Trail Running Map

Great, moderate trail. Was a rainy day but the trees managed to shield us from most of the rain. Very pretty and a bit of a butt burner for these Florida hikers.

Excellent place to take my dog off leash. There are no signs at the trailhead stating that dogs must be on leash. I also checked their webpage and dogs are in fact allowed off leash. Be aware that you will be meeting off leash dogs when you go here. Trails are well maintained, clean, and signed well.

I hiked the Westwood Shore Trail, next time I will take the trail to the lake, so many possibilities! I ran into to some nice people along the trail! There was a good windy climb down to the beach, but it was worth it!

Was a beautiful hike! It wasn't as easy to get down to the waterfall with my dogs as I had assumed it would be but otherwise it was a gorgeous hike and a pretty little waterfall! :)

Stumbled across this trail on my way home while feeling a bit grumpy, and this trail turned my day right around. Definitely feels like you get transported to another place in those woods.

LOST LG PHONE. TEAL AND PURPLE CASE. 360 551-7039 if found.

Beautiful hike! We went in early December. It was chilly and a little muddy, but still very enjoyable. The sound of running water was all along the trail. I went with my 11 and 7 year old daughters who handled it very well. We took the short, steep uphill at the beginning of the hike and enjoyed a long, leisurely downhill as our reward. Definitely plan to do this again!

This is a very enjoyable place to walk in the woods. interesting flora and fauna to take note of a few nice view points of the Hood Canal. We heard eagles flying above us.

This is a well maintained trail in a naturally beautiful area. It is a bit of a drive to get back into the lake, but very well worth the drive.

This is a trail I will do again.

Decent little walk through the woods. The stump house is pretty cool, the trail is basically a road though.

The trail was a little muddy in spots but otherwise in good shape. We went right and took the challenge of going up hill for the first mile and coasting down. We started around 8:15am and only ran into other people at the end of our walk. There is bathrooms at the trailhead. A discovery pass is required for parking. Enjoyable hike!

FR 2480 was closed with gate and sign 4.5 miles in. Make sure you call ahead to see if open.

Just putting 3 star to be able to leave a comment.

Short, rigorous hike up. Worth it though as there are beautiful views at the top.

Nice hike with good view!

It is closed for restoration. You don't know that until you get here.

Not overly impressed by this easy hike. For a “popular” trail it was pretty poorly marked and it’s really just a short loop through the forest (the 2nd half is paved). The bridge is kind of cool from my engineering standpoint, but otherwise there are much better trails that offer better views in the area so I wouldn’t really recommend this one.

Beautiful and easy family hike. Make sure you check the stomp house!

Beautiful place to both hunt and just walk/run around. It's very easy-going to maneuver through for both experienced and inexperienced folk and a place I always enjoy visiting.

This was a great hike. Well maintained. Disappointed about the fog but an added bonus to have the ability to drive to see the view! Fog burned off on the way down, so we drove over and enjoyed the scenery!

Lovely, well maintained trail easy enough for all levels including beginners. It follows a river. If the lovely couple who graciously loaned me her shoes and his socks because I left my boots at home see this, please contact me so I can return your things. You took down my number but would not give me yours. You live in the Olalla area. I am an honest person and want to return your boots and socks.

Pretty clear - just a couple of small trees down - a little wet, not muddy - nice trail

nice hike out past a lake with many animal's, bring a camera and watch the animals come out

went and saw the tin mine and was well worth the hike

well kept trails in a nice area

went here with my dog seeing as it shows 2.1 mile trail, the trail is a lot of road walking and little actual trail. if you have discover pass or america the beautiful pass its worth it but if not don't waste the $10 for a 15 minute hike

My husband, dog and I enjoyed this trail today. A few cars at the trail head when we arrived at 11:00. Beautiful walk through the woods, high above the river for most of the way. There are two bridges crossing the river, at the second one you're able to get down to the river and there's a nice spot to enjoy lunch and for the dog to swim. We didn't go all the way to the Notch Pass junction, but I think it's just a few minutes beyond the second bridge. More people coming up the trail when we headed down, and most of them had dogs. Very enjoyable, not difficult, day hike!

Hiked the trail today and it was an absolutely beautiful day. Trail was in great condition and was a nice moderate level. Would highly recommend.

Intense elevation gain but a good length and the views are beautiful. Saw lots of dogs!
