Was a great place to take my dog to walk/jog on weekdays. Not crowded at all. Seen maybe two other people!

like most said. lots of sights. go to the fossil overflow and see stone fossils.

Many good views in the fall...

Nice view in the forest. But need better maintenance.

We parked at the Pioneer Village then hiked out and back. We followed a couple other small trails on the way back to extend the hike to 5.5 total miles. The waterfall is small but cool, the rock cliff is surprisingly fun, and the lake gives great views. The trail is very clean and amazingly marked with blazes and signs.

I enjoy hiking with my wife nice trail we found a friend a straight cat somebody dump it in the trail and he start following us the whole trail in and out we feel bad and we took it home he was hungry

Very pretty Trail and kept up nicely. I love to walk my dog here, he enjoys running up the stairs that were built. I really like that you can combine it with other trails and have a long hike.

Awesome trail with some really cool sights!

Great trail, well marked!

Great wooded trail. Good waterfalls and cliff overlook. Great foliage too

Great trails close to the city. Markings aren’t great and they are not very well maintained but a lot of mileage possible.

Completed this as part of the Loop Trail. Well maintained, with a nice overlook of the creek and a swinging bridge. Pioneer village is also a wonderful place to take a break and eat some food from your pack.

A lot to be loved about this trail. Lots of hills and beautiful scenery. The trail is wide enough and clearly marked--at ALL places so basically impossible to get lost. I gave it 4 stars because of the mud. It hasn't rained in 2 days so I assumwd it would be fine. But there is about a 1 mile section on the Yellow/Orange trail that was pure mud. Like being on a slippery, ice skating rink of mud. I don't really care that it coated my Hiking shoes, but there were moments when it was so difficult to not slip and fall down. So if you hike this trail, I think you will have a great time but prepare for mud if it has rained within the past few days.

Great trail. Along the creek can get muddy, but there are some bypass trails. All all the trails are well marked. West of the dam is a lot of up and down and steep hills.
If you start at the Nature Center, they have drinking water to fill up your water bottles.

9/29 - we wanted to do this trail and saw signs that most loops are closed for hunting. Big disappointment

good little trail for a family hike or a quick run. its a short trail so we ran it twice. the trail offers a very nice wooded scene and the potential to see wildlife. would recommend this trail. the trail level i feel should be rated as easy. if you are in even ok shape it may leave you wanting more. not a difficult trail but still very nice and enjoyable

I cant quite call it "as good as it gets" (which is a 5 star apparently), but this was a beautiful, easy hike. There was a fun rope bridge and a small waterfall, and if you take a detour to the pioneer village, there are some cool old buildings. One of my favorite trails I've found so far!

Beautiful trail to hike or jog- I’d rate this more easy to moderate, in comparison to other trails- would be easy with kids, where as California nature park is rated as moderate and is much more difficult

Perfect little loop! You can take the nature trail off the loop and cross the road to link up with some other trails in the area if you want an extension.

The trail is a bit overgrown in some areas and you definitely need a map or gps application to stay on the loop. It's pretty rough with roots in some areas but overall it's a great trail considering it's in the middle of a city.

I’ve hiked the trail a few times now and I’m finally starting to learn it. I still save a map to my recording every time so I don’t get turned around. It’s very easy to get off the 2mile path because of all the other intertwined trails. Almost got taken out by two mountain bikers, but it’s understandable because I was on a bike trail for part of it. This is definitely my new favorite place to come.

There is more to this place then simply hiking... it is a historic site, and highly recommend taking some time to visit the museum so that you can appreciate the origins of this fascinating place. Keep in mind what part of the country you are in when evaluating this route - a four star in Ohio is much different than a four star in upstate New York. I rated this trail based upon the understanding that the majority of Ohio is relatively flat, this area is not, and the historical significance of this place is very unique.

Good trail for how close it is to the city. Extremely overgrown in a lot of areas, but overall a good hike.

I think we got off trail because it was not well marked, but it was still nice. Trails are dirt trails so if has rained recently trails are pretty muddy. Dog friendly.

Bunch of small short trails, pretty easy to just keep walking through one to another. Good wild flowers, and a pretty creek.

Wish some would respect Mother Nature more!!!

Nice wide trail, in good shape. Mostly gravel, some spots dirt and some spots grass. Part of trail closed due to a bridge being fixed
