Some of the trail wasn’t marked as clearly as it should be. No dogs, but can ride horses. Definitely not as crowded as thought it would be but maybe that’s due to the time of year.

Nice variety of trails and scenery plus great fishing spots. May want to park further down near the river and start the trail there to help avoid a lot of thick mud. After the incline to the meadow top the mud clears up alot and the rest of the trail is very enjoyable. Also tons of deer and a large variety of fungi along the trails. Bathrooms still closed. Gates lock at 5:10pm as of 1.29.21.

Understandably wet and muddy from all the rain but lots of variety including nice views of the Sandy River. Had the whole trail to ourselves.

We went to hike on a rainy day. There is a $5 parking fee that can be paid at the park entrance. Overall it is a great trail to hike in the rain.

Such a nice hike to start the new year. The river was amazing. The trail was a little muddy but not too bad, there wasn’t too many people so it was easy to maneuver around. I will definitely be back

On a rainy day in December we had the entire park practically to ourselves-only 3 other hikers.

Beautiful heavily forested area with lots of fall foliage near the river. Saw tons of deer at the "elk meadow " portion which was a nice treat. Secluded paths with great views are a nice change from the heavily trafficked trails near the city or Hood. Bathrooms still closed $5 entrance fee Gate closes at 6:10pm as of today

Worst trail marking, especially for a park with a $5 per day fee. We got off course a couple times, but didn't mind the extra length. There are lots of distracting footpaths & shortcuts that are not on the map, so it felt like we had to constantly check the map to stay on track. Disappointingly, we didn't find a clear starting point for the far westside trail; signage would be nice. Part of the trail went up a steep, rocky (kinda slippery rocky) service road that was a bit tedious and would have been better as a switchback. Good location for getting a longer, several-hour hike in without much backtracking. There are numerous points at which tiny streams cross the trail in well-built, cool-looking stone gutters. Nice river views. Yes the bathrooms are closed but there are several port-a-potties available. Lots of people in the picnic locations and along the shore of course. There was still plenty of parking. We passed 11 people over the course of several hours.

After you pay the fee get a map at the front to help you navigate the place. I connected a bunch of side/service trails/road to the main paths for a good 3 hour hike with plenty of incline. A mix of forest, meadow, and pretty Sandy River views make this a great park. Bathrooms are currently closed.

Super easy trail. Only ran into a couple people on it. Great to take my parents on. Awesome views of the Sandy River. Would do again.

Easy trail for the most part but really bad, to not signposting for how many forks in the roads there are. Make sure to get a map when you enter!

$5 to park. Pick up a map for a better idea of the layout then record your route on here so you can navigate all the little side trails easily. It’s a good nature walk/easy hike.

I've been here several times. I love the easy walking path. There's great things to see here too. We've seen several Bald Eagles, just one of the many different bird species. Sun batheing Turtles, Big rat looking Nutria, snakes, rabbits, it really is a nature walk. I've never been disappointed in an adventure here.

Nice easy hike, parts of the trail do run along the road. Lots of forks, but if you just stay right (or continue on the trail in the opposite direction of the road) you will continue on. when the trails do break they mark the next entrance with orange cones, so very easy to navigate. Currently its pretty muddy out, but I was able to tackle the full loop in just a pair of tennis shoes. definitely start on the forested side of the trail and enjoy popping off on the river side at the end to treat yourself to a little beach day!
