Did this hike with my wife on Saturday morning around 930am. Should’ve left earlier because it got blistering hot on the way down. Also, asthma suffers beware! With the wildfire smoke so dense I’ve never felt my self literally gasping for air towards the top. I recommend if you are sensitive to this bad air right now, stay away. Other than that, lots of little lizards looking for bugs on the trail. Lots of bugs at the top. Can’t wait till the smoke clears so we can hike this one again and enjoy the views!

My family would tell you I am obsessed with this hike. Beautiful trail, flowers in early summer. Just enough alternation of elevation and then some levelling out to feel like a good bit of interval cardio. It does get more difficult towards the end, but oh so worth it. I tended to hike in the afternoon, so the temperatures were lovely, and shade was about 50/50. It took me 2 hours from the freeway to reach the peak. Views at the peak are gorgeous. Half of the view you can gaze over Salt Lake, the other half you can look over Emmigration and Wasatch canyons while feeling that you're miles from the city.

A hard hike, quick elevation gain with many scrambles! But totally worth the challenge! Very rewarding and we saw goats!!

Very good trail quality, but lots and lots of bees. Very little shade.

Great short but steep hike! Perhaps not the most scenic by comparison to its southerly bigger siblings, however Mt. Wire is an awesome experience unto its own. Great views of northern Salt Lake. Be sure to climb the ladder at the top for even better views!

Great trail with amazing views. For the time and distance, the top is very worth it!

I did this about 3 years ago and there was some snow on the alpine section. This time, of course, no snow, so I was able to see more of what the landscape looks like. I had hoped to escape the smoke, but even the high Uintahs had smoke. A great, short, easy hike with some precarious-looking edges for those of us who are afraid of heights. Too many stupid-looking cairns at the top.

Heard the rattle near the top! Hike had pretty even elevation gains and was nicely shaded below, lots of exposure second half. Amazing 360 degree views from the top but the wildfire smoke was a lil damper. Started at 7am on a Friday and only saw a handful of people.

This was my first hike to the summit of a mountain and I agree it is good for a beginner! I would not consider it hard or difficult. Definitely moderate. I only had to pause briefly closer to the top because of the oxygen level I suppose. Some parts were a little steep but much of it was very easy to walk. Hiking sticks are a huge help. Beautiful views at the top!

My first summit! Did this one back in 2012, but it was what would become the first of many loved climbs. :-)

Great views. Brought my Huskies with me.

We arrived at 9am on a Tuesday and there were 4 cars in the lot. After a very pleasant 2 mile hike we arrived at the springs and had them to ourselves for 45 minutes. That is all the time we needed due to persistent horse flies. The lowest pool felt like a 92f hot tub. It was most splendid and strange to have a hot waterfall jet falling on my back. The hike in and out is very nice due to the flowing stream. We were all very glad we took this amazing hike.

Great trail. Easy and fun! Go early, trail gets busy as the day goes on but we had the springs to ourselves before noon. Stop at the first pool you see! It has a mini waterfall and it’s the best of the pools. Once it’s filled, you won’t be getting in. Bring water shoes and bug spray! Horseflies are bad! Great natural hot springs, it’s a sight to see!

Great hike with the most stunning views we’ve seen yet. We took our 4, 8, and 10 yr old kids and they did great. Our little guy walked the whole way - loved climbing the rocks. The heights were a little scary toward the top, but well worth the views. Our gps said it was a little over 2 miles to the top and the round trip took us about 3 hours, but we were taking our time with the kids. Highly recommend.

This is a shot in the dark... my cell phone fell out of my backpack today . If someone stumbles upon an iphone 7 with a gold glitter case, a message will appear who to call once charged. Likely place it fell: towards the top of the map, there's a spot on the trail that takes a sharp right then turns left again making a Z. Instead of taking that sharp right I veered to the left into a sandy/rocky area for a bit before realizing I was off trail. We think it fell somewhere in there. As for my review... moderately strenuous hike with incredible views! (disappointed to have had to turn around early today!)

Personally much harder and steeper than I expected for a trail that AllTrails rates as “moderate”. That said, the views from the summit were amazing! Hiking sticks are highly recommended, especially for the way down.

The wildflower did bloom early this year. However, if you explore some of the shady area by the river there are still some beautiful flowers in bloom. Albion basin is always beautiful no matter the season. However, on the weekends during the summer it does get a little crowded.

loved the water

I just did this one this morning. The views at the top are amazing!

Long but easy hike into the springs. Definitely worth the trip. The springs are beautiful and relaxing. Take bug spray!! Horse flies were the size of my fiancé and not as nice :)

The springs are varying in temperature. The bottom spring, the first “pool” you come to is like a nice hot tub temperature. The further up the path you go the hotter they get. Too hot to stay in.

All in all worth the trip!

Fun but packed in the summer. The trick is to go in the fall or early winter. Snow scares the crowds away.

Good hike great views.

good intense walk

Loved it! The hike was certainly moderately inclined throughout. I don’t think any parts were steeper than any others. The trail was nice, soft dirt, but not loose dirt. Not a lot of rocks. The views as you climb get better and better. The peak is magnificent. 360 degree high-level views as far as your eye can see. The trail is mostly shaded in the beginning and much less so as you get nearer to the peak. No nearby water for refills, so bring plenty. We did this hike around noon Sunday and there were very few people on the trail. Highly recommend!

My 8 year old son loved climbing through the waterfall to the upper falls. I thought this hike would be too crowded to be much fun, but it was actually pretty awesome despite all the people at the bottom.

One of the best hikes in Uinta mounatins! It could be a bit steep but manageable. To anyone who says it’s a really difficult hike, then maybe you should reconsider since a 3yo and 55yo was able to make it or you’ll miss the amazing views up there.

Fun

Easy getting to the falls. A little more difficult if you climb up the face of the falls to where the water is coming off the mountain, but still doable. great adventure for kids!

Absolutely beautiful and easy to do. Be ready to deal with horse flies-they hurt when they bite! Besides that, this trail was beautiful. There were quite a few people here. Get there before 9:30 for good parking. Keep in mind that the sign for the parking lot is only visible when you come from one direction. We passed it and had to ask for directions to get there. There is a lot of shade on the trail which was really nice.

Everyone says this is 1.3 to the top but the whole trip was logged in my gps as 5.2 and it definitely took WAY longer than we thought it would to actually summit. We also went slow since we had 2 dogs with us, one of which was smaller, but either we did something wrong or this isn't accurate. Or maybe they only count it as making it to the first piece before the rock scrambling starts. To actually summit, i believe this to be much longer, so just wanted to post this in case it helps others. We never would have brought our little dog if we had known how long it was. But all that being said, the views are beautiful from the top.
