Beautiful trail with many hops over the creek. I did this trail during winter and was a bit icy.

Beautiful views and a good workout. No complaints!

The trail isn’t too difficult at all. There were some extremely wet/slushy spots that made some parts rather slippery. The waterfall itself was nice, and the water was still a decent temperature to swim. Scenery is nice, but again, nothing out of this world. Wouldn’t rate this hard like AllTrails has it, but it is a decent hike. Happy to have done it, wouldn’t be one that I did twice.

Clear skies, very windy, great views of the Bay and the ocean. Some incline and some decline but plenty of gentle grade.

Beautiful views from the ground of the rock formations and canyon. The trail end does not have any Wow factor and the views are consistent along the whole trail. We did it in the winter and spring or summer might be more fun with the creek crossings and blooming wildlife. I would recommend this trail as a sight seeing activity rather than a trail hike. Good to go in 1 mile and out or for an easy day walk.

This trail was perfect for a beginner had a little of everything.. views, shady trees, rough areas, we loved will do it again

I hiked this trail back in September on a weekend. Parking was a nightmare so beware. The trial itself was pretty cool even though it was pretty crowded. We packed our water shoes and our lunch, so once we got to the end of the trail, we changed shoes and continued on past the point that most people turned around. By this point, there was no one else around us (which was awesome) so we ate our lunch in the shade on a big rock. Overall I thought this trail was kind of boring though. It’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but, it took us a long time and there wasn’t all that much to see. You’re basically stuck in a canyon looking at the same thing for miles. I also got stung by a yellow jacket on our hike out. That could happen anywhere, but it didn’t add to my excitement of the hike. We did this hike in between our stays in Sedona and Flagstaff, so it was nice to see some greenery. But, I think next time, I’d find a hike with a little more umph to it!

Loved the challenge!! So beautiful! Can’t wait to go again! The waterfall left me speechless

6 or 3 miles hikes loop! amazing views and it was fun and challenging getting across some big rocks on the trail. Would definitely do it again!

On a clear day we were even able to see bits of Monterey Bay from this trail.

Great hike. Highly recommend it. Loved the river crossings because it added some fun. The end of the trail is amazingly beautiful and peaceful. Wasn't too crowded since it was the day after Christmas.

Amazing scenery where you could both see the Pacific Ocean and Bay Area. Friendly to hiker and biker. Worth to visit again!

It took several hours, nice view! However, the weather is too dry, a lot of dust on the trail. Will suggest to try after little rain.

So much fun. I ran it and would highly recommend this to trail runners.

Arguable the most beautiful trail I’ve ever hiked. Period. If you are not afraid of heights, definitely try to climb on some of the rocks that can help you see the view better.

Great trail with many shallow river crossings. Waterproof boots were really helpful. Plenty of shade resulting in a few icy patches. Beautiful canyon walls and greenery make this one of the best trails I have ever hiked.

came to hike...trailed closed due to logging operation.

As a fairly inexperienced hiker, this almost 10 mile trek took me about 5.5hrs to complete, but the view from the top was pretty spectacular. Granted I also had my Corgi child with me, so although you're shaded by trees for almost the entirely of the hike, extra water breaks were needed. (Side note: Although my pup made it the full length of the hike, it's not a great trail for small dogs. There were a lot of really rocky stretches that were a disadvantage to short legged pups & makes for slow-going.) It was also early November when I hiked this so we didn't go through as much water, but if you go during the warmer months, you'll want to pack enough to get you through. There's a bathroom at the top, but I didn't check to see if there was a place to refill drinking water since I still had plenty. There were also picnic tables set up if you were wanting a designated place to take a lunch break; from there you'll see a wide rocky road leading up toward the tower. That's where you're gonna head to then take the small trail to your left for amazing views of the surrounding forest, all the way down into Prescott. Lastly, if you want more of a workout, follow the trail clockwise since the first stretch is almost entirely uphill. If you want a more intermittent workout with an easier finish, take the trail counterclockwise. Enjoy!

Great trail. Have to power hike for some of the stair step parts up but overall it’s 75-80% runable

This is a nice long, but easy hike into a beautiful canyon. Pretty creek to rest at by at the end of the trail.

Nice long trail with good views and fun stream crossings. Got lost a few times so helped that people were around. I bet this is beautiful in the fall with the leaves changing!

Was a blast! Cant wait to do it in the warmer months to swim in the water holes!

Got there on Sunday, was not crowded at all. Gradual elevation may make you catch your breath. Overall a nice trail for getaway.

First time we hiked this trail so only went a couple miles in before turning around. We saw a Doe and her three fawns. A beautiful area and a nice easy hike. Looking forward to coming back and trying to finish all the way around and go to the Lookout.

Going down is the warm up. Get prepared to hike back. Do the extra mile at the end for the waterfall.

In the winter this is a moderate trail because crossing icy rocks many times isn’t easy. Still fun, but bring a walking stick, carry an extra pair of socks, and have dry shoes waiting in the car.

An easy hike with a gradual elevation gain and several stream crossings. Views are amazing.

Super fun. easy. beautiful. you do walk across the river a few times so be prepared.

Beautiful trail. We didn’t find it physically challenging but it was a little mentally challenging for me (I’m scared of heights) as we hiked the middle section along the ridge. Beautiful views of the Santa Cruz Mts and Monterey Bay. Highly recommend.
