Beautiful easy hike. Kid friendly
tired to make some new trail connections. no luck, had to double back
Great trail with beautiful scenery at every moment.
Icy. Make sure your shoes have good traction. View from the top is great. Nice short snowy hike
Very customizable. Could've taken many side trails and gone forever.
Easy hike with the kids age 3-7
I absolutely love this hike. it's not very difficult but there's a beautiful tunnel of trees, then you walk in the stand for a bit around a cliff, and the payoff at the end is elephant seals on their own Beach.
Bring sandals cuz ya cant escape the water.
It was decent hike, not challenging for us but there are benches almost every 250 steps or so up near the camp grounds. I didn’t take many pictures but liked the different landscapes we were able to hike through.
This trail has a little bit of everything! We enjoyed this for an easy Sunday morning walk. You’ll need to check the tide for the beach portion
Fantastic trail!! It had over a foot of snow! We had microspikes on so it was fine. The trailhead was clearly marked and the trail is easy to follow in the snow from all of the foot traffic. Parking was a bit difficult to find. We were there on Sunday 2/14 and a lot of people were there to play in the snow. A ranger was telling people they would get towed if they parked parallel alongside the road. He said you can only park in turnouts completely off the road. Chains were required unless you had snow tires and 4 wheel drive. There are cute numbered sign posts along the trail with bear tracks on them.
Good snowy hike with our snow shoes. We went off trail a few times but always found our way back on to it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there was a lot of noise from the road for the last third of the trail.
Beautiful trail .. level easy and well marked!
busy bike path, beautiful views
No beach access for dogs.
Mountain Bike to the top. Extremely steep and difficult. My brakes got fried on the way down... Beautiful views.
Steps were fun!
PICK UP YOUR TRASH. TCame here two years ago and it was maintained by a few people. When I got there it was crowded and I saw trash. The water also seemed way less that what I remember. Just turned around and left. If you can’t keep these places clean you don’t deserve to experience them. Pack it in and pack it out. If you find trash bring it with you. Do service. CLOTHING OPTIONAL - it’s been like that for years chill out. Plus when people bring cloths they leave they underwear lying around.
Solitude + giant trees
