Nice hike, really nice falls, but the end of the trail dumps you onto the highway, a long and very dangerous trek back to the trailhead and my car. By God's grace a very nice gentleman stopped and offered me a ride to my car.

Great trail, short 1/2 mile to the waterfalls area with lots of pools and rocks. Took a group of kids there and they loved it, climbing all over the rock formations and playing around the stream for several hours.

Fairly challenging with LOTS of hills. Good workout on a pretty, wooded trail.

We parked, paid 5 bucks, took the red trail, the longest trail, it was not good for hiking at all, quite boring through the pasture . Boring will not come back

kayak there a lot

Great family friendly and pet friendly trail. One of my favorites!

This is the best kept secret in Johnson County. Quite, clean, secluded, well maintained and well marked trails. By far my favorite trail around Olathe, DeSoto, Lenexa, Shawnee.

Such a beautiful trail. The waterfalls were flowing. Great place to bring the kids.

We’ve had rain, recently, so the falls were just awesome! Wonderful path, with gorgeous surroundings. Wear sturdy shoes!

I really enjoyed this hike. there are a number of different trails that intersect at various points so you can choose your own adventure.

We just came back from a two mile walk around this very nice 9 mile loop! This is easily the biggest body of water in the area, and the trails are so easy. Everything is clearly marked, and we even saw a runner with his dog at the start of the Boy Scout trail :-)

This is a very trafficked area, so don't expect a lot of privacy. We went on a Sunday at noon hoping to beat crowds and only saw a few friendly people. The further you go away from the mass of trails (and just follow the lake loop) the less people you see--but this is February. I couldn't imagine a quiet space in June or July.

This is still a great place to enjoy the water and beautiful trees!

It was a nice, natureful hike. The falls were more of a dribble in August when we were there. We decided to get more adventurous and do a little rock scrambling where the falls would normally be and climb back behind them. Its just an ugly drain, in case you felt the need to be curious too! ;)

Had a blast! Nice falls.

Nice, well maintained trails. I'll definitely be back.

Loved this trail. It wasn’t too difficult and had a lot of cute little off trails and places to climb up on rocks.

The falls and the boulders were awesome

Wonderful trails, but beware: very slippery when the ground is saturated! Amazing views and unexpected beauty.

well marked. lots of pleasant miles available.

My favorite trail in Kansas, hands down. The north shore trail system is made up of the blue, white and red trail (just follow the coordinating blaze as each trail is well marked!). Ive done the entire trails system which is around 25+ miles. The red trail is the shortest trail but is (arguably) the most technical section as it scrambles along large rocks that follow the lake shore. Great for short/long hikes, trail running and biking! Great place to take your dog just be sure to keep on leash as the trails are very popular with mtn bikers.

Prefect hike with a family! Fun rocks and places to play plus water to splash in. Not too long of a walk so the little ones can handle it!

Nice trail. A bit too manicured for my taste but given its proximity to KC, makes sense.

great trail with hills

neat little trail to visit. very easy anybody could do this one.

Very busy with lots of off leash pooches to greet you.

We followed the All Trails trail map. 2 out of the 4 miles was paved in asphalt. The other 2 are wooded area. Some parts might be moderate, but 3.5 miles should be rated as easy. There were several other people about, so I would say moderately traveled, not lightly. But the area is decent and so was the trail. May check out again.

Simple but fun. A go to when you just need to wander for a moment

Great, quick family hike. My 3 year old had a blast. There's a nice stone stair case that leads up above the main falls that has a lot of nice pools and ledges to play on. Will definitely be going back often.

Decent trail. Not sure about the lightly trafficked, we saw about 10-12 other people in the 4 miles we hiked. That seems almost moderately trafficked. There are a few trails that break off the main, so you have to watch that. We gps the All Trails map to stay on the correct trail. The trails are clearly visible, but mostly unmarked. The last half mile of the trail is paved in asphalt, so you are completely out of the timber. You do walk along a creek for a bit, so that was cool.

Nice place good views

We had lots of fun! Ended at a part of the lake that actually almost felt like a beach cause the water was so wavy that day up to the shore! The maps really help to get a picture of where the trails get closest to the water/shoreline.
