Fabulous afternoon hike, swam in 2 lakes and enjoyed the spectacular views.

Doesn’t get much better.

Evening hike up for epic wildflowers & eerie wildfire haze sunset- but remote wilderness summit experience completely ruined by fellow hikers using a drone circling summit ridge for over 30 minutes.
Inconsiderate of fellow trail users.
Don’t be a drone. Keep drones out of others wilderness experience.

My wife and I went up for a quick sunset hike got to the top and someone was flying a drone. It totally ruin are experience. Show some respect people !

With each up and down, each bend traversed, all were meet with soaring mountain peeks, beautiful rock formations and gorgeous lakes scattered through out.
Between the spectrum of beautiful colors, the diverse changes of landscape ....I don't have the right words.to describe. This hike needs to be only experienced.
Good day, great hike!

A fantastic hike with amazing views of Mt Baker and 3 pretty lakes. Many patches of snow remains at higher elevations, but totally doable in hiking boots. Pack plenty of water and snacks & enjoy!!

Hiked this on Aug 10. I would say it's an easy hike until you hit the boss creek towards the end. Took some courage to cross. Use water shoes and hiking poles to cross or hike up to the top of the creek and then cross. Once pass the fall, 10 min later you will see the amazing glacier. Be careful of loose rocks, that's the hard part of the trail.

Great experience... Black bear encounter 1/4 mi into the trail... loud rustle in the bushes above us 2 hikers... Bear looked straight at us for a second, veered away above trail...adrenaline pumping.

4th water crossing around noon time challenging... water very loud, fast, and good downward angle.

Fun hike! Brought my puppy! Unfortunately people need to pack out there dogs poo. No garbage which was nice. Lots of beautiful butterflies and flowers. Not much shade so hiking on an almost 90 degree day was a lil more challenging. I definitely would do this hike again.

Stunning views around every corner! My sister and I hiked on a foggy day which made for some amazing photos. The mountain run off made waterfalls all along the way. Towards the top, the wildflowers were popping out everywhere! It was gorgeous! Bring water proof shoes to cross the rapid streams! Trekking poles are also helpful.

Absolutely stunning . Trails can feel very narrow in the moments of high traffic but as long as everyone is respectful and responsible this trail is a breeze

Beautiful great views of Roosevelt glacier
Be prepared to get your feet wet

Loved this trail, did it with my 4 children and all but one said it was their favourite hike ever. How’s that for a win!

This hike has it all. Ice melt Rivers to cross, glaciers to see, and unreal views of the Cascades and Mt Baker. I highly recommend this one and will be hiking it again very soon!

Great Hike Fun crossing the creeks.
Saw a few Marmots

amazing hike and my little Chevy sonic hatchback made it up the forest road at 5 mph.

For the level of effort this is an easy hike with great views of Baker and nearby areas. Plenty of insects along the way so bring plenty of bug’s spray. No need for crampons as the snow is easily passable.

Beautiful hike! The trail has been well-groomed. The last creek crossing, past the climbers vs glacier view junction, was doable (you do need to walk in the water with a very strong current), but we knew the water level would be higher coming back. so we opted to go up to the climbers camp. Great choice! Although it was in-your-face steep, the wildflowers, snow waterfall runoff and cool breezes were spectacular! To top it off, we had fabulous views of the glacier. Lunch at the top; you got it, minimal annoying black flies :-)

Great hike! Views were incredible! Just be prepared for mosquitos and flies at the top....lots of them!

Trail is in great condition all the way up to the glacier. Road up is doable but would be slow going for cars with low clearance. Parking sucks with how popular this trail has become. Go early for sure!

Absolutely beautiful! We did have to trek through more snowy spots than we expected but it was so worth it! We Caught 3 Eastern Brook Trout in Iceberg lake but they were too small to keep.

Amazing!

In fog all the way up today but I still rate this hike at a 5. Lots of elevation gain in a short distance but the switchbacks made it easier. So did the fog since it was a lot cooler. Still snow at the top and lots of wildflowers. Marmot, grouse and chipmunk. I'm going to come back on a clear day for the views this hike is known for!

Fabulous even with clouds!

Incredible hike! Steady switchbacks all the way up but nothing too tough. The views are absolutely stunning the whole way. A little snow towards the top but definitely passable and the 360 views at the top are breathtaking.. Road up to the trail head is long and rough, but worth it.

Great hike. Amazing views the entire way.

July 12th, 2018: Excellent hike! The road to the trailhead was totally clear of snow and debris, though quite covered with potholes. The trail is a steady moderate climb with several stream crossings for roughly the first two miles, then breaks the tree line shortly after there is a fork for hikers and climbers. The hiking trail from here on out is more steep with lots of scree to keep things interesting. We were able to reach just below the highest point on the ridge but didn’t make the last 100 feet or so due to some residual snow. Wonderful view of the glacier, the valley below, and the surrounding mountains. Weather was perfectly warm and there was little wind, even at the top. A great hike that I’ll hopefully do again soon!

For as little effort this trail requires, the views are amazing!! There’s still a bit of snow at the top, but nothing terrible! It’s passable with boots and poles if needed! Also a lot of friendly marmots about at the top

First the road is not that bad. I’m sure in spring it’s a mess. It after mid June this road is very passable for all vehicles just watch for potholes etc. The trail itself is not hard. I am an asthmatic with no right ACL and this trail didn’t pose a problem for me. What makes it hard is the immediate climb after the first bridge crossing followed by switchbacks that last until the first water crossing. There are 4 of them by the way, well at least this year so far as it was a heavy snow year. The last two are the more dangerous ones. I found that if you walk a little mower along the bank you will find a shallower manageable pool. There are a lot of vistas but wow! Is all I have to say when you get to the glacier. I was fortunate I had a blue sky day and Mt. Baker was amazing as was the glacier. This trail does split just below the fourth crossing to the right is the climbers route for the Baker summit and to the left is the overlook.

Con... this hike is rated at 5.5 miles out and back. Wrong!!! Try closer to 7 miles.
