My first ever summit! So much fun in the snow. Slid down on our butts for half of the way down

First hike ever! Did this back in 2014 and it was amazing!

One of my favorite trails thus far. It requires a good push as most of the trail is on an incline. The view from the top is incredibly spectacular and beyond worth the struggle towards the peak.

We are not avid hikers and we still managed to complete the trail close to an hour and a half. It is so worth it!!!

We wore crampons and wished we had brought poles as well. However, we were hiking on a fresh batch of snow so poles are probably not needed when the path is beat down.

The weather at the top is quite chilly. We encountered a swift wind as we left the tree line to reach the peak. Prepare accordingly!

Absolutely amazing 360degree views from the peak! Great hike!!

A very rewarding hike with a stunning view of Ha Ling and Canmore. difficult but worth it. Ice cleats recommend as the scramble is still quite slippery

Always love this hike in the fall but this was the first winter attempt and it was stunning. Lots of elevation over a short distance but the trail is well kept and easy to follow due to its popularity.

We had a south western wind so it got a bit unpleasant out of the treeline but it’s not far from the treeline to the peak. The winds made it so cold up there my iphone wouldn’t work, sapped the battery in about 2 minutes of photos. I’d recommend tech gloves, face masks and a charger pack to anyone else looking for some great shots at the top.

We wore spikes (small ones) and used poles and that was plenty of grip and stability. Otherwise it was a fantastic sunny day and a beauty of a mountain.

nice and short hike for our first in Banff, great views along the way and nothing difficult to encounter on the way. cleats made a huge difference because the packed snow trail was a bit slippery without them.

Trust the ratings when it says this trail is hard. There was a lot of scramble to get to the summit, and although we brought our dog, he could not make it to the summit, with fear he would cut the pads of his paws. I recommend bringing back up socks for the decent once you pass the snow.

This trail has no markers or set paths, so be very cautious you don't get turned around on the way down.

Goat Pond is a short drive past the start point for some easy sight seeing.

Easy, and pretty.

Good hike to do. Snow is packed for almost the entire way except the highest part where the wind blows and created some drifting.

Great little hike with fantastic views! Short & easy, and seems to be a popular trail as there were lots of people.

A nice winter hike with or without crampons. Going counterclockwise gave us a nice view on the return, and there are a couple of side paths you can take up to higher ground to see a bit more. There's a big flow of ice on one part of the trail but it's easy enough to get around.

Such a rewarding hike.

Sunny but a bit cold at the top with the wind.
Challenging hike because of the snow, the last 200 meters are tricky.
Clits not essential but recommended.
Awesome views as soon as you leave the forest.

Great day for it! Lots of snow on the ground

Great views a
on the return

Loved this hike! We didn't summit and opted to visit the tiny hot springs instead. Will definitely be returning.

very challenging but once you get up there it is all worth the climb!

Great climb even with snow

Really nice trail, with nice views of the Elbow river valley. Trail was a bit icy today; but, not a real problem with ice cleats. Will definitely check it out again during the summer hiking season. Would also be a nice snowshoeing trail once the snow returns.

Hiked from Lake Moraine over Sentinel Pass all the way to Lake Louise. Beautiful but long. Saw wolverines and heard glaciers calving. Highly recommended.

Good, steep hike. 3 hours to summit and around 2.5 to decent. the views were decent.

Great switchbacks and views!

Awsome Hike! - Complete January 21, 2018
Very cold at the top but worth it for the veiws! Easily do-able with crampons! To windy to walk along the ridge but will be back in the summer!

Beautiful views of Banff and a great little hike to get your heart pumping, very low time commitment required so you can plan multiple activities in a day and still get a good hike in!

Strenuous but worth it, once you get through the switchbacks there’s a nice level plain with stunning views of the 10 peaks

Beautiful vistas, quite a workout bring your walking poles

Love this hike. Stunning views from the top with a picnic table to have your lunch. You can also sign a visitors book. Has some steep parts but overall a great hike.

was going to snowshoe but the trail is pretty packed down. We went up the hill to the ridge and it was super icy due to the melting and freezing so bring spikes. super easy trail and done it on 2.5 hrs. perfect for when you have a limited amount of time (plus it was a really short drive from Shawnessy in Calgary

Short hike, great work out due to long hill. Nice way to spend few hours away from the city. Can get very busy. Defiantly need spikes on the ridge.
