Great boardwalk to walk , parking is tough in the summer months

Great trail!

Decent trails, well maintained bridges/signs. Deer present, as well as hunters not far off the trail.

Very well blazed. Somewhat confusing as the red trail does not form a loop. It stops at a junction with the yellow trail. Up and down hills with many roots. The Manalapan Brook is a pleasent feature.

this is an excellent mountain bike trail !

It’s a joke this trail is rated moderate. The red and white trails are essentially wheel chair accessible. All the trails are muddy and ripped to shreds by mountain bikers (probably a really great place to bike to be honest). Lots of switchbacks and not a lot of elevation gained. However there are nice views and the blue trail in particular is a pretty nice hike.

Very peaceful

It’s a nice hike but pretty crowded and not much to see. The lake is a lot smaller then the map shows. Like I said a good hike but just not really worth the drive for nothing special.

Flat easy trail. It is nice (trail by the river beats biking next to cars) but it gets boring after a while. I took it from New Brunswick to Princeton. Easy to find. No drinking water on the way (the only 2 bathrooms we found had hot -really hot- water or none at all), so take plenty or you will have to get out of the route to find somewhere to buy (which for us was a good excuse to have an ice cream as well)

Great walk and beautiful scenery- would do it again but with more water bottles.

I did the blue loop. For runners: Beautiful and well-marked trail. Lots of roots and a significant- though not impassable- amount of mud, so watch your step and be prepared to get a little muddy. For everyone else: Super lush woods, great views, and lots of wildlife to check out.

The views are absolutely breath taking. Great place to fully enjoy nature and do some self reflection.

Trail was well marked and had some good hill climbs and decents. trail was clear of overgrowth and fallen trees, easy to navigate, especially with the AllTrails map. the peak was a little lame, no view that I saw, and I didn't see the ruins. decent veiw at the top of the power line section. bugs were horrendous, spider webs, gnats, mosquito, and biting flies, but it was mid July and recently rained so it's just that season. the water fall was pretty cool, would have liked to hang out at the water fall a bit longer but had to keep moving because of the bugs swarming my head

Awesome experience On this trail. But unfortunately I have a Flat tire Twice.

Great trail running! The course is a bit windy and has roots/uneven surfaces in some areas so keeping your eyes on the ground is key. Beautiful scenery with a gorgeous steam. Quite a few mountain bikers so be prepared to jump into the brush as the trail is one person wide in most places.

my kids and i love this trail

Trails are maintained well for mostly smooth sailing. A few of the small offshoot loops have a lot of bare roots jutting out so it makes for dicey running. Just use those patches for a heart rate recovery

A pleasant walk through the woods in Cheesequake state park. Most of the trail is well marked and in good shape. There are a few sections that go through low-lying wet/muddy areas that are not well cared for, e.g., logs on the wet ground in lieu of boards. Some scenic views of the surrounding marshlands but not spectacular.

Nice hike, well maintained trails. The loop is 3.5 miles, not 3. Also, since it's a weekend between Memorial Day and Labor Day, there was a $10 entrance fee. Overall it was enjoyable! Not really any spectacular views along the trail but it was still pretty.

Flat trail, most parts are wide enough for 2-3 people side by side. Can be very muddy especially on the west of Newman’ Lane.

Starting to hike again and this trail was great to kind of get my feet wet again. It is very well maintained and easy to navigate. I would like to go after rainfall so see the actual waterways filled and running. Would definitely go again.

There may or may not be cliff diving here and it may or may not be amazing. I want to be clear that I am NOT saying you should jump off any cliffs but you totally should...

Fun hike , a little bit of everything

Perfect for taking a stroll and listening to the waves.

quick and easy away to ger out in nature in the suburbs.. well maintained, lush, and pretty lake

Fun! Take the map!

Well-signed trail system in Cheesequake. Well-maintained trail. Not really much views, but a nice walk in the trees. Mosquitoes weren't bad until it hit 9:30am. Then it was like a switch was flipped.

Beautiful and fun.

Very nice trail for walkers, runners and bikers... I would say for most of activities that fits to all the ages. Great nature watch trail with a long distance...
