Took the Crystal Cave Tour and it surpassed my expectations. The trail has great views and you're treated with a waterfall at the end while you wait for tour to start. Highly recommend the tour!

Stunning caves not to be missed, trial itself has a bit of steps, otherwise it is pretty easy. There are pretty streams and falls along the trial.

Good moderate trail with some inclines on the track. Some beautiful scenes of the Forrest on the way.

Good hike , view was disappointing

Great trails, but note that the highlighted route shown starting from Big Basin Way (Hwy 9) is on the Achistaca Trail which is for hikers/equestrian only (to the south-west of Skyline Blvd), whereas mtb-ers need to use the actual Saratoga Gap Trail which is just on the other side of Skyline! Once you get to the Charcoal Rd intersection, you can head across Skyline and onto Hickory Oaks Trail and continue north, enjoying Peters Creek Trail and then Chestnut Trail. We did this as an out-and-back, but you can also use Long Ridge Road&Trail to make a small loop at the end as highlighted.

Good close to SF exercise hike with good Pacific views.

Absolutely amazing sweeping views and great trail. Great loop. Not difficult for fit hikers. Only negative was major gnats (it was super hot the day we went in July)! Definitely a top hike in the Bay Area

Beautiful!

Gorgeous view, the trail itself is not that challenging but the trail signs are a bit confusing, grab a map at the trailhead

Extended trail loop: clockwise from Rodeo Lagoon, 8.5 miles, 1400 ft elevation, 3 hours 4 minutes .

Easy cave access with some really great views on the inside. No actual caving involved for the family tour, so it is accessible to all once down there. However the hike down and up are an over 300 ft change in elevation in just half a mile.

This is a great trail. You can only go in the cave if you buy a ticket. Then you get a guided tour wich is really interesting. The path leading to the cave is really pretty as well with a waterfall and some great views.

You can either book prior online or get your tickets at the two visitor centers. The first visitor center when entering the park only takes cash, but the Lodgepole takes CC which is farther in the park.

Pretty fun experience and the hike was super easy. You get to see a beautiful waterfall on the way and back from cave and the tour guide was definitely great at presenting the history of the cave. It's pretty cold in there so make sure to have a jacket :)

I found this trail challenging but not too hard; good if you're kinda out of shape but want to push yourself. The hills and valleys are split up so it's not just one grueling uphill climb. The views and wildflowers are really beautiful in the summer.

Parking is limited, yet there were several open spots when I arrived and left. Trail is easy to follow, but make sure you're heading for the right parking lot at the end (there are signs for two different ones). There is almost no shade so be sure to bring sunscreen and lots of water!

Expanded this loop to get some extra distance. Hiked clockwise starting at east end of Rodeo Lagoon - Miwok Trail - Bobcat Trail - SCA Trail - Conzelman Road rounbadout- Julian Trail - back to starting point. Total hike: 8.5 miles, 1,391 ft elevation, 3 hrs. Great trail. Refer to recorded map.

Great workout!!!

We did this loop on a beautiful 80-degree day in late May. Plenty of wildflowers were still out. Big views over the hills to the Pacific were gorgeous. Terrain not too challenging, but a few spots to get your heart rate up. Trail often wide enough to walk side by side. I'm glad we discovered the Midpen Open Space Preserves!

I had the pleasure of joining the 510 Hikers today. The hike started off pretty easy, but was soon challenged by the incline in some of the hills. Would I do this hike again? Yes, most definitely. The views are beautiful and there’s a number of shaded rest areas.

Great hike with lots of shade. Golden Spike trail is fascinating with some narrow passages and lots of back and forth amidst redwood trees and a few streams. Enough climbs to keep it interesting but on the east side of moderate.

Gorgeous views!

This one was a wonderful hike. Fully green valley view with wild flowers and poppies. We short circuited our hike through charquin trail and the second half of the hike had a bit of elevation. On the way back we spotted a couple of deers.

Wonderful array of wildflowers along the trail in midApril. Great view to the Pacific on the coast side, and to the Bay on the upper loop. Moderate terrain, trail is well-maintained.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful and it's a great moderately difficult hike, which in my opinion is perfect! therefore a 5/5

Beautiful, peaceful, views, shade, flowers, and wildlife.

Great little loop in Marin Headlands fairly close to the city! We started the loop clockwise to get the major incline out of the way, and it was a bit of a glute burner, but the views were just outstanding! Great wildlife viewing as well.

Took a little over 2 hours with a few photo stops along the way, LOTS of bikers and other hikers out fairly early, so try to get there at a decent hour for parking. Dogs are allowed on leash but saw plenty off leash during the morning.

We did Ridge trail and looped down on Hawkeyes trail to Ancient Oak Trail to Charquin and then ended on Ridge back to the parking lot. Took us 1.75 hours

Loved it. Mostly exposed trails, beautiful and quiet. Can watch the sunrise. However, the trails were not marked very well so got lost on the way back to the parking lot.

A relatively easy hike with good view of the mountains and bay. The signposts can be confusing. Highly recommend taking a map with you.
