Hiked this trail in mid November when it was about 40 degrees out. Definitely had trouble finding the entrance to the trail, and there appears to be a smaller trail that has been created right at the parking area that leads off in the complete wrong direction. The actual trail is just a jeep trail that is not marked. Definitely recommend downloading a track ahead of time. Luckily we had LTE on the wrong trail and I was able to download a recording and find the correct trail. Someone had marked the trail down to the cave with an orange tag on a tree so we were able to find our way down. The cave/structure itself is pretty neat and the hike back up was pretty grueling, especially after doing two other trails earlier in the day. Overall a great short hike, just be prepared for going back up.

Beautiful trail and not too crowded. Lots of signage with lots of education about plant species. It was also fun to come across the concrete foundation of a house that used to be there but burned down. It was a beautiful trail to walk on a November Saturday morning. Thank you to all the volunteers who keep this trail in good shape!

Beautiful trail and views. Devils den has an amazing camping area as well. They have multiple trails in the area that will easily keep you busy all weekend.

Very nice hike. Heavily trafficked.

Always a great hike. Always a ton of people. But you can’t beat the view.

Not a bad trail that has some nice overlooks and rock formations, but it was crowded and not well marked in areas, we had to turn around a couple of times. Also, beware of snakes, we saw a black snake(no biggie) and a copperhead right on the trail. Definitely worth a look, but nothing mind blowing.

P.s. go during the week if you can, too many people kinda put a damper on this for us tbh.

Absolutely love this trail & so does my pup! Just know that the trail is very thin & you will be running into people, going around people, walking past other dogs, etc. This is a very busy trail, but a beautiful one! Yellow Rock Overlook is gorgeous!!

The moonshiner cave was awesome. A neat experience to go and explore. One thing I have to say is the trail was crap. There were no markers.

This hike is incredibly steep and rocky. The dry stone creek beds are beautiful. With leaves on the trees there is no view from the top. That part was a little disappointing. Saw a turtle and garden snake along with some beautiful flowers.

There was a very nice overview in the middle of the trail.

Lots of uphill with rocky steps up and down

Very nice hike. The trail is well maintained. The waterfall and creek are well worth the visit! The suspension bridge if fun. Note that because this trail is in town and with having the waterfall/creek that it does draw in a crowd to get get in the water so be prepared depending on time of day/year that you may not get the peace and quiet you are looking for. With that said once you get away from that area the crowd disappears. There are plenty of benches along the trail where you can sit and take in nature. This is a cant miss hike!

this trail is SO fun, super gorgeous scenery. September is so perfect to go. the overlook took my breath away.

Incredible views! Best in the state. An decent, doable hike for all ages and highly recommend. Do not recommend the upper outlook above Yellow Rock on the same trail. Adds an extra 60 minutes, and is not nearly as good a view as Yellow Rock since it’s obstructed by trees. That and you can drive to the upper outlook.

Hiked this trail several times over the past few years. Several good uphill climbs that will test the lungs. Good population of wildlife and wildflowers. Some decent waterfalls after a good rain or spring time. Usually you can hike all day and maybe see half a dozen other hikers, but I usually go and don’t see another person all day. This trail system has a little bit of everything. Hard sections, easy sections, springs and creek beds, bluffs, lake access and decent views on the higher ridges. Overall a good trail system that is close to the bigger NWA towns and just far enough out that you can feel lost at times.

Trail winds past mossy boulders and limestone bluffs thru the breezy ridge tops to a view that is beautiful year round. Trail is generally well kept, with a rough spots. The elevation change in accomplished through a series of switchbacks, which may benefit from the use of a walking stick, depending in your knees.

Great hike, great views

This is a beautiful hike! Lots of benches for those they may need to rest. Clear trail.

Do not let the fact that the trail is made up of a series of Old Logging roads fool you. the trails are up and down very steep rugged hills. There is a reason this trail is rated as difficult because it is. also be aware that there are wild hogs in this area so be on the lookout and use caution, as wild hogs can be dangerous even when unprovoked. all this being said, it was a pretty decent trail and it was definitely a good cardio workout. Lastly, be sure to bring water.

nice little hiking trail and love the cave

I love this hike! I go all the way around! You can hike the creek bed. Along the waterfall.
It is busy at times. But, overall it is a great place to hike.

Great trail. If you have bad knees I would be cautious most of this train is lost on large steps and large lost rock!

Pay attention to your map! A TON of people we talked to along the way told us we were at the top when we were only halfway up. There are roads at both trailheads, if you don't see a parking lot and a road you are NOT done.
