This trail was beautiful, well maintained and a relatively easy hike with kids. The lake at the end is a perfect spot to relax before looping back.

This is a fun trail to go on with kids. No climbing involved and is very easy relaxed hike. We found wild garlic growing and this trail is awesome if you start at the North Boulder Recreation Center and circle all the way back. There are places to dip your toes in the water but we need to come when the sun is up otherwise it can get cold

Don’t make the dummy mistake that I did and pay an entrance fee! Half the “trail” is a back dirt road, with little to no shoulder to walk on, the other half is trail, with lots of smaller trails that allow you to wander. Worth a visit, definitely a decent distance walk. Lots of prairie dogs and wild flowers along the way!

much better alternative to the classic Mt Sanitas route! stood and watched hummingbirds buzzing around in the first meadow!!

Very pretty. Easy hike. Would be very enjoyable with a bike. Lots of pretty flowers. Bring bug spray. Lots of mosquitos and biting bugs. I was not prepared.

The hike was lovely. Well-maintained trail. Lake at the end of the trail was gorgeous. I saw a moose up close! I went on a Tuesday evening and saw 5-6 other people. Out and back took me about 40 mins total. Worth it!

Short little simple walk to a small pond. Very crowded, tons of dogs and kids at the top.

This is a nice flat trail, good for an easy-going hike or trail run. Some of the nice features of this trail include easy access to South Boulder Creek along most of the trail, views of the Flatirons, and wildflowers in the summer. On a Sunday afternoon on a nice summer day, it wasn't terribly crowded. A couple of remarks about the trail's description - I would say that it doesn't really feature a lake, the Baseline Reservoir is not easily viewed, although there are a couple of small ponds near the East Boulder Community Center. Secondly, this is mostly an out and back trail, the only loop is around the Community Center ponds.

I've only used the bike trails but it's a good time. If I'm bored on a Saturday afternoon it's a good way to work up a sweat by biking on the trails.

Took my 3yr old and he loved it!! Easy and not super long and beautiful views!

Really easy trail with lots of opportunities to see amazing birds. Not much shade and the lake Ayer is pretty low.

About half the loop is trail and the other half is dirt road. Only run this loop clockwise or you will have to pay an entrance fee at the marina; clockwise you enter the marina from the rear where there is no gate. Only recommended if you just need a run and don’t want to go far. There are so many better options within 10-15 mins of here.

This is a really nice trail if you're looking for a relaxing walk or hike. Paved and gravel paths are often used by cyclists, but a dirt path runs along a creek for walkers and trail runners. It's a popular trail for families with young kids or people with their dogs, but it never feels overly crowded. In spite of being on the east side of town, you still get nice views of the Flatirons along the way. The parking lot on Baseline is pretty small and fills up quickly, but if you park at the East Boulder Rec/Community Center, you can connect to the Bobolink Trail.

Tons of off leash dogs. Pretty trail otherwise.

A pleasant, easy hike. We went in July and there were wildflowers and beautiful groves of birches. Neither the lake nor views are spectacular compared to other vistas, but it is still lovely to access nature so quickly from downtown.

We trekked with kids. Trail isn’t stroller friendly the entire way. Had a few two person lifts up and down short rocky stretches. The lake is a great reward for kids.

The trail and lake are fairly exposed and I don’t know that I’d tackle this hike on a hot afternoon.

Great history behind this area and a nice walk on our way out of Denver

Good early morning walk. Enjoyed the flowers and views. Easy but relaxing.

Fairly easy hike; well marked and well worn. Good views of Boulder from the top. Surprisingly crowded for a rainy day.

We live nearby, and I walk my dog here multiple times a week. Great dog park, easy trail with great views. Lots and lots of bikers, and right near housing but still a great place for a walk. You can either walk a mile loop or the full 3.3 miles.

They should call this dead tree fly trail. most of trail was reasonable as we were covered in flys the whole trail bothering us. scenes were tragic with tons of dead trees cut down, some blocking the trail. maybe after a good fire and 6 years and some maintenance this will be a good trail.

Moderate switchback trail goes up to Mount Sanitas...Beautiful views of Indian Peaks...note: no dogs allowed ($100 fine)

Great couple hour, fairly easy, hike. Very gradual inclines. Close to town yet secluded and tucked away. Parking at the base. Quite the mix of vegetation and terrain makes for a very enjoyable hike. Quiet warm in the heat of the day, suggest an earlier start. Good trail for a solo hike.

The Lake offers very beautiful scenic views, several species of birds and wildflowers, and great fishing (catch and release only). The trail is great for small families (no strollers) and provides a lot of great spots for photography. The floating bridge is a total highlight!

Easy flat trail. Spotted a few eagles and other wildlife. Not crowded and an enjoyable ride.

Beautiful view of Boulder valley and there is a lot shade from tree when it is a hot sunny day. Enjoy your hiking

We arrived at 8:40 am, parking spots available. got back down at 10:30 am.

Pretty easy trail up, very shaded and great views. Make sure you go up past the LLT summit to the Mount Sanitas summit, only about 5 minutes more.

Easy. Beautiful hike to a gorgeous lake. Clear waters. Couple different spots to reach the water if you are willing to walk/cross some streams. Dog friendly. Can get busy. Go early or during the week.

My wife and I just got done hiking this trail. We are from Kansas, so it doesn't take much to flip our fancy. This trail was very pretty, added a touch of difficulty to us new hikers. Beautiful views of the mountains and a few good looks at mountain streams. I would definately do this hike again!

Very easy trail. Not sure how but I got lost into a private property LOL
It is my very first trail!!
