Awesome!!!! Nobody was there. (on a Sunday afternoon). Keep in mind it's a dirt path off the main road and there's a lot of ditches. When you park, you walk for about a quarter off a mile, then you start going down hill.

December on this trail is awesome. No one around, but still able to make out the path. Waterfall is iced over but scrambling up it wasn’t too bad. Really enjoyed the peace and different falls you hit as you climb.

beautiful for a nice winter hike.

it was a great snowy winterland. it was a wonderful trek and not to long. it is also pretty well marked except after the waterfall. then it got tricky so I decided not to continue and headed back down.

Great little trail. Dogs can be off leash after 100ft from the parking lot. As mentioned below you must drive onto private property (that isn't fenced) to get to the public parking lot and the trail head but the trail is not on private property.

There is a coyote currently living in the canyon. Met it one morning with my dog; it was like 80-100ft up the hill. There is a sign at the entries about the coyote. It's real. They must have had a good snack on Thanksgiving as there were ribcage bones on the trail, and I saw a hoof this week.

It was a beautiful and fun easy hike. It has great views of the lake. if you are short on time and want a beautiful hike this is the one. you first walk through the trees then eventually along the mountain. Mid hike it gets rocky so just be aware of your stepping. We went Thanksgiving weekend and the river was flowing but just not at full capacity. I would want to do this hike again in the Spring to see the river when the snow melts. but overall it was a beautiful hike!

Rough for a beginner. Def need to have some semblance of fitness before doing this trail. Awesome photo ops. Did this trail 2 weeks ago before the snow came. Currently has a ‘Closed for Season’ sign up. Will go back when I’m in Chuck. Norris shape and it re-opens.

Trail was easy to follow. The waterfall was running nice due to the recent snow/rain fall. Had a couple decent photo ops. Overall, if you’re a beginner, you won’t find this trail too difficult.

Amazing hike!

I was here mid-week in mid-November and saw very few people. The trail (road) down is unremarkable but wow... That's an amazing piece of architecture at the end. It's definitely worth it for that and for the opportunity to spend some time lazing on the shore of the stunning Emerald Bay.

Loved it. Great views. A good amount of uphill climbing on the way up to Eagle Lake but well worth it!

This is a wonderful easy hike that is easy to access. Getting to the falls is pretty easy until you get very close, then the trail becomes a little unclear. Even so, just keep going straight and you will see where the falls are. Right now the water is barely moving. Would love to come back and check this out after a snow melt!

Amazing views all around, watch your step, & keep your kids away from the mountain edge, lots of slippery loose rocks. Parking is sheer luck if you get one. So much beauty here, enjoy!

Easy hike, lots of people, beautiful views.

The trail is seemingly impossible to follow, especially on the way down. The hike was definitely fun (lots of scrambling and adventuring on the rocks) and I would do it again, but it only gets 3 stars because the "trail" was so hard to follow.

Great trail for families. Kids loved climbing the rocks. Beautiful views.

5 stars for beautiful family trail but had to only give 3 because waaaay too crowded

Boring walk, but worth it when you get the beach at the end.

A great trail to go with kids. Really nice views of Emerald Bay. We went with a 1.5 and 3.5 year old and they really enjoyed it, especially the beach at the end! It’s very easy on the way down, and steep on the way up (for just about a mile, so totally doable!) Arrive early for parking! Parking area is $10.

great view, kids and dog friendly, the lake is an amazing meditation place

easily accessible

It wonderful trail. Took us about 45 mins walk wonderful view the lake

Great hike with beautiful scenery

Nice easy hike with some great views. Parking can be tricky so get here early when you can. Definitely steep at some points, wear good shoes. Lovely views of the lake.

super super steep but so pretty... it really is worth the hike back up

Overall a short and pretty easy hike with some rocky spots towards the end. Would love to go in Spring to get a chance to see the waterfall after the creek gets some snowmelt. The creek is peaceful right now, and there’s lots of space to take in the view. Beautiful views of the lakes and granite rock formations!

gorgeous hike and the lake is amazing! might have been because I went on a Saturday, but it was incredibly crowded all the way up and down. Still a good one!

Definitely a scenic hike. Had a lot of different pools to explore and involves a bit of climbing. Great for a quick trip to a waterfall.

Beautiful lake, fairly easy hike. The falls were dry so not much to see. Pleasant place to stop for lunch.
