Great, quick go-to trail for hiking in the front range! Dogs loved it too!

Great hike for my daughter and I.

Hiked on 4/22. Close to Denver and low foot traffic which makes for a nice option. There is certainly a steep incline at first but it levels out some and is doable for the whole family. Beautiful views at the top.

Most of the hike was without wind except the top of the mountain. Wonderful hike! I agree with the previous review, this hike is a gem!

Very nice walk for any skill level. Pleasant and quiet even though there wefe quite a few other folks out. Gorgeous area.

I decided to have an impromptu sunrise breakfast overlooking Denver. This trail provided a pretty nice spot to welcome the new day. I started before sun up on a Tuesday morning so I was the only person on the trail. I followed the Red Rocks trail to the Morrison Slide trail and did the loop clockwise. It was pretty easy with only a few sections that required some high stepping. If you live in the Denver area and you are looking for a quick hike with a view of the sunrise, then give this one a shot.

A gem with a short hike! A short drive from Denver but it felt as if you were deep in the mountains with an amazing 360 view. The steep incline makes it a challenging hike but definitely worth it.

Good hike, not too long or too short and a great view of Denver and Red Rocks

This hike is easy. Well maintained trail. My kids loved the view on the top of the rocks.

What a view! What a view! A short little trail up to the top. Up the north side down the south! Once you get on top it’s time to send a Peaker! There’s a great rock spot that gives you a 360 view of the Rocky’s! Oh boy! We sat for about an hour or so a peaked up two cones and a peakerwood! I would forsure come back for the views brah!

Peak level.. 8.3/10

An easy trail with unnecessary switchbacks rendering it even easier. Short and quick.

Really nice foothill hike with decent views. I went on a Wednesday around 4pm and there were only two spots left in the parking lot. Quite a few mountain bikers, but they were all very courteous. The views on Morrison Slide trail were pretty awesome. The trail was completely dry, with the exception of a couple of small areas, which were not a big deal at all. There is very little tree cover on this trail, so prepare for that. I’m not sure I would want to do this trail in the summer for that reason. Also, I figure this is a prime location for rattle snakes when it does get hot, so I’m glad I got it out of the way when I did. All in all, it was a good hike and would be a great starter hike to bring lowland visitors as they adjust to the altitude.

Really dig this trail. Great views.

Great For A Family Outing!!

Did this hike today - so beautiful! We really enjoyed all of the openings and spots to sit and soak up the views. There are actually benches scattered throughout this trail! Hike was part wooded, part exposed. Very little snow on the trail, but some mud. Spikes not needed.

Did it last week and it was great! Definitely had to stop for breaks at a few points- took the north trail up and south trail down. Few icy spots- boots were fine, especially w pup to hurry me up. View at the top is amazing with few people. Quick and easy:

An absolute blast to do trail running on with all of the rolling hills. Well maintained trail with variety of views including looking over the 285 drive. Good chance to see wildlife too.

easy trail, family friendly. some small snow spots in the shade, easily avoidable. would like to explore the trail network around this one a bit more.

Awesome Mountain View!

pretty scenary but nothing exceptional. moderately challenging trails. good amount of trails to close from.

Gorgeous views. Kind people. Decent hike, not too strenuous. My kids loved it.

Not horribly strenuous but definitely steep in parts.. Good length. North and south loop meet halfway up the hike. I preferred the N loop because it was more forresty. The second half was a bit muddy, but ice was minimal. Nice variety of trees and terrain. Views were gorgeous- 360degree pretty much- snowy peaks and the city!

Quick easy hike and a good view of Denver :)

Great views of the Front Range and Denver including Res Rocks. This is a must hike!

Steep hike so bring an extra pair of lungs if you’re built for speed, not for comfort. Great views with rock formations at top. Great place to hang out in the sun for a bit.

Great interval training, good views and not crowded

Of course I’m from the flatlands of Michigan – so this trail seems great to me.

Very kid friendly; must bring my 5yo next time.
