Beautiful hike. Enjoyed the view at White Rocks more than Sugarloaf!

Great trail for a beginner like me. So many shortcut trails within the main loop you can cut your trip short if you find yourself unprepared.

Many sections of trail turn to flowing water or ankle high puddles after a rain/snow melt, so be prepared.

Overall a great trail I recommend.

Great hike with very few people around. It's an odd little loop in that part of it is paved and you're within eyesight of the parking lot for a large chunk of the hike. Also very muddy for portions of it (Nov. 2018). But I give it high marks for a very isolated forest stroll with access to water. Great hike, pup loved running around!

It was quite a nice day out and there were many people on the trails. With the Grist Mill trail still being Closed I have mainly been HIKING the Howard County side of the park. The only problem for me is that there is only a few entry points on this side. I either go up and start by the Swinging Bridge or I start at the New Ridge trail extension. The old Ridge ( Waterbars ) trail-head is in ruff condition and is very hard to read with all the leaves on the trail. It's always wet and very rocky. The Valley View trail is super nice this time of year because you can now see the Valley as you go up. The Ridge trail is straight over the top but the Valley View raps around the outer edge of the hills.

I loved it. I missed the trail but if I'd liked for the blazes I would have seen it. We picked it up behind the picnic area parking lot. Some of the boardwalks are missing so be ready for mud. But definitely worth it.

Lovely variety but note that the entrance is closed and you have to use a different one. Also, the recorded trail in AllTrails is inaccurate. There are big signs saying, “Not a Trail.”

Trails not clearly marked, but plenty of them. A great hike finding them way.

Overcast-ed skies and the breeze make a hike in the meadows prefect. - Although I bike too, I am glad no bikes are allowed in this all natural area. - You have a mixed environment of Woods, Meadows and a Stream. - Do to a lack of shade in many sections, I never come here in the summer. I love all the different butterflies along the meadow trails of green grass. I always park on the lot at Trotter Rd. but space is limited.

Hike will test a bit. Limited views of the valley below. Definitely recommend avoiding the weekend crowds.

Decided to walk Quiet Waters Park trail today, Columbus Day 2018. I'm extremely happy I did this trail. It has long stretches of shaded trail, and breathtaking views of the South River and Chesapeake Bay. I can't wait to bring the family back, so we can experience the trail together.

This was a perfect hike very close to Washington DC. A privately owned mountain is very well kept. As you arrive turn up the one way road and head to the the west view parking lot which is ample. There you will find the trail head going west at the circle to the east up the hill to the left. We chose the start going west and found the hike well marked and very rocky. The almost 6 mile hike with a stop at white rock overlook took us less than 3 hours but at times with some changes in elevations but nothing difficult. Great hike!

I rode this trail on Saturday 9/15. There are some leaves down already and they were wet. In fact, it was quite muddy out there but I enjoyed it. One fallen tree blocking the trail around mile 4 (clockwise). Overall conditions good but muddy.

Nice and easy trail. clockwise is much more challenging. W more climbs. Watch out for self centered arrogant hikers who think standing in the middle of the trail is ok

Great trail the only drawback is sharing the trail with mountain bike riders. Nearly twisted my knee trying to get out if the way of a mountain biker. Had to step off the trail quite a few times that day for riders. Other than that great hike. Bring water you will need it.

Good clean fun

Went here for my first hike. My dog and I had a great time. Very beautiful, easy to navigate, fun terrain with slight challenges. No complaints. Some people might complain about spider webs and mosquitoes, but thats part of hiking, right? Highly recommend.

Nice empty trails.

Very nicely kept, not too crowded, and wide path for multiple people.

This is a great trail with many different routes to choose from. I didn’t see anyone else on the dirt trails. There horse and mountain bike tracks, but didn’t come across any. There were some walkers and bikers on the asphalt road, but not many. I completed 12 trail miles all told. Nice and shady, but bring the bug spray and be prepared for spider webs (or just run after your buddy). I like these trails better than Rosaryville State Park. Will most definitely come back.

Great for newbies! it is flat and paved trails. We did the entire loop and it was well shaded in summer. I will not call this hiking, but a nice walk at the park!

The wildlife trail is closed off due to construction but the south wind trail is available. Very pretty, took the dogs and they loved it. Beautiful stream half way through as well

This was a great and well marked trail! Almost all shaded single track so you do have to stay aware for mountain bikers and horseback riders. I went out on a rather warm Sunday around noon and only came across one other runner and two mountain bikers. My GPS tracked just under 500ft of both elevation loss and gain and I ran/hiked the loop clockwise in two hours. Will definitely be going back.

Hard to follow, overgrown, and not an enjoyable run.

Beautiful water element with great forest canopy on almost the entire run.
Very nice!

I go there everyday. I enjoy a few tokes under the sun!!

Trail was beautiful. Early part was more secluded. recommend pants if you don’t like grass brushing you. We wore shorts and were fine though. When we went (summer) some of the old pond trail was not completely cleared.

The lake is beautiful and as a result can get crowded.

Great trail! Must look out for mountain bikers tho - they come up quick! Really great trail - easily marked.

I really like this hike. Nice variety of trails and mostly pretty flat - nothing too strenuous. It can be a bit muddy, especially at the beginning, but not enough to prevent me from doing it. No spectacular overlooks or anything, but some great views of farmland and streams.

Today I did the whole loop (over 10 miles) and saw more deer than people! Only saw two people the whole way and they were workers towards the beginning. I guess that's the advantage of doing it on a Friday :)
