nice day hike.

Nice loop around the majestic Red Rocks! Definitely worth it if you're visiting the area and want to experience its quick desert-like trail. Wish you could see the amphitheater from there though; and be prepared for little to no shade! It was 90+ with not a single cloud in the sky when we went :p

Good hike and the views at top are well worth the effort. our first in RMNP and looking forward already to a few more this week.

Great trail with many great views of cascading waterfalls down a small mountain stream with a spectacular finish at Ouzell Falls. Copeland Falls was also better than expected. Ouzel Falls offers as good of a view as there is in RMNP in my opinion. We took the extra time to hike to the top of Ouzel Falls and it was well worth it. Great views of the aspens changing colors and sounds of running water as the trail follows a mountain stream throughout the hike. Also came across a full grown moose on the return trek. The trail took us just under 3 hrs including a 30+ minute detour to the top of Ouzel Falls. Highly recommended and easy enough for the entire family to enjoy.

We loved this trail! Although the bottom sections are pretty easy, the views are good, and just get better as you rise. It has a nice variety along the trail, and the top is just breathtaking.

Fun hike! between mile markers 18 & 19 off squaw pass road. Beautiful views at top!

Arrived 7:15am on a Monday in September. Only 3-4 other cars in the lot and saw no one else on the trail until we hit Isabelle. Water level is low (drained)but it was still a worthwhile hike and there’s still a decent amount of water left. A lot more foot traffic heading up to the lake when we were heading out. Back at the parking lot at 10:30am and lot was full with cars circling to find a spot. Easy hike-the elevation gain comes right before the lake.

Beautiful views for a not-so-difficult hike! It gets a little steep so I'd say be careful bringing visitors here if they're not acclimated to the altitude. Pair this with Squaw Mountain for about 7 miles.

very unique trail after you get about halfway up! would definitely go on this trail again

This is my go-to hike for all my out of town visitors. Typically it is very crowded, but most people are courteous and friendly. Get an early start to get parking and be sure to bring water for the pup. Great views and a fun experience climbing the 143 stairs to the fire lookout tower and of course meeting Billy Ellis who has been stationed at the tower for over 33 summers!

Easy Hike, park on the side of the road. Hike has many exposed area and some shady areas. wear sunscreen. Summit is amazing. No bathrooms anywhere on this trail, plenty of nature

Scenic hike with a lot of fall colors. We did see a Moose on the trail (that startled us). We kept our distance and warned hikers after we were able to continue.

Incredible views at the lake! We logged 7.75 miles round trip with a short walk by the lake and parking close to the trail head.

Loved this hike! Amazing views!
Only issue was our gps took us down a county road that was full of rocks and we had off road for 5 miles. We took another way out and it was fine. If your gps tries to take you down a county road and it looks rough don’t go down it, it only gets worse unless you have a Jeep or 4 wheel drive. We were coming from Colorado Springs.

Great hike - semi quiet going up around 8:30am - lots of good flat parts with few rocky areas. Good forest, mountain and lake views. Parking near trailhead was full so parked at the Brainard Lake lot (past the pay area) so overall mileage out and back was closer to 7.3-7.5 miles.

Do this trail!!! Such beautiful views for not much effort. The scrambling at the end is really fun!

Enjoyed the views at Panorama Point. Also, there were some golden aspens which is why we went. Beautiful location and a good loop.
Some inclines may slow down the pace but overall a manageable hike (even for a four year old) in its entirety.
I recommend going clockwise so that you have dirt instead of big gravel when going downhill.

Great payoff for the miles and gain, would do again!

Lovely alpine foliage on the trail as well as the drive up. Would recommend as a summit option for anyone not used to the altitude like myself. I paused to catch my breath several times but managed to make my way up in 50 minutes with the steady, moderate incline (656ft/mile). Pretty crowded on a Friday late morning but most trails in Colorado seem to be that way. Enjoyed the scramble at the top, very windy! Stellar 360 views.

Beautiful and easy trail with lots of golden aspens and pine trees. Panoramic Point has two lovely photo opportunities and a great view! Perfect for a quick hike when you don’t want to drive super far from Denver. Not much elevation gain and the trail is well marked. We did a late Saturday afternoon hike and found parking easily. Trail not overly crowded. We brought our Great Dane and it was a perfect amount of walking and tree cover for him.

Nice! Uphill 1st half then down way back. Plenty of shade along the way but no water for the doggo so bring some for them too! Great views from the lookout tower.

Fantastic hike with gorgeous pay off. beautiful the whole way.

Decent hike, nice views but not much of a creek during the summer. Fairly good inclines, brought a toddler and had to carry her a good amount.

Leaves are turning! Lots of families on the trail. Started at panorama point and went counter clockwise, best views at the start and finish.

Did this hike with my 9 year old dog on a Friday. I was surprised there wasn't a lot of traffic on the trail. The leaves are changing so it's a beautiful time of year to go. A couple uphills but a fairly easy hike. The trail is well marked with lots of areas where you have to decide where to turn.

Great views. Moderately difficult hike.

Did this trail on September 7 at a moderate pace with a group of hikers. There are great views of the surrounding mountains at various lookouts along the way. The upper reaches featured beautiful Aspen turning gold for Fall. The top of the mountain provides a great view of Estes Park as well as several mountains. Not too crowded this time of year. Definitely one to repeat in the early Fall.

Beautiful trail, would recommend in the spring. After Mills lake the trail to Black Lake can be a little challenging with some steep areas. But totally worth it. The waterfall right before Black lake is beautiful.

Beautiful drive from Lyons.
$25 NP entrance fee. Consider buying annual np pass if you will use any other np.

The river is gorgeous the entire way up.
Take the Copeland falls upper and lower loop as it’s inviting and parallels the main trail so adds no distance to route.
Total elevation gain is measured at 870 feet From 8500 at trailhead to 9300 at falls but printed map said 270 feet gain. Typo? In any case was a pleasurable ascent.
Took us exactly 3 hours total at leisurely pace.
Trail crosses the Cascades waterfalls and then Ouzel falls. To see the falls up close, take the unofficial trail to the left , just before the bridge where the sign says “ouzel falls”. It’s just a few hundred feet of exploring to see the falls from Best viewpoint.
Must get there early. By noon we had to wait 20 minutes for a spot to free up.

Take a picnic lunch, Tevas and a bathing suit and take the day to savor the swimming holes. But be smart where you swim so you don’t get swept away!
