Parking lot was not super large, recommend getting there early. This was almost more of a scenic lookout than a hike. Took about 10 minutes to walk down and 10 to walk back. Lots of bathrooms which were pretty well maintained. Great stop during our long day drive.

Super easy trail.

Great simple hike if your looking for an enjoyable adventure. Beautiful small canyon to explore

Pretty easy hike to see something that I have only seen in many photos. Very beautiful.

The guides kinda just rush you through. The canyon is gorgeous but I didn't get to really take it in.

Wonderful winter hike. spikes are perfect right now. We saw a moose on Thursday.

short hike very beautiful place a lot of people I enjoyed

Extremely easy trail, pretty flat, you can wear flip flops even (I did). The view is outstanding once you get there, you’ll definitely wanna bring your camera! But beware the vertigo

Very busy over the Christmas break and somewhat challenging to access if you didn’t arrive early enough to park in the small parking lot. Very much enjoyed the views but did not enjoy the overcrowded viewpoint and trail.

One of those scenes that feel super fake. It's such a pretty sight!

As a note, please don't be one of those people that just leave your garbage in the parking lot. It looked so horrible in the parking lot.

We were very disappointed- we drove all the way only to discover that entry is limited only to guided tours and they were all sold out a few days ahead. I wish the trail description had mentioned this very important point.

So beautiful. Go at sunset for amazing colors reflected on to the canyon walls. There are a TON of tourists but if you move out to either side you can have some time to yourself. A must see in page.

Antelope Canyon was formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding through the northern area of Arizona. Rainwater runs into the basin above the slot canyons, picking up speed and sand as it rushes into the narrow passageways. Over time the passageways have eroded away, making the corridors deeper and smoothing hard edges to form characteristic flowing shapes in the rock. The slot canyons are a popular location for photographers and sightseers and are accessible with Navajo guides only and also are a healthy source of business for the Navajo Nation as well.

Upon entering “the slots” you know you’re in for a unique experience. Weaving along twisting tunnels, the intense beams of sunlight catch your attention first. But as your eyes adjust, a different world is apparent… shadowed areas open up to reveal swirling walls carved out by years of erosive activity. Then more tunnels and more light beams… taking you into a world where your imagination prevails. Truly a mesmerizing experience... and this surrealistic pleasure is located just below the Earth’s surface!
A must-see for all curious adventurers.

It's a sandy incline up to the top, but there is a convenient gazebo along the way, if needed. Be careful when you arrive as there are no barriers on the rim of the overlook. However the views of the winding Colorado River 1000 ft. below are breathtaking!

Too many tourist.

This was amazing! It is $50 per person but totally worth the views. The tour guide is extremely helpful with taking pictures as well! A must see!!

Very short hike in. Visited in the off season, and went for the sunset. It was still very busy, so get there well in advance. Take a blanket so you can sit along the edge and hang out.

For those of you who do not know, Tours must be booked to do this! Would recommend going in the summer and when the sun is in the middle of the sky, I went in the fall and the light rays were not as great (as told by our guide). Very busy, but worth seeing.

Oct 6 2018- we started at about 650 am. Parking was fine. It was a short easy hike with lots of other people. Beautiful scenery and views of horseshoe bend. We were done in a little under an hour, with time for lots of pictures.

I did lower antelope canyon, as the light rays don't come through the upper antelope canyon in the winter so I didn't think the upper would be worth the money. The lower antelope canyon is cheaper and it was great to visit. Go on first tour with Dixie Ellis or last tour with Ken's. Nice short walk. The garden is pretty but we also walked up the viewpoint along this trail which gave really nice views of the lake. No toliets at trail head. Was less than 10 people doing walk but was mid-November

Short sandy walk over to horseshoe bend. Was very busy but a beautiful thing to see. Walk over from car park is about 10 minutes. Lots of parking and toilets at the trailhead. If you want to miss the crowds definitely head-over at sunrise/early morning. Also beware rumour is they are going to start charging $25 per person to go see horeshoe bend so get there fast before that happens

It was a pleasant hike. Parking is limited but easy to spot the entrance right off of the road. The hanging gardens aren't worth a detour.

Beautiful and easy hike. Definitely wear closed toe shoes as there are a lot of rocks on the trail. If possible, try to do the hike on a weekday. The parking is very limited. I hiked this trail on a Wednesday in September. Tons of hikers even though it was a week day. I tried again on Thanksgiving and got stuck in traffic trying to get to the parking lot. I could see a nearly continous line of hikers from 0.25 miles away from the entrance.

Short hike to amazing views, we spent a couple hours here enjoying the scenery. Horseshoe Bend is a must see, but pretty busy spot.

This was a nice hike. Nothing really technical about it other than a few river crossings. The water was low for us and never got above our chins. The trail is hard to follow at times, but you can’t get lost. There is always a wall on either side. We actually found that if you start walking toward one wall or the other you may cross about 5 trails. At the turn around point we decided to climb one of the cliffs for a nice view. We also did some side trips up a couple of the washes that were really neat. Overall, we logged 7 miles. Easy hike even for a beginner, just be prepared to get your feet wet.
