The view is amazing. Anyone that says differently is taking it for granted. Bring lots of water because it gets hot and it’s uphill the whole way up. Make reservations ahead of time and bring a jacket for the caves because it can get fairly cold inside the caves. Loved it!!

Took the Crystal Cave Tour and it surpassed my expectations. The trail has great views and you're treated with a waterfall at the end while you wait for tour to start. Highly recommend the tour!

Perfect place to see the sunset .

8/7 - 8/11 hiked from Fernandez TH to Vandeberg 1st day then to Lillian 2nd day. Hike was moderately challenging with our heavy packs - training was key. All creeks were dry but lake water levels only couple feet down. Day hiked to Rainbow and Chittenden for fishing. Air quality pretty good considering Ferguson and Lyons fires were pretty close - blue skys most of the time with haze for couple hours at a time. Smoke seemed to settle down hill from us. BTW no campfires allowed except at Lillian. Overall the area is gorgeous and I recommend you go see for yourself!

Stunning caves not to be missed, trial itself has a bit of steps, otherwise it is pretty easy. There are pretty streams and falls along the trial.

It is a very easy trial amidst tall trees. As the name states, view from the rock is outstanding at sunset. It is worth every step to reach here for this view alone, and a pretty easy hike.

Gorgeous and the water is a welcome cool off. Be prepared for crowds though.

Great trail. Spotted a bear, while hiking up.

Great and easy walk. Recommend getting there early. Great views and people watching. People, please don't try to do this thing barefoot, I saw 4 people at the start trying to walk barefoot in the river... They probably didn't make it far. Buy some sandals or watershoes. Also, in general at zion don't bother with camping in the park, it stays so hot there in the summer months. Ask one of the park employees for dispersed camp zones. Stayed in one surrounding a lake and it was beautiful

Great hike. We camped at Emerald Lake and it was a beast with camping gear. In the morning we threw on day packs and hit the summit. Amazing views.

Great hike! Just be watchful of bears. We spotted one about 15/20 feet from us while doing the hike not even half way in.

will do it again. busy but well maintained. easy to follow

This is the best hike I’ve ever been on! It was so beautiful, you see everything from a stream, huge rocks, wildlife (we saw a huge snake on the trail) AND there’s a bunch of shade. Not to mention, we only saw about 4 different groups the whole time we were on it, which was a Saturday. It was a little hard to find at first but man, id recommend this trail to anyone!

Scott’s review was very useful as it allowed us to prepare ourselves for the height (I have a profound respect for heights, not fear, respect!)

We only hiked to the first lake, taking the watchtower route. We were fine until we hit the cliffs... (everyone else was fine there too, I was the one who clung to the walls and was focused on making it through.). The tough part is about 400m long with some seriously scary spots..

The way back was through the hump route.

Our children joined 20, 16 and 13. Trail was beautiful and demanding. We swam at the lake then hiked down.
Recommended for sure.

Great hike. Definitely moderate if you’re just doing Miners Trail. If you add in the Corcoran Trail the difficulty and work out goes up.

Entire summit was about 17.3 miles. We hiked it from 10am until 7pm. Very difficult but definitely worth it (especially seeing the mountain goats near emerald lake on the way up and way back down)! The air quality is really bad right now so the views are pretty hazy. But you should still make it to the shack for that overall sense of accomplishment! We saw a lot of people backpacking in around 6-7pm with hopes of camping. There didn't seem to be a ton of places to camp so that was interesting. A fellow hiker told us the chipmunks are so bad up there, they'll eat through anything you have. Anyways, do this one. You may hurt the next day but it's worth it!

Absolutely spectacular! Probably the best day hike I’ve ever been on! This trail has it all! We hit the trailhead at 0715 and had it all to ourselves! We went out to Heather Lake via Watchtower and back using the Hump Trail. The views on Watchtower are breathtaking! If you’re scared of heights this is NOT the trail for you! The edge of the trail drops off precipitously to say the least! I jumped out of planes in the Army and still found myself hugging the wall! Watchtower is the easiest way to get out to the lakes (side-hilling). Heather Lake is amazing. Crystal clear water and the trout breaching for insects is a spectacle in itself. We opted to return to the trailhead via The Hump Trail. The elevation gain on the Hump Trail is no joke. The views from the top are amazing. Going back we must have seen 30 or more hikers. Some more prepared than others. Go early and enjoy nature!!

This is just so fun. Make sure you have good shoes (that you're ok getting wet) the water is cold pretty much no matter when you go and the rocks in combo with the cold water will kill your feet.

I loved this hike! Took my boyfriend for his birthday and it was lovely, BUT it was horrible the way back because we did not bring enough water. Please bring more than you think you need!!

It is worth your time. Good exercise . My friend and I spent almost 3 hours there. It will be smart if you bring your snacks and enough water with you. It doesn't hurt to bring your camera with you.

we met up slightly after the sunrise for a relatively cool hike, despite the season. The beginning of the trail is paved, but quickly hits dirt. The trail eventually finds sanctuary from the sun as the canyon narrows. It’s a pretty easy trail, and I recommend it for any beginner looking to lengthen their hike. the area by the mine is nice and shaded. The hike to the mine is relatively short, extend it for the full sunset loop trail.

Hope you enjoy!

A easy hiking to the river, with the mode of expectation of hiking in the river!

Great trail for walking

I hiked only portions of this, rather than the entire trail because I was deviating to other trails on the same trip. The miles of this trail I hiked had me pass Emerald Pools, which was lovely. I also thought the view was incredible once you pass Emerald Pools, where I was looking down, through the valley.

This hike is so AMAZING. The shack! The goats! The mountain meadows! The 3 waterfalls! Loved it!

Fairly crowded with bikes and a lot of dogs. Well maintained path, Long enough for serious race training runs.

Very cool experience hiking up the river. Would have been a little easier if the water wasn't so muddy. Definitely get there early morning to avoid the crowds. We were headed back out around 12:30 and the amount of people just entering was mind blowing, especially since all the flash flood warning suggest being out of the narrows by early afternoon. Way too many people for my liking.

This was by far the most wonderful hike ive ever done. Challenging though, but will give you the best legs workout. Although i didnt get to see the emerald and pear, heather was just so beautiful. The water is perfect for a quick dip, and surprisingly is not that cold!
