Relatively short and for the most part easy. There's one section getting near the top where you have to scramble up the rocks. There's also a side trail where you can view the arch from underneath which as worth the extra little walk. The trail was quite crowded so if I went again I would go during the week and even earlier in the morning

A great sub-hour run for those good on rocky terrain looking for a short trip outside and feeling fit. Otherwise a pleasant use of part of the day with some scrambling to keep up the Interest. The top views are amazing.

Beautiful

Hard hike, but worth it!!

Very fun but difficult trail, steep with lots of scrambling. Great 360-degree view of the valley from the top.

This is a great trail! Be prepared for a lot of people and some steep inclines.

gets the blood moving! like others said, recommend circumference loop to get started and add some length. old trails break off in areas and are a little steep so wear good shoes in case you get a little lost. beautiful city view at the top!

Easy hike, scenic views, popular spot. About 3-4 miles round trip from parking.

If you stick out a thumb and a bee you might get a free private pink Jeep tour from a local on the walk back :)

Awesome trail. I rate easy trail with moderate elevation.. Bonus we seen the wild horses on the end of our hike playing in the lake.

We took Chuck Wagon Trail there and back. We got there around 7:30am and easily found parking. Nice, easy hike most of the way. It was a little bit of a climb at the very end but nothing crazy and well worth it :)

Challenging and fun trail. There were many others on the trail, all enjoyed the mountain.

This is an extremely popular hike and the parking lot stayed full so there was a lot of parking on the road. We drove our Jeep in on the wide, rocky path for about a quarter-mile and hiked in the rest. There are several, well setup steep steps which quickly add to the elevation of this hike but I overheard several folks say it is well worth the effort, and I certainly agree.

Great hike get there early

Amazing hike with challenging points throughout. We went early in the morning (5:45am) and it wasn’t too crowded. Quick a few sections needed hands to climb up but the climb to the summit was beautiful! Took about 45 mins to get to the top doing a relaxed pace about 4.5 mile return in total.

If you are afraid of heights, I would suggest not going. I saw a couple of people turn around because of that. It’s a fun hike but the only thing challenging is the amount of people. You just have to be mindful of other hikers and make frequent stops. The hike itself wasn’t too bad.

Hiked Thursday 4/12 in the afternoon. Super popular and busy trail- not for those looking for solitude. Easy inclines and everyone is patient to allow each person to walk onto the bridge for a photo op. Great views.

Dust and vehicles on the trail leading to the trailhead are annoying, but the views from the top are well worth the time. Doable in ~45 minutes to 1 hour one way.

Great view from the saddle!

This was a fun, challenging hike. We also happened to have the best weather possible, 69 degrees with a cool, light breeze. I highly recommend this trail to everyone!!!

Up hill walk with amazing 360 degree view from the top of the ruins.

Short easy walk but worth the stop, fantastic cliff dwellings.

We only was able to see the upper part , the lower hike was canceled because was to windy and rocks were coming down.
The experience was amazing, the whole canyon is Soooo beautiful. Be prepared to be surrounded with a lot of other hikers, it is challenging to take pictures and we got rained with sand because of the wind. Cover your camera from the sand.

This is a fun hike. I'm 60 years old and in average shape. I took my time, resting when needed, drinking plenty of water, and always looking for the easier way. If your joints are ok and you have average strength, you can do it. Go slow, be smart, and have fun!

This is a gorgeous hike!!! There were hardly any other people out when I went, so it was a very nice experience. The view of weavers needle is superb. The desert is just glorious in these parts. I couldn’t stop taking photos. Oh, and I saw a collared lizard right off of the trail! I wouldn’t rate this trail as difficult though- more like moderate. But that doesn’t matter- highly recommend!

This is a really pretty hike that is easily accessible to people in central/south Phoenix. I come regularly just to get a nice workout in. It can be busy which is obviously not ideal.. but that’s the trade off for it’s great location. In the summer you will see tons of lizards. Chuckwallas, desert iguanas, zebra tails.. it’s flooded with them just keep your eye out. As for difficulty, it’s definitely not hard. I would rate it as moderate. All in all, great hike! The lookout unfortunately is crowded with tourists who drive up for the views. No avoiding that.

Go early as soon as the gate opens at 8. Excellent views of the rock formations from all degrees. Be sure to stop at the Mesa. Lots of rock steps as part of the trails. Well marked in most places. Just follow the footsteps if you can’t tell which way to go. No bicyclists, jeeps, or casual hikers in sandals. Panoramic views everywhere!

It’s about 45min walk with absolutely amazing rock formations and colors to watch... one of the most enchanted places I’ve seen so far...

The hike from the parking lot wasn’t too bad. If you have a 4wheel drive car and sits high, you can go down the trail and park it closer, then hike your way up. Very cool spot to add to the list.
