Awesome little place. So off the beaten path. Discovered this place is 2003. Best seasons to go are spring, summer and part of fall. First time i went, there was some snow on the ground. Wish some of the trails, were better marked. There is the old foundation of a building there, just the rocks. Huge rocks, waterfalls and pools.

so pretty down by the river... but people, please clean up after yourself.. it's sad...

Hiked it , liked it. one of my go to hikes when you just need to get out in any season. Take the blue out of the parking lot and follow past the lake, continue on blue up the "stairs ", to the north parking area. Going back south, take the orange to the yellow on the backside of the lake. Yellow gives nice views of the valley below. 7 miles in four hours with time for enjoying the park.

Lots of open areas with great views! Climb was on the easy side of moderate, but still on good rocky terrain for most of the loop. Very easy to go the wrong way the first mile or two, so heads up.

Nice, well traveled trail, clean and easy to follow. Very steep incline in the beginning which leads me to believe why it is marked moderately hard. A lot of people with dogs off the leash so it would be hard for birding but otherwise a great day hike.

great day out. we took out time and did almost eight miles. nice scenery.

Great hike. Started at West Lane entrance. Went left at fork and took Blue/Red trail to Blue trail. Nice scenes. Great peak. Took Blue up to Blue/Yellow and cut back across East to starting point. AllTrails said we hiked 4.3 miles and burned 1431 calories. NICE. Definitely got a great workout. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back and do full loop.

A really awesome trail with great views. It would certainly be a 5 star review if the trails were marked better. Very easy to get lost. I have The AllTrails Pro and it bailed us out a couple of times.

Good hike, 5 miles and back in the rain

Great a trail! Just make sure you where proper shoes. Fairly easy trail to walk with proper footware. Trail markers can be a little confusing so pay attention, lots of little side trials.

very nice trail. lots of parking at the historic bridge, but no restrooms. the blue trail is extremely well marked. be sure to take the red/blue spur trail to the waterfall. did the entire north and south loop in 4 hours, with a half hour lunch at the pond. north loop is slightly up hill, but not excessive. of the south loop on the way back descends nicely.

such a beautiful spot I liked it a lot minus the dirty diapers in the trash scattered about from assholes who don't know how to pick up from themselves it could be a very lovely place I would not bring small children no strollers no dogs that's my opinion but a very awesome Place minus the trash

Is this actually 9m?? I am struggling to see more than 6

Quite a picturesque hike with plenty of views, but difficult to follow the trail markers, and most of the maps along trail heads are missing.

Just beautiful.

I'm sure the trail(s) are incredible. But with ZERO trail markers, I can't tell you. The trail map at the park is a piece of wood wolith no markings at all. Walked roadways for an hour and saw nothing other than the same cars and people apparently looking for the same thing.

Is there such a fee to walk $5 when it use to be free.
I'm not impressed what so ever.

I did this hike with a friend for the first time and really got an intense workout. Such beautiful views overlooking the reservoir. Some rocky and steep inclines and we ended up a bit lost until we used our handy dandy map offered with this app to guide us back. We hiked a good 3+ hours and felt invigorated.

for the casual hiker it's a bit harder but worth the workout.

beautiful trail! the view at the top is the best. my great Dane loves it as well

Beautiful area and really nice trail. If you walk off the path a bit you can find some great and safe cliff jumping areas, very beautiful views too!

This was my first Solo hike and first hike I have done in about 8 years, it was easy enough for me. The trail was clean and clearly marked. The markers were clear and easy to read as long as you knew what you were looking for (make sure to Google how trail markers work if you are new). The terrain was mostly easy, there were a few parts that you had to climb up or down some rocks but nothing strenuous. it is a bit rocky in some spots but I was fine in a pair of all terrain shoes.

Super cool hike, with numerous blazes and trails throughout to make it easier or harder for what you may prefer. Castle Craig is unique to see, but the Blue Blaze trail offers some cool scenes of the reservoir.

Awesome place to relax and see the view. I drove up and on top is amazing. It overlook hubbard park and you can see i691 alot of green that is the best part check it out https://youtu.be/kyc615ImddE

My husband and I love this area for hiking. It is utterly beautiful here. You can really get a great workout while seeing nature at its best. On the last stretch back to your vehicle is a bit steep which gives you that final burn, but if inexperienced make sure you leave a bit of steam for it.

Beautiful views of the falls and real easy.

I am a beginner hiker and was recommended this trail by a friend that does it often-he gave me great directions. I wanted to have a bit of a challenge without the anxiety, and this trail was perfect. As long as you have a plan going in and pay attention to the very well marked trail, you will have an awesome experience and feel very accomplished at the end. I took blue/red to blue/yellow to blue/ and picked blue/red back to the opening. Stopped to have lunch on the summit right after I picked up the blue trail. Was still done in about 3 hours.
