Great views. Seen Cub Scout pack getting their hike on! Easy trail. National Hiking Day

I always enjoy this hike. Great workout and views!

This is one of my favorite trails in LA! Beware there's little shade in the first part but this trail is incredible early in the morning. Ample parking and just difficult enough to get me into shape

Beautiful area but it was so hard to follow this trail. So many washes and false trails that led me and my partner astray. Ended up adding two miles to make it a 5-mile total hike. Ended up on the PCT at some point? I made it out in one piece so I’m not complaining.

It was a nice trail. I set out at 7:30 a.m and finished it in 2 hours. Carry water and sunscreen!

3 miles as the crow flies. going up and down hills, it feels a lot longer. great views

As a visitor from Texas I would rate this higher than moderate but I’m not used to hiking mountains either. The other hikers are super friendly and my dog loved it as much as me. Great place to hike!

Great neighborhood trail. Some small side routes that are less trafficked and more nature filled. Good for a spot of the moment or after work hike or walk.

The rocks were great to climb on. The trail was a little hard to follow in certain spots but it was still a good hike. Not that strenuous.

This was a relatively easy trail to the Hollywood sign. The hardest part about this trail is that it is straight up to get to the Hollywood sign. I started from the Canyon Road parking lot and went to the back of the sign first and then the front of the sign. In total that was 7.5 miles. If you only go to the front of the sign it is 5.7 miles. Listen to what everyone else says -go out super early, there is no shade. You’ll need sunblock, a hat, water and sturdy footwear. The ground is not technical at all, it’s a flat hard pack and actually at the very top its asphalt to the front of the sign.

Great hike. Not very hard; but quick and beautiful!

This was an awesome trail! It’s super easy to hike, but it’s the rocks that are the star of the show! Get ready for some gorgeous geology and great views! I would recommend going off the trail where permitted (there are signs in certain places saying you shouldn’t) and clambering up the boulders

Loved the hike! The views were amazing and I got great shots of the sign. It is dry and open trail but if done in the early morning it's not bad at all. Definitely bring apply sunscreen and wear hats and sunglasses. We didn't go all the way up behind the hike, but it isn't much further up the trail (maybe like another mile) if you decide to go further up.

Awesome trail, we went with a gsd and a 2 year old and had the best time. Not very difficult and not very long trail

Alright but you can find better rock formations in Alabama Hills and Joshua Tree.

Dogs are allowed but be aware there are coyotes. I was with my daughter and two dogs. A coyote came up behind us and I think he was eyeing the smaller dog. Be careful!!

Great hike your heart rate climbs as you get moving along hikers friendly and helpful
Take plenty of water not much shade in places

Great hike - and easy for kids.

This was a fairly easy trail. Gradual incline. It’s really open so hats, sun screens, and at least a liter of water or more if you start late as it will get hotter in the afternoon. We spent about three hours total because we stopped at the Hollywood viewpoint ( front view of the sign) and Mt Lee ( back of the sign) to take in the breathtaking views and for lots of pictures.
There is no trail that will bring you right to the sign as it’s gated and in a protected area, however if you get onto Mt. Lee trail it’ll get you to Mt. Lee just behind the Hollywood sign and it’s as close to it as you could get to the sign. Hope this help, have fun!!!

This is a great adventure.. you need to have good shoes lots of dust and water. We saw rattle snakes so no flip flops...

Very simple hike. Very little shade. Watch where you step

This is a pretty neat hike. There are a lot of different trails here, so just make sure you know which one you're going up. The trail to the far left is my favorite. It has plenty of shade, but it's a bit of an incline, particularly at the beginning. I've run into snakes here and they didn't make any noise, so always know where you're stepping.

Great views after a tough hike.

I love it! All the hikers are very friendly. Great workout. Light traffic

Great moderate hike to bring out of town guests. However, if out of shape, it may be difficult. It’s up hill at beginning and end.

Great hike but not a lot of shade on the way up. The incline isn’t too steep here, but when you factor in the heat it feels like the trail never ends. I would recommend going either early it be morning or later in the evening. I went at noon like a moron. Happy hiking!

Easy to get to it from the highway. Many people taking photos in nice dresses, etc. massive picnic table areas for large events. Some rocks are very close to the parking so you don't have to necessarily hike to get awesome selfies.

Great hike if you like some challenge and don’t have a lot of time. Wear sunscreen as you are quite exposed.

Fairly moderate incline; is nice for a quick (usually takes me 1-1.5 hours walking) hike. Love to take the dogs here when it's cool enough. Great views. Water near the end for humans and doggos. Parking is occasionally full, but I can always find a spot nearby in the neighborhood.
