Good trail. Great view of Rainier and got to watch a paraglider launch off. Well maintained. Nice forest hike.

Lots of dogs on trail, friendly hikers, view of Mount Rainier is gorgeous near the top.

I have done this trail before and loved it as much today as I did the first time. Although a Weds, the trail was busy with people and furry four-legged friends. An incredibly beautiful day. It's a great running trail for those who would like the challenge. One woman had run the trail 18 times today!

Beautiful view at the top, took an hour up & down.

The hike up is nothing special but the view from the top with all the paragliders taking off is amazing. Absolutely worth the effort to see. Met some guys that work for the paragliding company so the next time I'm back I'll be with them taking the more scenic way back down the mountain.

4/23/18- a beautiful sunny day. The mountain was out so there were great views. There are 2 different major view points. About 2.5 miles up, there is a great view of Mount Rainer. Another mile and there is the top viewpoint where the paraglyders take off. It was a great late morning hike. On a Monday morning, we arrived around 930am and we got the last parking spot. The parking is limited and the port a potties are not maintained well-a mess and no toilet paper. It's a very dog friendly trail. Our dog had a blast. There were quite a few people with dogs, which was great. Not great if you don't like dogs. Overall, a great hike and more uphill than I anticipated.

Try not to run down the hill. It can be disastrous.

Scenic Hike. Gorgeous views at the top.

Very busy during the summer. Parking can be scarce and you can be waiting in choke point in the trail for a few minutes waiting for people to pass through.

Great trail! Started hike at about 8am! Great amount of people on trail. About an hour up and hour back. After 9:30am, trail got really busy!

If you like rush hour traffic on the trail, this is the one for you. Considering what the Pacific Northwest has to offer in this area, the trail itself was rather boring with little to no views the entire way up. The view at the top is pretty great and the color of the lake was neat, but be prepared to shuffle through tourists as well as locals and good luck getting a spot on the cliff to take in the view (which was basically 50+ people taking selfies). You're better off going the extra clip to the very top to get away from the crowds, but even then it was pretty busy. It was good to spend a nice day outside with the great weather, but won't be doing this trail again.

Good, steady, upward trail! Great view at the top and we saw a paraglider attempting to take off.

Great workout! Ascending can be tough but the reward is outstanding! descending was easier but steep.

Great Trail, Great View

The hike was beautiful. I am a beginner with hiking and this was my 2nd hike. It was definitely a little harder than I expected but that’s mostly because of the snow. We had to hike to the trailhead through the snow which meant falling a bit. However, it was totally worth the views!

Incredible views of Rainier at the top! Great hike, great workout, fun to see the paragliders launch at the top!

nice short hike

Easy hike/walk. Not crowded, but got there early. Beautiful waterfall-ish. Not crowded.

Beautiful well maintained trail.. Took it from Issaquah High school.. Totally worth every sweat drop going up..

Awesome trail. Great rewarding view at top. A little bit crowded during midday. Lots of unleashed dogs.

Nice hike through the woods, steep grade, but not too difficult. Beautiful View at the top. Well worth the effort.

Quick drive from Seattle. The view is fantastic. Expect to see at least another twenty hikers at the lookout.

Awesome place to go in winter and also in spring when it is slightly less taxing. Go there enough prepared to walk in snow for good two miles if you are going in winter or early spring. The hike experience is wonderful and worth it!

This is my go to trail when I don't have a lot of time. It is quiet and only requires a little effort to get to from the High School side.

Great hike and an even better workout w/ spectacular views.

Long steady climb. Sunday was very rainy and muddy. We loved it but almost no view. The descent was very easy on the knees, which made me happy.

Amazing trail and beautiful as well! Very icy so you have to be careful but definitely worth it.

Very crowded. Nice hike.

Great sunset hike. Feel comfortable hiking alone as you are never really alone.

Great sunrise hike or afternoon hike. Crowded.

A very nice area for hiking. Very easy system and nicely marked.
