Trails to Do Map

My wife and I enjoyed a truly lovely wintry 3 mile hike. We did part of the loop and then backtracked on a parallel trail. The views of stump pond were just beautiful.

Indeed beautiful trail, well maintained, amazing view of the lake through out the trail, duckies all over.

Beautiful trail

Never heard of this place until I found it while searching for dog friendly parks to hike with my pup. Great trail! Good length, fairly easy for a bigger or smaller dog, nice lake views throughout, and some fun little up/downs and creek crossings. Definitely coming back!

Great trail! Great views with abandoned house at the end! Wear good shoes!

No ticks in the winter tho! A LOT in the summer

Camping area is also great fun

Awesome trail- more moderate than easy! End of November and still beautiful- just really muddy

A variety of terrain, topography and scenery made this a terrific day hike with the wife and the dog. Some stellar views of LI Sound (with Connecticut & Rhode Island in the distance) from atop the rather abrupt bluff edges. Be sure to leash your dog and watch your step; some of these trails literally bottom out after years of exposure to the Northeast elements. We went when it was cold so tick activity was not a factor. But I can see it being as issue when the mercury rises. This 8 mile loop route was just what we needed. I'd definitely do it again.

Great morning for a Cub Scout hike. Trails struck a good balance for all the participants.

This my place baby. You won't find a more beautiful forest!

Very pretty loop trail with just enough change in terrain to keep it interesting.

Lower trail was a little crowded as there was a run going on. Once we got off the main path, it was a nice quite hike. Nice views and once the leaves drop I'm sure even better.

one of my favorite hikes! sunken forrest is quite magical... went mid october and the weather was perfect!

Not a challenging hike but still a very fun one.

loved that there were lots of dogs along this trail. Easy to follow & peaceful.

Loved this trail, well marked, easy and flat... very scenic. There is a cool part where you walk on a wooden boardwalk over water through the trees. Nice little streams, definitely recommend.

Great place with amazing views. The trails are dog friendly and allowed. You aren’t “supposed” to have dogs on the beach but there were many of them playing on the sand and water. Nice and clean. Highly recommend

very scenic and perfect trail for leisure biking!!

Dog friendly, wide open trails. Nice and easy dirt trails for beginners.

Beautiful scenery. Easy to moderate ride. Paved loop is easy, even for children. Mountain biking trails more challenging & definitely require mountain bike tires with heavier treads than recreational cruiser bicycle.

Easy to moderate trail to hike . No mountain bikers. View of Marsh is great and lots of wildlife. We will come back on the winter when it snows.

Went there today. Beginning of trail was marked but as we went further north and west it was poorly marked. Got very lost and had to call 911 for assistance. They could tell where we were and we finally got out. We were met by a park ranger and 3 patrol cars. Never again

My favorite day trail. Easy to navigate and quiet and peaceful. Lots of deer as well. Some horseback riders as well. Has a nice stream to hang out at towards the end of the trail with a bench. The boardwalk going through the forest also great. I’ve been there 3 times and have gotten bit by a few mosquitos but nothing out of control. I have never had a tick on me at this location.

I run this trail all the time marked well beautiful scenery quiet bathrooms on course at 2 points. Love it!! My nickname for this course is “Snoopy”

es muy bueno lo puedo recomendar es fácil acceso y calidad de area

Beautiful views and loved the hike, but BEWARE taking your dog! Despite staying in the middle of the trail, all 3 of ours were literally covered, no joke, in thousands of "seed ticks" (tick larvae) from paw to chest. We had never heard of this before and it's absolutely disgusting. Will go again, but not taking the dogs unless it's the dead of winter.
