Good, rocky hike. Some nice resting spots with beautiful views

nice little hike to some really pretty falls. It is pretty steep most of the way but the trail is a gravel road for half the way up. For people not in the best shape it may be slow going but worth it.

Love this trail probably one of my favorites

Anyone have directions to the falls. I took the service road until I got to a shin high stream crossing and wasn't prepared for that did I miss the trail or do you need to cross the stream?

Best hiking trail on the parkway with the best views! It is very convenient and it is located right off of the Parkway! This trail is very unique compared to other hiking trails in the area! If you are planning a hiking trip, this is a must do!

Very beautiful and fun place to swim, but also very crowded with lots of families. Short and easy hike, I would not rate it as moderate.

This was a very short hike with easy well-maintained paths. The waterfall at the end was pretty and fun for kids and dog to play around in. It was a Saturday morning so it was a popular spot for young and old. A little too easy and short for our family’s preference.

We stayed in a cabin right by this trail. It was a great, quick morning hike to get us going. It is well-maintained and steep in some places. It was fun for the kids (12&10 yrs) and dog. The waterfall was pretty and there were areas to play in the fresh mountain water . It is definitely short and I would only do it again if I was staying in the area.

Great little hike. We parked in the church parking lot. Up hill all the way until right before the falls, but easy trail. Grandparents and toddlers were making the hike. We took our two miniature Australian Shepherds.

Great views from a number of rocky outcrops, including views of the Linn Cove Viaduct, and expansive Blue Ridge mountain vistas. Budget at least an hour round trip, more if it had just rained or trail is wet. It gets very muddy after rain and the rocks can get very slippery. Multiple parts with steps, no gravel, mostly dirt/rocks combination mixed with tree roots. Good footwear needed; Once I did it in my running shoes - not a great idea. Moderate to hard in places.
Avoid, if possible, during weekends, or after 10am, as it gets uber-crowded. Children over 6 should be able to do it, as well as older adults in reasonably good shape/health.
Overall: great short hiking opportunity;

Note to BRP maintenance crews: trail is overgrown with shrubbery in places, no gravel left either, it's literally begging for some maintenance TLC.

Challenging enough but very doable (my 8 and 5 year olds were fine). Views are amazing and worth the hike.

Well maintained park with a beautiful waterfall. Has benches in a few areas to stop and admire the beautiful scenery. My grandchildren loved climbing and playing on the rocks. Fun trail for the family!

Easy hike to some gorgeous falls. Most of the trail is double track gravel. The swimming hole is nice and pretty well protected for kids.

Moderately difficult trail mainly due to wash out along the trail. Views at the end were great. Hiked early on a Saturday morning and only saw 2 other groups. Very limited parking at the trail head (maybe 4-5 spots). Trail forks near the end, stay left. Enjoyed the hike but will explore other trails in the area next time

A great hike with amazing views. A walking stick is helpful at times.

Hiked this fun trail today with my parents in their 50s and my youngest sister who is 12. Not at all difficult for me but a little slippery on the way down. Beautiful views to the South and a very pretty waterfall at the trailhead. Strongly recommend!

One of our family favorites. Strenuous, but not impossible.

Easy hike, only one section that's slightly steep is probably why this is rated as moderate. Lots of families on this hike, small wading pool at the base of the falls.

We were there all of 15 minutes. Within that time period we witnessed 2 complete dumbasses jump from the falls. One of which was covered in Swastika and white supremacy tattoos (he grazed the cliff on the way down). It was crowded with a pretty colorful array of people. We pretty much ran out of there. Very nice hike and it’s well worth the energy

Hiked from the parking lot up to the overlooks, then down to the bridge and back. The bridge has some excellent rock scrambling opportunities. Took my 6+9 yr old boys; they tripped or slid a couple times on the trail, but we're very careful near the edges. Picked lots of blueberries around the overlooks, but they hide off the beaten path.
The trail from the overlooks to the second half of the trail is overgrown and easy to miss, but opens up after you squeeze through.

Great short hike close to where we were staying, good for all, young, old and bad knees!

Love this hike. Great for families. Our 7 and 5 year old did fine with some coaching on slippery rocks. The incline is almost 500ft and the views are worth the work.

Beautiful views

Really enjoyed this short hike with the family! I would say this hike is good for most healthy folks, but may be a little tough on the way back for those with knee or other issues. Beautiful waterfall that is bigger than expected as the payoff. Located in Seven Devils and easy to reach.

great hike, about 30 minutes up to summit and beautiful views along the way. definitely a rocky trail and slippery in some spots. very much enjoyed and will be back again.

Easy/Moderate hike to incredible view.

Absolutely adored this hike. Definitely uphill both ways, but manageable for an avid hiker. Lightly trafficked. The view was fabulous, probably one of my new favorite spots in Western North Carolina.

Definitely a nice hike through the quiet woods of the Pisgah. One tiny little waterfall on the trail. Always hang a left no matter what. It was nice, but I probably wouldn’t do again.
