This place is gorgeous. Some of the trails get overgrown a bit, but none of them are too tough. Several trails cross the water. So, if it’s been raining, expect to get wet. Will definitely be heading back.

Great trail with plenty of shady areas! Family friendly even my 69 year old mom who sits behind a desk all day felt good afterwards.
The elevations are an easy ascent. We will definitely go back!

**50% of trails closed between March 1st to September 1st due to endangered species nesting.**

Awesome park.
Don’t plan to hike beyond 6.2 miles unless you go before or after the bird nesting season. I’ll be back to experience the rest of the trails once it’s after September.

My family and I loved the cave. Would have given it a 5 star rating but admission to the caves were a bit expensive. Definitely worth the trip!

We enjoyed the caverns a lot. Loved the history of this particular one, thought it was very interesting and beautiful. We also did the trail above ground. It was an easy trail with some interesting scenery. Parts of it reminded my husband and I of a planet used in one of the Star Wars movies.

Very clean and maintained trials. Come early! The parking lot is small and will fill up fast. And...when the sun comes up you are going to feel it. There is not a lot of shade on most parts of these trails.

Great hiking. Some parts challenging to a beginner like me. But a fantastic work out. The wildlife is abundant.

Great trails. Nice staff. Clean grounds. Lake water was down in January and will be raised mid-February. Lots to trek near the lake and in the woods. Short drive to Longhorn Caverns down the street. Park store on site. great activities for families and group gatherings.

Highlights include Armadillo sightings throughout walk and potential of bald eagle sightings. No elevation, no substantial views. Just a nice walk around the grounds.

Nice views. Quiet.

We ended up coming here due to Enchanted Rock being overcrowded, and were pleasantly surprised. The scenery is beautiful and highly varied, and the trail has enough contour to provide a decent workout. It's rocky in places, so wear appropriate shoes and bring your trekking poles if you have them.

A good alternative to the very busy Enchanted Rock trails.

Fun hike. A little rocky here and there but nice hike I would do again.

Great trails for hiking. There are several interconnecting loops near the lake trail allowing you to choose the appropriate distance and scenery for your hike. The trails are well maintained but not overly manicured. They are very well marked, even in the rockier outcrops. The dogs and I did the green lake loop and the interconnecting blue woodland loop which was spot on 4.5 miles. Challenging but not overly so. As far as skill level, I would consider the lake loop easy and the woodland loop intermediate due to the rocky terrain and gradual incline. Great hike and impressive trails - I will certainly go back!

What a beautiful and well-maintained park! We loved the classic Texas Hill Country landscape. The trails were mostly a mix of sand and granite rocks, and while it wasn't very well marked, the map we were given by the friendly staff at headquarters was pretty helpful (entrance fee is $6 for each person). Our GSD loved it. Would recommend trash receptacles for dog poop and camping litter, but other than that, it was exactly what we had hoped! The grasshoppers and prickly pears are out in full force right now, along with a bunch of campers, kayakers, and people swimming/picnicking. Really had a lovely time today!

This was a fun hike with my husband and three young boys. Well marked and pretty easy for the little ones. We loved the lookout Tower. There is a cavern that is run by a private company that you can pay to hike but we just hiked the small loop trail.

Beautiful hike. It's a mix of sun and shade, so make sure you take sunscreen. I just wish dogs were allowed.

Nice trail. A little elevation. Not too crowded.

Not worth the drive. The trail has hardly any shade. Very narrow we were kind of worried about snakes. No water except one spot and it was very small.

great trailers. very well marked. beautiful views. very peaceful

Pretty views. Stacked loops let you make the hike as long as you want.

Beautiful trail! Nice hike, challenging areas, and the 2 people that were there working were so nice and helpful! Will be back

What a beautiful hike! Had the chance to check out all the trails and they were all great! Very peaceful and relaxing. We did run across a coral snake so just be cautious!

Its so beautiful. little hard but I'm a beginner. the views are breath taking

Short well marked trail of crushed granite. The lookout was cool. 3 story's tall. The CCC buildings, stairs and entrances were awesome. The old photos of cave where fun to look at.

Well marked nice Trail with beautiful spring flowers end of April

Nice secluded trail...good for a morning stretch out hike. Cow Creek is beautifully clear. Make sure that you include the Indian Grass trail in your hike...completes the experience!
