Totally loved these trails. My husband and I did these trails along with trail 2 which took us about 6 hrs to enjoy. Parts of these trail were a little rough. I didn't bring mine this hike, but a pair of trekking sticks or a staff would have been helpful. Areas of the trails got close to bluffs and would have just made me feel a little more secure on the trail.

Good hike. Great little place and well marked. Just make sure you take at the loop!

Great hike, even without the waterfall running and the creek beds being pretty dry. Definitely take the optional loop when you get too it. The shallow cave at the top is awesome.

Okay trail. Inside the woods was nice and open. The trail was pretty overgrown in certain spots and there wasn’t much to see.

Been coming here for years. love it

Same trail today, but added Rose Island. Awesome step into the past. Definitely worth extra to see.

Isn't nature incredible? A beautiful, easy walk with Kentucky views for miles. The arch itself makes one feel tiny and appreciative of its sturdiness!

This was a nice 3+mile hike with the Rose Island loop added in. The nice park ranger at the gate warned us to take the paved trail (to the right when you start) down the hill. The last section as you finish up is a slow uphill climb. Much easier than the steep paved path. The trail does get a little narrow in spots once you turn off at the bridge to Rose Island. All in all a nice hike with plenty of good scenery for taking pictures.

Went with family and dog. Loved it just make sure to have good shoes with traction.

I'm an avid hiker/explorer and this place is a blast! Make sure you have atleast a full day to enjoy this magical place!

The trail is rated as difficult, but I thought it was easy. It wasn't difficult what so ever.

We saw mushrooms, wild berries, toads, caterpillars.

Good hike with nice shade and a few views of the Ohio river. Nice breeze and shade for a midday hike! Variety of terrain is nice.

Nice happy hike! Crossed bridge and added Rose Island in middle for fun!

This park is very well maintained and the trails are well marked! We couldn’t record our hike because my phone battery is not stellar, but we hiked 7.6 miles with a combination of 8, 1, 5, 4, & 7. It was a super hot day and we were pleased to find that the Nature Center on the south end of the park is air conditioned with a lovely bird viewing room. We saw all of the falls but I think Tunnel Falls was the best! I liked Little Clifty Falls as well. When the map says the trail is rugged, they’re not kidding. The ruggedness is a great challenge, but be prepared to climb up and down on rock and roots quite a bit. Also, people who are afraid of heights should maybe stay on trail 2, because there are many drop-offs next to the trails up on the ridge. Overall we had a challenging, but rewarding, day in the outdoors!

Beautiful. Very soothing once you reach the falls.

Loved trail 5. Tunnel Falls was my favorite waterfalls of the day, Caution on the rocks leading up to the tunnel as they are slick. The tunnel is closed to foot traffic from fall to spring. Trail 5 goes around the tunnel also. South end of trail has a 153 step staircase that will give you a great quad workout. There is also a leg of the trail to take you to the creek.

Love the creek trail all the way up to the falls!

Very well marked! But at the end it can be hard to scale the last boulder! But once you get over it, it is amazing

Good trail with one large decline and then you go back up an equally large incline. Though my only complaint of the tail is that there were three large trees down in pieces so you kind of have climb and squeeze through some parts. Be careful of spiders, recent flood brought them out too.

Great, short hike! Very cool to be able to stand on top of the arch and then see it from below. Loop trail with stairs. Fine for little ones if you hold their hand.

Gorgeous views. We actually hiked at Hemlock on a rainy day, and it was a lot of fun.

Great short hike to a awesome waterfall. Make sure its been raining a bit prior to going fall was little slower than usual but still a beautiful place. Kids loved it as wasn't long at all.

Great warm up trail with some beautiful picture locations!

It was alright, the trail maps (from the park) and trail signs poorly judge the distance to and from different points. Also at several times the trails were quite overgrown with poison ivy. However, the arch itself was beautiful along with the sights through the arch. I would highly suggest taking the final trail to walk across the arch for the higher view of the valley and other ridges!

Down a paved road to Rose Island was very easy. Rose Island was very cool and interesting. Took trail 3 back up to the parking lot and it was ok. Not a lot to look at, you’ll catch a view of the river at the start. The trail is a little overgrown in some areas and the spider webs are insane!! Take a walking stick and knock them down, even with one you’ll still have a face and leg full of the ones you don’t see! (I’m not even kidding when I say insane, we would’ve ran into three huge webs on the trail without the stick). I agree with the other reviewers on taking lots of water!

Beautiful views along the way. Waterfall was a lighter flow than what I was expecting. But still very peaceful, not a crowded trail.

My wife and I visited this trail at her suggestion, and I’m thankful for that. Wx was toasty but breeze from river coupled with canopy made for a pleasant walk. We saw many six-spotted emerald beetles (amazingly colorful, fluorescent scarabs), several types of butterflies drinking from the numerous blooming wildflowers, and a Doe with her very young fawn. We missed the first left turn (and you will too if they don’t put up a sign) to start the loop- our plan was to counter-clock the path to the bottom and hit rose island from there. Instead, at the bottom we bypassed rose island and clocked the trail all the way back around to rose island again. The paved path back up from rose island is no joke! 2L of water and two granola bars was barely enough for the two of us in the 90f wx, but again we practically made this trail into a four-miler considering we did it 1.5 times and rose island. Can’t wait to do it in October with the kids.

Easy, but a very nice hike and trail!

Super hard to find and google maps doesn’t do a good job of getting you there, but that’s just part of getting there. Once you find it, it’s a super cool trail with a lot to explore.

Easy trail, I recommend the years pass for 50..... you can explore the trails often and visit other Indiana parks.
