This is a great short hike. The rocky path keeps you on your toes with foot placement but never are you just climbing on just rocks.yhe view at the end is wonderful. I recommend starting by at least 8am for best conditions.

Toddler friendly hike. End has a nice rock scramble that is a must do...just not with the toddler. Beautiful views both ways from the top.

Great Hike. Well maintained trail all the way up. The steward at the top was very friendly and provide good info about the area. Took the dog with and had to keep him on the leash the whole time due to high traffic and previous reviews of snakes being more active near the trail.

Nice trail. Nice views at end

Far away from me, but great hike. Up to you how difficult you wanna make it. Wanna go fast?? Pretty easy first half way up, then you start noticing how difficult the elevation makes it. Take your time the first time up to get an idea how goes.

Beautiful hike just an hour out of Phoenix. Uphill the entire way out, but it’s a well kept, smooth, dirt trail, so not too strenuous. Some steep cross-backs. No trees, so being water if it’s warm! Hiking among the pebbles of giants.

very nice hike. Very crowded, and some loose footing. also lots of bees at the cave. if you're allergic bring your meds. absolutely amazing views

Very beautiful, fun trail through canyon with scrambling at the end. Fantastic with kids

Decent sized parking lot. The center at the trailhead does not have water, but they have restrooms.
The first 1.2ish miles of the hike are a good leg workout (pretty uphill) but the rest isn’t bad.

Great hike. Excellent views of the valley. Bring plenty of water. No water at trailhead.
Def worth the climb. Fair description of trail.

This is one of my top 10 trails! Absolutely beautiful! Canyon walks change with every turn. Went beyond the end point for extra scenery. It was amazing.

Great, great trail. We hiked with three small kids and our dog, everyone had a blast. If you can do the rock scramble at the end, you definitely should. Dad and the oldest child (9) went up and the view was spectacular!

Hiked this last Sunday 4/8. Great hike, but you MUST bring water especially if you start after 10 am and it's projected to be over 85 degrees out! Very uphill.

Great trail.. well marked and beautiful at every turn. Be sure to go on to the very end of the Canyon. There the walls of the Canyon surround you and the creek runs through. Soft trail with some climbing and navigating of creek crossing. Crossed the creek 28 times in all.

Always hard to get a parking spot, and never a disappointed hike!

Very beautiful hike featuring Sedona’s iconic red rock cliffs, gorgeous riparian areas, pine trees, and flowing water. The only bummer is the wait to get in and the crowds... so be early. It’s fabulous from beginning to end! My gps clocked 7.5 miles but we went a little past the end of the maintained trail, which I would recommend doing if you wanna see more beauty of the creek and narrow red rock walls. Super easy hike to do for all ages and dogs. Took about 4 hrs with frequent stops for pictures.

Loved this hike! Crosses the very shallow creek many times and it's easy to get your feet wet, but that was my favorite part of the trail (as well as the very end). Make sure to wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty/wet and maybe extras to put on at the end. Keep in mind parking is very limited so you will probably have to wait for parking spaces to open up. Cash only entry.

Very beautiful hike! Lots of shade and trees. Plus you're surrounded by the beautiful red rocks above the trees. Pretty easy so kids and people of all abilities should be able to complete.

Loved the hike. We went with our 6 year old and 14 year old and it took us a total of 6 hours to complete the hike at their pace. We enjoyed the multiple creek crossings and especially the end when it narrows and you have to walk in the creek to continue. Bring waterproof hiking shoes, it will make the hike more comfortable.

Stunning short walk to see the sun set. Steep at times. Moderate is the right rating.

amazing!!!

Very different from other hikes in the area as it is shaded and quite green. Easy nature walk good for people of all ages and abilities but enough rock climbing on the side paths to keep people occupied. When the trail ends you can hike up the steep hill in front of you for a gorgeous view of the whole canyon. That little climb at the end can be a good test prior to the Cathedral Rock climb.

Great partially shaded out and back trail with an optional rock scramble. Amazing views of the canyon rock formations. If you manage the rock scramble you are rewarded with a spectacular view of the canyon.

Easy hike with well developed trails and can’t get lost even if you tried. Beautiful scenery all along the way

My 11 year old son and I had a great time! We went well beyond the “end of maintained trail” sign into the end of the canyon. Lots of thorny bushes at end of canyon depending on which path you choose. We did not find out until exiting the trail and running into some friendly folks that the arch is toward the beginning, up on your right. You cross the river bed for a somewhat short but challenging climb. Keep an eye out for it on your way in! :-)

Loved this trail! The Arch is amazing but it is NOT at the end of the trail. It is about halfway, on the right side. It is a bit of a climb, but totally worth it!! We went past the end and there are some beautiful views above and the tree line. That is more of a climb but again, worth it.

the arch is by far the best part, look for the cairns half way through.
