Very easy hike. We went around sunset and it was perfect conditions. A little chilly out (~32 in the shade) so the trail was pretty empty. There were a few areas that could have been marked clearer. There weren’t as many lake views as I would have hoped, but would definitely return with my pooch.

Snow is melting so it is a bit muddy in some spots. But overall a nice hike before lunch, lots of good views.

Nice hiking trail. Kid friendly and pet friendly. There was plenty of people walking and most were very friendly. will go again in the spring.

This was a cool mid day hike. Bit of a cold breeze but you are exposed to the sun for a majority of the hike which kept my fiancé and I warm. Wasn’t expecting to see so much water during the hike to the falls so I guess I have the week long spurt of rain to thank for that. The waterfall was pumping and made for some great photos! I’ll upload one here but you can check em out on my IG: ShotzByPonz Anyways it was definitely worth it but be prepared to watch where you are stepping with the amount of rocks and glass on the ground if you are bringing a pet. We will for sure be coming back after the next rain storm!

So beautiful! It rained the whole time! Totally worth it! High 40s in temp great trails! Watch the little ones there are steep parts walking toward the falls! Wear shoes with good traction! Bring your camera (if not raining) and a lunch!

Good trail there’s parking as you come in and also past that up the road a bit. Keep hiking up the trail and you can see it just off to the right

This is a pretty easy hike it is kid friendly as well as dog friendly! It is super pretty has soo many tall trees as well as a river flowing down! Did get a little lost trying to find the heart but eventually found it when I saw a heart drawing with an arrow drawn on the dirt pointing to the direction! It was super fun definitely going back during summer to maybe get in the water!

Definately a place to check off the list & a unique site as the 2nd tallest waterfall in the NF, but go with expectations. This is NOT a hiker's hike. You will encounter grafitti, trash, sewage, loud human noises, partiers & the trail inexperienced (read: don't know trail ettiquette). While it's rated moderate for the rocks & a short hill, it's fairly easy. Kids & small dogs could make it.

Amazing view

Really enjoyed this trail. It’s paved for the first .2 miles to a lookout that offers a scope for color blinded people then it turns to dirt. The trail was really easy. When you get the the bluff, there is a little trail that takes you to more of a drop off so don’t be afraid to explore around the trees and foliage. It was super windy the day I went and I was nearly knocked over from how strong it was so be cautious on the rock. I went in the evening when the sun was setting and it was really beautiful.

Gotta find the sweet spot to take a photo worthy picture but it’s was a good hike!

Beautiful scenery. Trails weren’t hard. My family and I had a great day there and it’s our new favorite.

Spectacular scenery today! All the recent rains have made the waterfalls amazing. Trails are muddy and slippery but that is to be expected. I agree with the moderate rating. Lots of rocks and roots but the trail is well marked. Lower Greeter Falls with the spiral staircase and Blue Hole are not to be missed!

Very fun and interesting trail. Really cute waterfall and something really nice to see during the winter!

Great place to hike. what some people may not know, if you hike another half mile or so, you will run into another, HUGE HEART ROCK. I will post a pic of it. you will see my daughter in a red shirt.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that the hike becomes a little more difficult, with rocks, log crossings, branches, water streams etc.

It's not much of a hike. It's just a walk around the lake. It's pretty and easy for any age group including toddlers and pets.

Hike was great, trail was really easy.
Luckily there was a lot of areas with snow, areas to rest, areas to take good photos.
Good view of the south side of the lake, could see the mountain, which looked amazing with snow.

Stone Door is great and the views from the cliffs at the top are spectacular. Super easy walk from the parking lot to the Door...it's paved.

Great little
Hike! You have to go up and to the right to find the heart but its beautiful !

Beautiful. I personally think it’s tougher getting from mushroom rock down to the river than coming back up. It’s physically tough coming back up, but you need to watch your feet going down. Well worth it if your looking at this hike.

I have been wanting to do this hike for quite some time now, we got the chance to do it over the thanksgiving holiday, and when we got to the top my boyfriend proposed! This is a fun little hike with AMAZING views of Big Bear and the lake. Only compliant is it was very heavily trafficked, but it was a holiday weekend.

Incredible that this year-round waterfall is only 30 minutes away from the home I grew up in and didn't discover it until years after. This is a beautiful adventure on the mostly paved road. Getting to the lower section of the falls is a breeze, just follow the paved road up until you get to the first viewpoint of the falls then take the flat dirt path down to the lower section of the falls.

If you are up for a little bit of "canyoneering" you can bear right at the dirt road and head up the rocks to the upper levels of the falls. If you have never seen it or cannot see it, I got some sick drone footage of the waterfall in its entirety here:

Pretty trail.

Unfortunately, a ton of graffiti. Very rocky. Wonderful spot all year!

Nice trails and would be beautiful during the fall.

Nice and easy with the kids and dog. Really nice with the snow on the ground

Very short, but nice add on to other stone door hikes. Kids love to play here in the summer along the flat area below the fall.
