Awesome place with amazing views. We ran into a black bear on the first 1/4 mile of the hike. Poor guy must’ve been lost, Park rangers said we were the third sighting (one was on the road) . We went early afternoon and there wasn’t a crazy amount of people. Apparently the park rangers just cleaned up a dead horse but the smell is still there. Overall a good find and great hike. ( I had my 7 month old puppy with me too)

A great little day hike!

This instantly became my favorite local hike when I came over the hill & saw the view at the end.. fantastic, so many layers of mountains, so peaceful (I went at 6pm on a Sunday and I saw no one the entire time). The first mile is no joke though, very steep, otherwise easy.

Next time I'll make this an out-and-back rather than a loop by taking the left fork to the overlook & then turning around, that's where all the scenery is.

The hike was amazing and we were not bothered by nor saw the deceased horse. The sights were spectacular. Hike was not tough at all! A bit step at parts. Otherwise I would recommend for for children. We saw a few and they had no problems whatsoever.

Lovely little walk with beautiful views. We were greeted by six wild turkeys grazing along side the path seemingly careless of our presence.

First hike since moving to Denver so I don't have anything to compare it to (and all with a 3 month old puppy). It was a nice hike with great views and nothing extremely challenging.

Great little hike lots of wildlife.
Great views.

Great trail with plenty of parking and restrooms. We did the loop counterclockwise and I would recommend that for the best effect of the views at the top. They took our breath away. Great hike!

Great hike today, Sunday. Got there right before 11:00am. Plenty of parking and a restroom. The reviews before mine are spot on! My GPS said 4.0 exactly round trip. Went up Oxen to Eagle View and then around to Ravens. The descent this way was a little rough on the knees and I wished I had worn my running shoes instead of hiking boots. Kids who are 9 and 12 loved it!

FYI, McClintock trail starts just to the left of enchanted mesa; this trail doesn't allow dogs, enchanted mesa does. It then crosses enchanted mesa and keeps going up (still with no dogs); when you hit the end, you can take the loop coming back down on enchanted mesa. So I'd say this loop is about half dogs, half no dogs. Loved it and found the up part on McClintock to be quite challenging - a perfect morning hike with quite a lot of shade!

Got there around 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday - plenty of parking and pretty quiet.

The signage was a bit confusing at times, but we ended up taking oxen up to eagle view and continued the trail until it ran into ravens roost down.

The horse on oxen is still there and you only run into a short whiff of smell. The panorama at the top is very beautiful!

The incline and descents at the start/end of the hike can be steep and the trail is rocky in parts so I’d definitely recommend proper footwear.

We saw a deer, a snake, plenty of beautiful wildflowers, and butterflies.

Nice, quick hike just 30ish mins outside of Denver! Go in the morning to avoid crowds. We got to the trailhead around 10:30 and barely saw anyone on the way up. Lots of traffic on the way down (after 11:30) Lovey spot at the top to relax (if there aren’t a lot of people). Easy hike most of the way, a little more challenging as you get on the Panorama Point Trail going up but quick descent back down. Treed most of the way, sunnier as you get to the top. Good for a summer morning hike.

Did this hike in the evening so it was cooler and quiet on the trail. A fun road getting up to the trailhead and an easy hike for all. Beautiful view of the mountains and lots of pretty wildflowers.

Great little trail with some neat views. The uphill part when you turn around will really get your heart pumping! My dog enjoyed it also.

The panorama view at the peak was amazing. For the short distance away from Denver it has the best view I’ve experienced. It’s a great length for a part day hike. This has to be one of my favorite hikes!

Steady clime to a good view across to Denver. The first mile is a steady grade up a semi paved road, in full sun. Descended via Enchanted Mesa and McClintock trails. Much better and shaded. Take your walking stick, as the upper portion is steep and not well maintained. Nice ranger station and restrooms. Parking is free Monday through Friday.

Nice trail, easy, but but steep at start. Also it's difficult to spot the fork to the panorama view point. I missed it and walked past it later figured out that high ground was in other direction so went off-trail and managed to reach panorama point. Later found trail from panorama point leading to the actual trail! It's so obvious to miss that junction. Should have clicked a pic.

Awesome view at the top. Easy enough for the dog too. Went early on a weekday and saw 5 people total.

Great area with many routes and difficulties. Very scenic with plenty of shade.

Awesome views, much less busy than the visitor center but have to drive Fall River road to get there - beautiful drive and worth it, just takes a while to get there

Very pretty with lots of options to expand your hike. Brothers lookout is a short way off the trail that ends in scrambling up some cliffs for a pretty amazing view.

Def do it counterclockwise if you want a challenge to start. Nice hike if you’re short on time and want to get the heart pumping and some views. Def go behind the shed.

great view. kids can walk this one
we have see 13 marmots. is windy on the top. keep an eye on the weather.

Plenty of shade, quite a few mountain bikers but everyone was polite and friendly. We didn't have time for the loop and couldn't find Panorama Point as shown on the map, but the Bear Creek Trail was nice.

wife and kid and I (ages 30, 5, 36) started on mesa and came back on McLintock down. had to hold his hand for fear of tripping while going down hill. half shaded during afternoon. will be back again.

Non-strenuous hike with gorgeous views. Took the Chapman Drive fire road to the left for a nicely paced loop. Next time, I'd like to walk back on the trail. A good amount of shade, which our dogs enjoyed. Several folks on the path coming and going but wouldn't call it high traffic.

Moderately easy trail will several mounting/valley look out points. Group was hungover and we made it around the entire loop with minimal stops.

Very nice hike! Great view at the top! We found the trail very easy to find and that it was well marked. Mixed shade/sun. Just went on a Saturday around 1pm and it wasn’t too crowded at all.

Pretty easy going trail, great for out of towners or a quick hike if you have other plans in the afternoon. We did this trail on the 4th of July and it wasn't too crowded. Also yes there is a dead horse but we thought it was interesting, so to us this trail will forever be known as the dead horse trail.

Decent trail with mixed landscapes with some steep parts but mostly level with gentle grades. A fair amount of bikers with little regard to anyone else.
