logs and rocks but pretty slippery and you have to jump. I wish I had my poles with me just for this crossing, left mine in the car for this easy hike.

My suggestion - take the right trail, there is a crashed car right after the fork, so you will know what place I am talking about. Creek crossing is smaller on this side and there is a big tree over it, which you can use for easy crossing. Then after the falls you can try the other side of the trail to go back, if you can’t make the crossing there, it’s not far at all to return and go back the same way. And, as I mentioned, poles will be helpful for creek crossing. Unless you are fine with wading through the creek and get wet.
