A pleasant trail with wild berries and a brook. For a more “moderate” experience, be sure to climb the hill to the upper trails (see my photos of the “Afternoon Delight” and “Sundown” trails up there).

Really enjoyed this trail. Mostly really easy, great for families and dogs.

Very nice day hike — varied views along the way, peaceful place.

A nice nature walk with the added nicety of reading some of Frost's greatest poems in a pretty setting.

Wonderful nature walk with added bonus of Robert Frost poems. Take as much time as you need to read the poems and reflect on them. Benches available by some poems. Well marked and maintained trail. Would do this again.

Nice and soft on your feet, rolling hills, beautiful lake supporting loons;we sat on a rock and watched the loons flew circles around our heads. a real show off.

Quick one mile loop with varied scenery and enjoyable stops to read poetry along the way.

Nice easy hike, great view from the top

Visited today and it was absolutely lovely! The trail was mostly dry and luckily there was one trail map left at the kiosk. I do agree with the person who wrote to keep the trail map open on your phone, as there are many offshoot trails. It is a big hangout for the Canada goose, as there were about 40 or 50 of them on the lake today. Highly recommended for adults, kids, and dogs!

A fine train for snowshoeing. Starts you at the top of the hill so you coast down then have to slog back up. Would be easier to do in reverse. In winter, the access road is marginally plowed and basically single track, so it is moderately treacherous. The trailhead parking lot will be closed so you must park in a passing place on the road. Not ideal.

Dog friendly, nice easy path. Not much of an incline but beautiful walk out and at the lake. Not hard at all

Great place it’s beautiful there and views are amazing

Trail was well maintained. Very easy to hike. There were 2 other trails that went up the mountain for a longer hike if you have more time. The only disappointment was hearing the traffic because it's so close to the main road.

Still snow on the ground with nice views and signage with Frost poems. Would go again.

Wonderful hike. partly around the pond and then easy inclines up mountains. Toward the end, the maintenance is not great but with a little maneuvering it is possible to find the trail back. We parked at the Price Chopper lot across the street.

You can actually hike in a big loop about 3 miles in this natural area. Wonderful trail in early fall, very secluded and quiet with mushrooms and wildflowers galore.

Great trail...loved the numerous Robert Frost poems placed throughout the trail. Great all ages Trail

Good moderate hike, and the pond is wonderful.

Beautiful hike! However, parking is only on the street, not at trail head. Also, you will not find the name of the Trail anywhere on it- it is made up of about 5 trails, so it is best to keep the App map open or handy. Trail can be on the damp side.

Pleasant walk in the woods for those looking for a modest experience with gradual elevation gains. Hike culminates ending at undeveloped Cole pond with a feel of isolation, save the many hikers this accessible trail draws.

A wonderful hike through the woods with a beautiful pond at the end of the trail. Nice place for a quick swim or picnic. We would love to see the main trail clearly marked, and all dogs on leashes at all times.

As an fyi- there are no signs along the dirt road telling you there's a bog. No cell service either, if traveling via google maps. This is the most woodsy bog I've been to so far. The nicest thing were the labels sticking up from the ground identifying ferns, flowers, etc. I went here after hiking Faulkner Trail, and it's a nice place for exploring. Looks very accessible if handicapped, for the boardwalk portion.

An easy hike in terms of elevation. Several narrow and soggy parts. Be sure to wear waterproof shoes and long pants, or wait until autumn. Some lovely views of the lake with lily pads in full bloom.
