Nice enough little trail for in town. Shady, a little muddy after snow on the south side. Parts of it are kinda rocky and uneven, but an easy trail.
Short trail, relatively flat, however does have some rocks/roots. Easy trail for jogging if desired.
fun and simple
I liked it. It's easy and close to where I live.
At Park West you can walk through forests, fields and along Walnut Branch to Hwy 90.
nice easy trail for beginners. Easy walk and better than a cement path.
I’m probably the most novice you can get on trails so this was solid for me on a fatbike, and it looks like something from fern gully so solid place
We took our kids, ages 8,5, and 3 and had a great time! Despite there being no markers, it was easy to find our way and a fun trail for the kids to explore.
nice trail, road noise kinda bad in places but really pretty walk.
perfect dirt today
Nice trail. Saw wildlife but only one human. Parts are quiet and serene, others filled with road noise. Sine it is the middle of June in Texas, hit the trail just after sun-up and let my pup pick the route and I think he found them all. Special morning for Bruno and me.
I love this place! If you're looking for something local with less foot traffic, this is an excellent place to go. Quick & easy to navigate through. Definitely plan to go back there again!
Quick easy trail, pretty fun though. Lots of shade. A little rocky and muddy at parts. The trails are pretty narrow so if its busy it might be a problem for hyper dogs. You could easily make it shorter or longer by taking the side trails along the loop.
Fun short trail, good for all capabilities.
Just a simple walk in the woods, quiet and peaceful when the adjacent ball fields aren’t being used. Someone would have to be an expert at getting lost to become even mildly disoriented despite the lack of trail markings. Basically no challenges on this trail; it reminds me of the informal trails we could find in the woods as a kid.
Muddy. Only 2 laps with clean up.
We don’t have much for hiking here in NB. But I really enjoyed this nature walk. Definitely not a hike. Just a easy pretty walk (in Spring)
Trail is quite easy and when dry great for a quick shot of natural beauty. Trail isn't marked at all, bit well worn. Lots of informal trails makes it somewhat confusing. The recorded trail on the app takes you the the outskirts of the trail, which isn't always the best path (right next to busy highway and the baseball diamonds). Great for locals, but not the best trail in New Braunfels by far.
It would be nice if people weren’t such dicks a keep knocking down my trails I’ve personally made in the park. That just shows how trapped they’re in there minds. When it comes to MTBing your mind is the trail
Lots of fun. Very muddy in some places, so be prepared if its rained recently. The kids loved it.
Originally we were going to start at the upper trail head. After about a 1/2 mile of trying to figure out which trails were open or closed, we decided to head down to the lower trail head instead. The trails are well established and pretty easy to follow. However, so many of the trails over lap each other or are multi directional that sometimes the signage is a little confusing and there were a couple of times were we simply didn’t know what trail we were on. Also, it seemed like there were more established and marked trails than what the park’s and AllTrails’s map show. This made it a little confusing at time but it made you think that maybe, just maybe, that what’s hiking in Purgatory might actually feel like.
Simple and repetitive, conditions good. Can’t get lost.
decent natural Trail with a decent amount of shade covered by trees. Wildlife along the trails I seen some whitetail deer.
Nice quick little trail. Nothing special. Next to a baseball field
Really nice trail for a quick hike
