Fun short hike! Brought my puppy to explore the outdoors and socialize him with kids! It was good to see so many kids out with parents!

Short, easy hike with beautiful views the entire way. the only downside was the crowds of people but it was worth it to see the waterfall.

A easy one but, get early, after 9 or 10am is heavy traffic. Is beatiful and couple really nice spots!

Beautiful hike with impressive views to the valley on the way up. Almost all of the hike is under heavy growth, so very pleasant and fragrant. Drastically insufficient parking, though the picnic area across the highway has a fair amount more. The lake is more impressive than I think most people expect it to be. It’s small but in a dramatic setting. Nice access to the shore for swimming. Possibly among the most rugged trails around, resembling a stream bed more than a trail for long stretches, especially the third quarter of the hike up, or so. Quite fatiguing especially on the way down, where each step is fairly calculated. Not a place for solitude, but quite lovely.

Magnificent old growth, gnarly beauties all along the trail, peekaboo waterfalls and many rivulet crossings even this dry season
Must go round the lake to appreciate the grand scale of Pilchuck backdrop with ice caves, giant talus boulders, and views across the lake
Sturdy shoes needed to traverse rugged, rocky stretches

This was a very easy hike, parking was easy to find and the waterfall was gorgeous during the summer. I’d recommend going during the week when it is less crowded. Regardless, it was a great experience!

Beautiful hike Sept 2. We got an early start and it was not too crowded. Met lots of people coming up on our way down. The early start was well worth it.

Been there on 2018/06/30 Saturday. Very easy river side walk. Has Parking lot. I was there at around 7:30, I was the first one in the parking lot. Beautiful falls and access to all the way to the waterfalls. Camping available near by. Best hike for kids and people new to hiking. This wont burn calories much. It is more of leisure walk than hike . I would go there again but as leisure activity than hiking.

Two hours to the top, an hour coming down. Gorgeous views. Hike is very gradual going up- it’s a great hike all around! Can be slippery. Shoes with good grip necessary.

Great trail for children. We arrived at 8:30 am and only encountered 4 other couples. When we left around 10:20 there were cars parked all of the way to the camping area.

This place is beautiful, did it 2 times. During the summer bring bug spray, once you get to the lake- they wont leave you alone. Sunscreen is needed as well, there are areas exposed you to sun.

I've hiked most of Tiger Mountain. There are a lot better hikes in the Pacific Northwest.

Beautiful scenery! An easy & fun hike to do!

great hike fairly easy, if you dont take a young child that u have to carry, super rocky for kids younger than 7yr. we took or 3yrs old she did fine on the steps but the up hill is mostly rocky which my husband had to put her in the hiking back pack. which made it difficult to try to keep balance on some areas that had sharp rocky terrain

Moderate hike, left early enough to beat the crowd. Bring enough food and water to sit and enjoy the view. Swimming was a refreshing treat, bring a suit. Trail was easy enough to tote a paddle board up.

Absolutely beautiful! Went there on a Friday and parking lot was very open around 9:30 am. Kid friendly.

8/23/18 (Thursday) Great hike. Started about 9:45AM & approximately 8 people before us. We were still in quite a bit of smoke for most of the climb up. Great workout. My son (16 yrs) wished he would have brought an additional tshirt. Soaked from sweat. Arrived at the lake within 2 hours. The smoke was just beginning to clear. Beautiful scenery. Able to see the snow and an ice cave (did not hike up to it; obviously dangerous) but it was beautiful for pictures. I would recommend it. I would like to hike it again in the clear blue skies.

We hiked into Fisher Lake for a few days. The bugs were having a great time feasting on us. The Tonga Ridge trail was fairly crowded, but we had Fisher Lake mostly to ourselves. Side trips to the Ptarmigan and Jewel Lakes made for a little adventure in bushwhacking and route-finding.

The Tonga Ridge trail is fairly easy all the way up to Sawyer Pass, and has some nice views off to the south. The last portion, from Sawyer Pass to Fisher Lake, takes some effort, as it climbs straight up a drainage and over a high saddle, then drops straight back down to the lake.

We saw very little wildlife, other than the brook trout teeming in the lake.

We hiked during the week and there was light traffic on the way up but on the way down there was increasingly more traffic. The hike is gorgeous and Lake 22 is picture perfect! This was our first hike in WA and it didn’t disappoint.

I camped out on the lake campsite two nights on Aug-10 -11. During the day I hiked to Jay Lake and surroundings, in my way back in the evening I saw a small bear (cub) very close to the bridge that leads to my site. I never saw the mother. Just in case anyone is hiking there during week days this season, be aware. And I recommend you carry a pepper spray for deterrent just in case. Over all it is an awesome hike and camping site is excellent with a picnic table, and good trees to hang your food.

Beautiful hike, crowded at 7am. Walked it with our cat, don’t forget your discovery pass! There is also a pull off on the road immediately before the trail parking lot (if coming west from Seattle) that saves you about a mile of hiking.

$5 permit needed for parking. No issues finding parking at 4pm. Such a fun hike given variety of nature such as little creeks or a fallen tree blocking the path. Best of all is the reward of a beautiful lake at the top!

Easy with kids! Wish we had packed a picnic!

Great trail to the waterfall. Show up early and it's not bad.

Much more enjoyable than the zoo at Snoqualmie Falls.

Nice easy to get to hike. A good amount of people and dogs however on a Thursday morning. Still very enjoyable.

Awesome trail, but try to avoid it on weekends. It is literally the interstate of hikes.

Easy hike, tons of places to take the kids to play in the water. Awesome waterfall. Definitely a must see!

Totally too easy of a “hike” but very beautiful with the river and falls!

We loved the hike and would recommend it to others. But we have a few words of caution. Though very beautiful, the bluffs and scenery were somewhat difficult to see due to so much smoke in the air from fires. Afterwards, I asked about the smoke at the nearby ranger station and the ranger did not know the origin of the fires causing the smoke. On our descent we ran into two families with kids aged about 4 to 10. The kids were struggling, especially through the rocky sections. I would hesitate to take young kids on this trail unless they're used to hiking a lot.
